"Tsk tsk! That junior sister must be head over heels in love with you!"
Di Xu looked on with envy, his tone tinged with jealousy.
Yan Bo smiled and said, "Of course!"
Before this, he had indeed found it difficult to accept Tong Xiaohuai's proposal because of his pride.
But he was quickly persuaded by her.
She's right. Since he and she are going to spend their lives together, what difficulties can they overcome by supporting each other? What is there to be attached to or unable to let go of?
For example, if the situation were reversed today, Tong Xiaohuai would be in trouble. If Yan Bo had the ability, he would also do everything he could to help her.
"Please reschedule my business dinner tonight for tomorrow."
Originally, Yanbo had made a second appointment with a senior executive of a certain bank tonight, but now that the matter has been resolved, there's no need for him to rush to curry favor with anyone.
"Oh... you're going on a date tonight?" Di Xu thought that his boss was not only decisive and shrewd in business, but also in love.
Otherwise, how could he have coaxed his junior sister into helping him so fearlessly?
Unexpectedly, Yan Bo shook his head, "It's not a date, it's to pay respects to our elders."
Yan Bo was genuinely surprised that Tong Xiaohuai's money could be transferred to Yanhuang's account so smoothly.
He thought it would take her at least a few days to convince Tong Laoda and Tong Ma.
He had even prepared to offer some of Yanhuang's properties as collateral to Boss Tong.
After all, although he and Tong Xiaohuai were in a romantic relationship, in the eyes of their parents, this relationship was too fragile to withstand any blow.
Now that the money has arrived, Boss Tong hasn't even made a single phone call to question it. What does that mean?
This shows that in the eyes of Mr. and Mrs. Tong, he was already considered a son-in-law.
That's why they could transfer such a large sum of money to him so confidently and without any scruples, and without any collateral whatsoever.
Di Xu's expression shifted several times before he finally couldn't help but ask, "Boss, you and your junior sister, have you secretly pledged your lives to each other?"
Yan Bo glared at him. "What do you mean by 'privately engaged'? Haven't I already gotten her parents' approval? Alright, go ahead and get busy. The funds are in place, you have a lot to do."
After sending Di Xu away, Yan Bo made another call to the accounting director. Just before the end of the workday, the legal advisor brought over a stack of documents.
"Third Young Master, the agreement has been written according to your wishes. Please take a look."
This legal advisor was brought back from the capital by Yan Bo, so he was always referred to as the Third Young Master.
Yan Bo carefully reviewed the document and, finding no issues, gestured for the consultant to leave. He then tidied himself up, grabbed his car keys, and left the company.
On the way, he made a special detour to a private winery, picked up two jars of newly unearthed aged wine, and headed straight for the Tong family.
Tong Xiaohuai had already told her parents that Yanbo was coming over for dinner, so Uncle Guan prepared a large table of food. As soon as Yanbo entered the door, a fragrant aroma wafted over.
"It smells delicious! What good stuff is Uncle Guan cooking?"
Yan Bo bent down to change his shoes and stuffed the aged wine he was holding into Tong Xiaohuai's arms.
"These are all your favorite foods..."
Tong Xiaohuai opened the bag to take a look, "What did you buy? It's so heavy."
Yan Bo honestly admitted, "Osmanthus-flavored aged wine..."
Tong Xiaohuai gently kicked him from behind. He turned his head and looked down at her. "What's wrong?"
"Are you here to curry favor with my dad?" Tong Xiaohuai teased him with a wink.
Yan Bo chuckled and pinched her nose. "No, I'm here to please my father-in-law!"
Tong Xiaohuai blushed, avoided his gaze, and muttered, "Who's your father-in-law?"
Yan Bo just smiled and didn't say anything. He took the wine back and put it in another file bag in her arms.
"This is heavy, I'll carry it."
Tong Xiaohuai picked up the file folder and looked it over, then asked curiously, "What's this?"
Yan Bo winked at her, "A contract of servitude!"
Tong Xiaohuai blinked and asked smugly, "Who are you planning to sell it to? Me?"
Yan Bo smiled without saying a word, but took a step back and quickly kissed her on the cheek.
Tong Xiaohuai covered her face, feeling as if he hadn't just kissed her, but rather sprinkled a spark of fire on her face.
The two walked into the living room, which was empty.
"Where are Uncle Tong and Aunt Tong?" Yan Bo looked around.
Tong Xiaohuai gestured towards her parents' bedroom with her lip, "They're in their room. It seems they're watching some nostalgic movie. They said it's more romantic to watch it in their room."
Tong Xiaohuai's face was full of teasing, but in her heart, she actually longed for and envied the deep affection her parents had maintained for decades.
Finding someone to spend a year with you isn't difficult.
I could probably find someone who would stay with me for ten years.
But finding someone who will stay with you for decades and continue to care about your feelings is really, really difficult.
Yan Bo seemed to see through her longing, and raised his hand to flick her forehead. "That's great! When we're old, we'll hide in our own room and watch movies together, and no one will be able to bother us."
Tong Xiaohuai glared at him. "Look at you! Who wants to keep you company?"
Yan Bo gently put his arm around her waist, "You, let me tell you, you can't escape."
Tong Xiaohuai's face flushed red again, and she nudged him with her elbow, broke free from his embrace, and stepped over to sit down on the sofa.
Yan Bo first carried the bag of wine into the dining room, then turned back and plopped down next to Tong Xiaohuai.
He reached out and grasped her hand, which was resting on the book. "Xiao Huai, thank you! The matter has been resolved!"
Tong Xiaohuai looked up at him and coughed awkwardly.
"No need to thank me, we're practically family."
Yan Bo gave her a light kiss on the lips. "Well, there's really no need for these empty words between us."
Tong Xiaohuai found his intimacy somewhat unbearable; after all, this was her home, and her parents and other people could appear at any time.
He turned his face away uncomfortably, his gaze falling on the file folder on the coffee table.
"Tell me honestly, what is that?"
Yan Bo glanced at the bag with a smile on his lips. "Didn't I tell you? It's a contract of servitude!"
Tong Xiaohuai rolled her eyes. "Young Master Yan is so precious, who could afford to buy him?"
"You don't understand! These contracts of servitude are all about fate. If you're destined to be with someone, you don't have to pay a penny; if you're not, you can't find them even for a fortune!" Yan Bo teased her smugly again.
Tong Xiaohuai pouted, "Come on, it's priceless! I don't have any money, don't try to scam me!"
Yan Bo smiled and snuggled closer to her, "You're the one I'm meant to be..."
Tong Xiaohuai couldn't stand his clingy attitude, so she pushed him away, got up, and walked towards the kitchen.
Yan Bo knew she was shy, so he didn't follow her. He sat on the sofa, took the tea brought by the maid, and took a small sip.
Yan Zhong, who was waiting in the capital for his youngest son to come back, never expected that his methods would not only fail to win his son back, but would instead push him into someone else's home.
