Chapter 903. A Matter Between Two People

Tong Xiaohuai accepted the roses from Yan Bo, "Thank you!"

Holding the roses, Tong Xiaohuai buried her head in them and smelled them for a while before raising her head.

Seeing Yanbo looking at her, she raised an eyebrow.

"You especially like white?" Yanbo put his arm around her shoulder and led her back to the sidewalk.

"Um……"

She didn't know before, but after Yanbo sent her all sorts of flowers, she realized that she did indeed prefer white flowers more.

The man beside her always seemed to help her discover things about herself that she had never paid attention to before, such as her likes and dislikes or her true nature.

In fact, she had never strolled around the streets so leisurely with anyone before.

So, as she walked away from the flower shop with her flowers in her hands, a boutique shop filled with all sorts of exquisite little things caught her eye.

Yanbo is someone who is very attentive to other people's feelings and cues. Seeing her like this, he didn't ask any questions, but directly led her to the small shop, lifted the transparent curtain, and brought her inside.

"Welcome! Welcome!"

The shop owner must be a bird lover; as soon as Yanbo and Tong Xiaohuai entered, the parrot hanging by the door started chirping happily.

Tong Xiaohuai and Yan Bo couldn't help but glance at the parrot a few times, and the bird then chirped even more enthusiastically at them, "Welcome! Welcome!"

Tong Xiaohuai said to Bo very happily, "So cute..."

Yan Bo looked away. "Do you want to raise it?"

Tong Xiaohuai quickly waved her hands and shook her head, "No, no, I don't have that time. I'm afraid of letting a life down."

Yan Bo looked at her intently and sensed that she wasn't joking, so he suppressed the thought that had just arisen in his mind.

Tong Xiaohuai's attention was drawn to a pair of ceramic wind chimes in the shop. She pulled Yanbo over and looked up at the two adorable little dogs.

"You like this pair?"

The shop owner hung the wind chimes a little high, so Tong Xiaohuai had to look up to see them. Yan Bo handed them a pair and gently tugged on the string under the wind chimes. The crisp "ding-ding" sound echoed in the small shop.

"Yes, very cute!"

Tong Xiaohuai tilted her head slightly, her bright eyes fixed on the pair of wind chimes.

Yan Bo raised his hand and took the wind chimes off. He turned around, stepped to the cashier, and placed the wind chimes in front of the proprietress. "Could you please wrap these wind chimes for me?"

The proprietress readily agreed, "Okay!" She bent down and neatly wrapped the two wind chimes with bubble wrap. Suddenly remembering something, she looked up and called out to the man and woman standing by the display shelf looking at something.

"Sir, would you like it wrapped together or wrapped separately?"

Yan Bo was about to suggest wrapping them together when Tong Xiaohuai preemptively replied, "Wrap them separately, thank you!"

Then she smiled at Yan Bo and said, "One for you and one for me, it's just right!"

Yan Bo couldn't help but laugh, reaching out to pat her head, while his other hand, without smiling, scooped up a pair of small items from somewhere. "Should we buy these too?"

Tong Xiaohuai's gaze fell on his palm, where a pair of matching couple phone charms were placed.

"It's nice, do you like it?"

Tong Xiaohuai had never used couple items with anyone before, but she wasn't opposed to using them with Yan Bo.

Yanbo then placed the phone charm on the checkout counter, and after a good while, the two of them walked out of the boutique hand in hand, happy to see each other.

Tong Xiaohuai was holding the bouquet of white roses in her other hand, while Yan Bo had a large bag full of items in his other hand.

Back at Yanbo's place, Yanbo found a vase to temporarily house the bouquet of flowers for Tong Xiaohuai, while Tong Xiaohuai busied herself emptying the items from the bag.

Almost all the items they pulled out came in pairs.

Besides the wind chimes and phone charms, there were also a pair of couple mugs, two couple soup bowls, and two couple pillows...

Aunt Xin came out carrying fruit, glanced at the items on the coffee table, and smiled, "Oh, Miss Tong, did you buy all the couple's products?"

Tong Xiaohuai's face instantly turned red. Yan Bo, who came out carrying a vase, cheerfully replied to Aunt Xin, "Not yet, there are also couple slippers, couple pajamas, and..."

"Yanbo! I'm thirsty, get me a glass of water!" Tong Xiaohuai, who was so embarrassed she wished she could disappear into a hole, hurriedly interrupted Yanbo's offhand remark.

Yanbo and Aunt Xin exchanged a smile, then both shut up and went about their own business.

Yan Bo, following the orders of the little queen, poured a cup of steaming water and came over, placing it on the coffee table before sitting down beside her.

"I think matching outfits are great, what's there to be embarrassed about?"

Tong Xiaohuai rolled her eyes at him, "That's enough! Cups and bowls are one thing, but slippers and matching pajamas... What are you thinking?"

Yan Bo shrugged. "I didn't think about anything. I just felt that if we slept in matching pajamas, even if you weren't by my side, I would have the illusion that you were with me."

Tong Xiaohuai felt increasingly unable to continue the conversation, so she picked up her cup, stood up abruptly, and ran to the kitchen to watch Aunt Xin cook.

Yan Bo watched her storm into the kitchen, chuckled to himself for a moment, then realized he was becoming increasingly childish. He touched his nose, shook his head with a helpless smile.

They walked outside for quite a while. Aunt Xin's lunch was basically ready. Tong Xiaohuai went in and came out with the soup a few minutes later.

"Third Young Master, dinner is ready."

Yanbo picked up the newly bought couple's cup, bowl, and chopsticks, washed them in the kitchen, and brought them directly to the dining room.

Tong Xiaohuai didn't think there was anything wrong with these paired items when she bought them, but after Aunt Xin asked her that question, and now seeing Yan Bo placing them on the table, she asked uncertainly, "Are they really for use?"

Yan Bo looked at her strangely, "Why not?"

As he spoke, he picked up the bowl and ladled out the soup.

Tong Xiaohuai was just shy. Now that she thought about it again, she realized, "Yeah, why not?"

As before, Aunt Xin cooked the rice and then left, leaving only Tong Xiaohuai and Yan Bo at the residence.

Only then did Tong Xiaohuai muster the courage to ask Yan Bo.

"Does your older brother... not like me very much?"

Yan Bo looked up at her and replied without thinking, "No! Big brother doesn't dislike you."

It was somewhat unexpected for Yan Bo that Tong Xiaohuai had waited until now to ask.

However, he wasn't lying. His older brother didn't dislike her; he was only targeting her because of her family background.

But for now, there's no need to tell her that much.

Tong Xiaohuai stared at him, as if trying to determine whether he was lying.

After watching for a while, he finally let out a long sigh of relief.

"Never mind, it doesn't matter whether I like it or not."

Her realization also surprised Yanbo.

Why do you say that?

"Relationships involve two people, don't they?"
