Chapter 1: Run, Dead Legs!

Chapter 1: Run, Dead Legs!

A gray-toned living room with a soft black bed.

"Hmm~"

A sharp pain came from behind, and a feeling of swelling swept through my whole body.

Ji Wanwan was blindfolded, her hands were tied behind her back with a tie, and her mouth was taped shut, so she could only make pitiful whimpering sounds.

She kept shaking her head, hot tears streaming down her cheeks, her heart filled with endless panic.

All I heard was a coaxing voice from beside me.

"Be good, don't move."

*

Night was about to fall, and the air was sticky and hot.

Damn it, run!

If you get caught, you'll be done for here!

Ji Wanwan silently chanted to herself as she ran forward, her legs never stopping. Ahead lay an endless forest.

But she dared not stop, for behind her lay an even more deadly demon.

Wearing a thin, loose nightgown, with her hair down, she walked barefoot on the sticky mud.

His skin was occasionally scratched by sharp branches, and blood flowed down his smooth calves.

As darkness fell, Ji Wanwan heard the roars of wild beasts.

She froze on the spot, a sense of unease creeping into her heart as she considered whether she would be eaten by a wild beast or by that devil, Kolov.

She frantically grabbed at her disheveled hair, her emotions becoming agitated.

Both are terrifying!

She doesn't want any of them!

The leaves rustled in the wind.

Ji Wanwan had excellent hearing; the sound was mixed with the sound of leather shoes stepping on dry fallen leaves.

It's Kolov!

Ji Wanwan quickly hid behind a large rock, clinging to it with both hands, peeking out with her small eyes to look around, her heart pounding wildly.

In the distance, Kolov was wearing a fitted black shirt with the sleeves rolled up, revealing the clearly bulging veins on his arms.

Looking further down, Ji Wanwan saw that he was carrying a large fuel tank.

He stood in the middle, his light blue eyes slightly narrowed. He saw Ji Wanwan's nightgown being blown open by the wind, and a faint smile appeared on his thin lips before he put down the gasoline.

When Ji Wanwan saw him, she quickly pulled her head back, gathered her clothes, and her expression gradually broke down.

I'm doomed. I feel like I'm going to be taken back. I feel like I want to die.

But I wonder if he's carrying a fuel tank to start a fire? This forest is so big, if he sets it on fire, it'll burn down the whole thing!

"Clang," the sound of a lighter.

Ji Wanwan bit her lower lip tightly, her body trembling with fear, and curled up tightly behind the rock.

Are you sure you're not really going to order that? You're crazy!!!

Just then, a deep and magnetic voice came from the other side, and it was directed at Ji Wanwan.

"Wanwan, do you want to play hide-and-seek with me? There will be a punishment if you get caught."

"If you come out on your own initiative, I'll assume you're just out for a walk."

Liar! He said the same thing when he ran away last time, but who knew he stayed in bed for three whole days without even seeing the sun.

Kolov held a lighter, lit a cigar, exhaled a thin layer of smoke, and stared intently at the back of the rock.

Ji Wanwan took a deep breath and tried to slowly move her body away, but she was stopped by his words as soon as she took a step.

"If you dare to leave, I'll burn this place down."

She shakily pulled her leg back, her face showing distress. Damn it, now she couldn't decide whether to leave or stay.

Should we really listen to him and obediently go back with him?

As darkness fell, Ji Wanwan slumped down and immediately smelled a strong odor of gasoline. She quickly peeked out and saw that Kolov had poured all the gasoline around them.

A madman! Absolutely a madman!

He lit the delicate lighter in his hand, and the flame remained burning in the wind.

"I'll count to three. If you don't come out, I'll lose you."

Ji Wanwan's heart was in her throat. She was afraid that he would really set the fire, but she didn't want to be caught by him again. She was torn between extremes.

"three"

"two"

"one"

Kolov's eyes turned sinister, his face as cold as ice, and he threw down the lighter without hesitation.

Flames rose slowly, emitting thick, pungent smoke.

Ji Wanwan suddenly stood up, her brows furrowed, and she tightly covered her nose. She glanced at Kolov in the flames, then turned and left.

He started the fire; it has nothing to do with her. Even if she dies here, she won't be held responsible.

Ji Wanwan took off running, putting in the same effort she used to do in the 800-meter run during her university physical fitness test, determined to succeed this time.

A shout rang out from behind: "Ji, Wan, Wan!"

Ji Wanwan turned around, her body trembling. She didn't notice the thick tree branch in front of her, and stumbled forward.

She fell flat on her face, her fair face covered in damp mud and bits of leaves, which she quickly wiped off.

You can't be this unlucky.

Ji Wanwan tried to stand up, but found that she had twisted her ankle. She clenched her hands tightly, and her fingertips turned white from the force.

Ugh, how can someone be so unlucky?

She forced herself to walk outside step by step. The cold night wind blew through her nightgown, making her shiver and hug herself tightly.

Kolov was closing in from behind.

Ji Wanwan heard his footsteps and quickened her pace, but when she turned around, she saw him standing behind her.

Startled, she took a few steps back, her back pressed against the branches of a large tree, leaving her with nowhere to retreat.

Ji Wanwan's voice trembled: "You, how could you?"

Kolov approached her step by step, and with each step, Ji Wanwan's heart pounded violently.

"Got you?"

"Baby, come here."

Kolov looked at her, his voice irresistible and carrying a strong sense of pressure.

"Please, let me go. I'm just a kid who got scammed right after graduation."

That's right, Ji Wanwan is just a recent graduate from a private second-tier university in China. She was thinking about finding a job to pay off her student loans and raise money for her grandmother's medical expenses, which is why she went to Boss Zhi to look for a job.

Because I was short of money, I found a high-paying job, only to find out that I was working as a male prostitute.

She should have listened to her roommate back then.

The boss is a liar; every job he does leads to becoming a gigolo!

Ji Wanwan clasped her hands together, lowered her head, and dared not look at him at all; her eyelashes trembled with fear.

If she can go back this time, she will definitely look for a job honestly and diligently, and will never again be greedy for high salaries.

Upon hearing this, Kolov's face darkened so much it seemed to drip ink, the air pressure around him dropped, and the atmosphere became heavy.

"You really understand me, you know how to make me angry." He said it with a smile, but it sent a chill down your spine.

Ji Wanwan slightly raised her head and saw Kolov gradually approaching her, so she quickly reached out to push him away.

He stammered, "I...I was wrong..."

Kolov easily grasped her hand, rubbing his fingertips against the back of her fair hand.

With his other hand, he stroked her dirty face and brushed aside her slightly damp bangs.

He parted his thin lips slightly: "What do you mean by doing something wrong?"

Kolov's warm breath brushed against her earlobe.

Ji Wanwan shuddered, immediately realizing that if she made a mistake, she should be kissed...

But she knew that Kolov was a germaphobe, and that her face was dirty, possibly with animal excrement mixed in.
