Chapter 35 Miss Ji ran away...
When Ji Wanwan peeked out, she saw two bodyguards lying dead at the doorway.
Looking up again, I saw Dmitri carrying a box, his eyes sharp and piercing.
"Carry it inside."
Ji Wanwan's voice trembled as she said, "Okay."
The two men worked together to shove the two bodyguards into the innermost stall of the bathroom, binding their hands and stuffing rags into their mouths.
Dmitri locked the door from the inside, meaning the two of them wouldn't be able to get out, at least not tonight.
Demeter calmly and steadily opened the box, inside which were syringes used to extract chips.
Give me your hand.
Ji Wanwan chose to believe him, even though she didn't know why he saved her.
Ji Wanwan stretched out her hand, and Dmitri pinched her arm, pinpointing the location where the chip was embedded.
This chip cannot be forcibly removed; it can only be extracted using a syringe.
Dmitri's technique was still a bit rusty, as he had only been learning it for a short time, but it was enough for him.
Within minutes, Dmitri removed the chip and put it in his pocket.
He then tossed Ji Wanwan a bag containing a set of men's clothing and a wig.
"Change into it, it'll be safer."
Then he took out a pill from his pocket and gave it to her: "This can temporarily change a person's voice, making them sound like a man. Use it only as a last resort."
"Okay, thank you."
Ji Wanwan picked up her clothes and quickly changed into them. She put on a wig and smeared some dust on her face to make herself look a little dirty.
After she left, Dmitri had already packed his things and gave her some instructions before leaving.
"Whatever you do, don't get caught and brought back."
Ji Wanwan called out to him and took out a note from her pocket: "Please give this to Katya for me, thank you."
"Also, even if I die, I will never be caught again."
Delitri took the note and turned to leave.
After putting on her hat, Ji Wanwan quickened her pace and left through the back door of the cinema.
At that moment, all she could think about was 'escape'.
After Ji Wanwan came out, she hurriedly hailed a taxi.
"Driver, international airport."
"Okay!"
Ji Wanwan sat in the back seat of the taxi, her expression tense, her arms pressed tightly against the cold car window, the scenery outside rushing past, blurring into a blur of light and shadow.
Her heart was still unsettled; she dared not even breathe loudly, her heart pounding faster as if afraid of being overtaken at any moment.
Ji Wanwan felt Kolov's domineering and possessive eyes staring intently at her, and she couldn't help but urge the driver, "Sir, please go faster."
"good."
The driver sped up, and soon they arrived at the airport. With half an hour left before boarding, Ji Wanwan went to the ticket counter to collect her ticket and sat down to wait anxiously.
Please don't get caught...please don't.
Ji Wanwan could only pray silently in her heart, her hands tightly gripping the hem of her clothes.
Suddenly, Ji Wanwan felt a churning in her stomach, and a wave of nausea washed over her. She quickly covered her mouth and staggered to the bathroom.
As soon as she got to the bathroom, she couldn't help but vomit. Her face, which was already pale from tension, now turned a sickly white.
Ji Wanwan vomited until only swill remained, her eyes red and filled with tears from the vomiting.
She touched her belly and laughed, "This morning sickness couldn't have come at the worst possible time. Don't you want me to leave him?"
"But I won't!"
The boarding announcement came from outside. Ji Wanwan leaned against the wall, stubbornly stood up, and beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.
She felt weak all over and slowly walked towards the boarding gate, glancing nervously behind her every now and then.
A dozen minutes later, Ji Wanwan successfully boarded the plane to the United States.
Ji Wanwan went to the United States first, and then flew back to China from the United States.
Kolov thought she would fly directly to China, but she wouldn't let him succeed!
The moment Ji Wanwan boarded the plane, she felt much more at ease, gazing at the sea of clouds outside.
Ji Wanwan smiled and muttered softly, "Finally, they're gone..."
Tears streamed down Ji Wanwan's cheeks. She wiped them away and pulled her hat brim down low. Her soft sobs still attracted the attention of the flight attendant.
"Sir, how can I help you?"
Ji Wanwan didn't speak, but shook her head.
The flight attendant stared at her: "Okay, you can call us anytime if you need anything."
After the flight attendant left, Ji Wanwan leaned against the window, looking at the flight path ahead. Kolov would know before landing, wouldn't he...?
At that point, Kolov will probably really want to kill her.
However, Ji Wanwan was already in the United States at that time. Even if they knew, as long as she hid in the United States for a few days, without a tracking chip, it would be very difficult to find her in the United States.
Ji Wanwan kept her eyes fixed on the route, her expression highly focused, hoping it would go faster and faster.
Meanwhile, Katya, seeing that Ji Wanwan hadn't returned yet, got up to look for her and happened to see Dmitry returning after packing his things.
"Where's Wanwan?"
Dmitri didn't intend to keep it from Katya, because even if she knew, she would still help Ji Wanwan leave.
He handed her the note from Ji Wanwan: "She asked me to give this to you."
Katya's upturned lips disappeared, and as if she had thought of something, she slowly took the note.
"Katya, I'm leaving. This place doesn't belong to me, and I don't want to live like this anymore. I hope you can help me delay a little longer."
Katya feigned nonchalance and said with a wry smile, "Since Wanwan is gone, then you can play with me a little longer!" She patted Dmitri on the shoulder.
Katya walked down the street looking dejected, muttering to herself, "That stinky Wanwan, she didn't even tell me before she left."
Then he turned back and pointed at Dmitri: "And you, you didn't tell me either."
Dmitri lowered his head and followed silently behind her.
The two spent the whole day walking around the mall and the streets.
They didn't plan to go straight back, because they feared their lives would be in danger if they did.
Dmitri and Katya eventually returned to the movie theater and left the chip in the bathroom.
Katya opened the bathroom door and saw the two people sobbing. She feigned surprise: "You, how did you get here? Where's Wanwan?"
Dmitry immediately stepped forward and untied the two men.
The two did not see Dmitri before they lost consciousness, so they did not know who was responsible.
The two bodyguards quickly untied themselves, their eyes revealing panic and fear.
"We followed Miss Ji, and then we were knocked unconscious. Where is Miss Ji?"
Dmitri picked up the chip from the table and handed it to the two of them: "This..."
The bodyguard picked up the chip and recognized it as belonging to Ji Wanwan.
With trembling hands, he picked up his phone and dialed Kolov's number.
Meanwhile, at the manor, Kolov was dressed in a suit and tie, looking very dignified, as he wanted to announce to everyone that Ji Wanwan was his woman.
Especially that old man, Viktor!
No one can touch her.
Kolov sat on the sofa, fiddling with the ring on his ring finger, while an empty wine glass sat on the table.
He has been waiting for a long time...
Kolov looked at the location on his phone; she was still in the movie theater. He never doubted her, because he trusted her.
The silence was abruptly broken by a phone call. Alexander quickly took his phone out of his pocket, and a trembling voice came from the other end.
"Miss Ji has run away..."
