Chapter 106 Kneeling

Chapter 106 Kneeling

Ji Wanwan's desperate cries echoed from inside the metal enclosure. Si Shu's kind and gentle face loomed larger and larger before her as she murmured to herself.

"Grandma won't die, and she can't possibly die. I haven't even tasted her meatballs yet, and she won't break her promise. So, she must be waiting for me at home..."

Her carefully made-up face was now soaked with tears, and the dust that swirled up made her look even more disheveled.

My vision was blurry, and my hair, which was originally in a low bun, was now loose.

"Be quiet."

Sovach looked at her impatiently, already trying to focus on dealing with Kolov, but she was getting on his nerves.

Ji Wanwan couldn't control her sobs. She glared at him fiercely and said, "You'll all die a horrible death!"

Sofia stood behind her, leaned over and wrapped her arms around her chest, her fingertips caressing her skin intimately.

"Don't get so excited, I'll reward you with a good show later."

"Get out of my way! If your goal is to kill Kolov, then I'm useless. I have nothing to do with him anymore!"

It doesn't matter now, and it won't matter in the future.

He wouldn't risk his life to save her.

Ji Wanwan could only guess that they wanted to kill Kolov, after all, he had once said that his head was worth millions.

"Then we'll wait and see."

After saying that, he stuffed the tattered rag back into her mouth, saying it was too noisy.

Soon, the sound of a car engine came from outside, followed by the screeching of tires screeching against the ground. Kolov brought the car to a steady stop at the door.

Ananda and the others were in the distance; there was nowhere to hide, only barren grass all around.

Kolov quickly got out of the car and walked inside, wanting to see Ji Wanwan unharmed.

Two men stood outside the iron gate, blocking his way. Their voices were deep and resonant: "Leave your weapons behind."

Kolov's face turned ashen. He threw his pistol on the ground and allowed the two men to search him, in case he had any other weapons.

If Ji Wanwan hadn't been there, the two of them wouldn't have been so arrogant.

As soon as Kolov entered, his gaze locked onto Ji Wanwan, scanning her up and down to make sure she wasn't injured.

Sophia whispered in Ji Wanwan's ear, "See? He came for you." Then she gave a triumphant smile.

"Stay away from her!" Kolov roared in fury.

Sophia stood up, toying with a small silver-gray knife in her hand, casually running it across Ji Wanwan's face, risking a cut if she wasn't careful.

"Brother, I've been waiting for you for so long. If you don't come soon, your little darling will become a cold corpse."

"You dare?"

"If I dare to take your life, what wouldn't I dare to do?"

Kolov clenched his fists, and the wound on his arm gradually tore open.

"Release them, or you'll all die." He gritted his teeth, his gaze fixed on Ji Wanwan.

Sovach pressed the pistol against Ji Wanwan's forehead again, his tone mocking.

"Stop acting superior. You know best whether we'll die first or she will."

Sophia held the dagger to Ji Wanwan's neck: "That's right, brother, with a light slash of my hand, your little darling wife will be dead."

Kolov's eyes narrowed slightly, his body tense; he was afraid Ji Wanwan was dead...

He angrily ripped open his collar: "I can give you the title of heir, and I can give you all those powers as well, on the condition that you don't harm her in the slightest."

He didn't care about those things; if he wanted them, he could take them back anytime.

But Ji Wanwan is dead, and truly dead...

Sofia's red lips parted in a wide grin, and she burst into laughter before suddenly grabbing Ji Wanwan's chin.

"I told you he loves you, and you didn't believe me."

Ji Wanwan closed her eyes, not wanting to see or hear anything, tears silently streaming down her face.

She hadn't recovered from her grandmother's passing and couldn't accept that she was still in contact with Kolov.

It's not over yet; things are even getting worse.

Then she looked at Kolov: "Brother, I remember I said I came with your life."

"Kill me? Do you know what the consequences will be?"

Kolov looked anxious and wanted to get closer to Ji Wanwan, but was blocked by two rows of bodyguards.

"I haven't thought about that yet, but I know the consequences for her."

Sofia's eyes darkened, and she tightened her grip slightly, causing a trickle of blood to seep from Ji Wanwan's neck.

Ji Wanwan suddenly opened her eyes, her whole body trembling uncontrollably, her eyelids lowered, the blade so close to her.

Kolov's heart skipped a beat. He had seen all sorts of big scenes, but now he was so scared that cold sweat broke out on his back.

"Don't touch her. If you want my life, come and take it yourself."

He clenched his fists tightly; at this moment, he had no choice but to obey her, otherwise Ji Wanwan would die in the next second.

He didn't want to...

Upon hearing this, Ji Wanwan shook her head repeatedly and sobbed. She had said she didn't want his life.

That would be too much of a burden.

I never expected that what I said a month ago would come true now.

Sophia's alluring laughter echoed from inside the tin shack. She put away the dagger in her hand, but the gun was still pressed against her forehead.

Sofia stood up, her figure alluring, her stiletto heels making a clattering sound on the concrete floor.

She walked toward Kolov and stood in front of him, completely unperturbed.

Her fingertips touched Kolov's chest: "Kneel down." Her voice was as soft as a feather, yet it sent chills down one's spine.

Kolov's face was grim. He could hold her down now, but Ji Wanwan would die too. Once Sovach pulled the trigger, there would be no chance to save her.

He gritted his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead: "Why not just kill me?"

She chuckled, "Killing you directly wouldn't be fun. Of course, I'll play with you, brother."

As soon as she finished speaking, the dagger in her hand flew towards Ji Wanwan, the blade slicing through her cheek, and blood quickly flowed down.

A stinging pain spread throughout Ji Wanwan's body.

Kolov immediately reacted by pressing down on her arm; he wanted to break it!

Turning her head, she saw Sovach pressing the muzzle of his gun heavily against Ji Wanwan's forehead.

"If you want her dead, just say so, and I can grant your wish right now."

Upon hearing this, Kolov reluctantly released her arm, his eyes swirling with anger mixed with heartache.

Sophia shrugged and teased, "Brother, you're still so impulsive."

He then quickly pulled out the dagger from the bodyguard beside him and stabbed it hard into the man's thigh, even stirring it inside.

"Didn't you hear me say kneel down?" Her tone hardened, and the pressure in her hands continued to increase.

Kolov fell to his right knee with a thud, and Sofia smiled with satisfaction, the dagger still embedded in his thigh.

"You're such a good boy, brother."

“I told you before, once a person has a weakness, what can you use to compete with me?”

She yanked the dagger out, blood gushing from her thigh.

Kolov gritted his teeth, half-kneeling on the ground, facing Ji Wanwan.
