Chapter 16 Ananda, the Thai

Chapter 16 Ananda, the Thai

The place she went to was a notorious, evil island that ordinary people would never set foot on.

The island is named Evil Island. On the north side of the island is a large casino, on the south side is a giant auction house, and in the center of the island is a prison underground.

Those imprisoned were all wicked or insane.

Ji Wanwan was unaware of all this, but Anna deliberately lured her in with the intention of ensuring she would never return.

Ji Wanwan sat for about three hours before she finally saw the island. From afar, it shimmered with golden light, and the island's prosperity was reflected in the sea.

When Ji Wanwan got closer, she was even more shocked by the scene before her. Every building on the island was made of natural stones stacked together, and the walls of the houses were inlaid with a large amount of gold and diamonds, like an art palace.

The most prominent are the casino in the north and the auction house in the south.

This is a notorious island, but also a dream island for those who indulge in drinking, gambling, and prostitution.

Ji Wanwan disembarked with a feeling of trepidation.

As soon as she got off the boat, she sensed something was wrong.

When he turned back, the Russians who had come with him were already far away.

Before them was a chaotic battle, one man fighting against a group of people.

The man was long-haired, with a few drops of blood on his handsome face. He was rather thin, but his body was incredibly flexible, allowing him to easily evade the attacker's attacks.

But Ji Wanwan couldn't worry about that. She pulled her hat brim down low, her immediate priority being to find a ship to return home.

Ji Wanwan thought she would let them off the hook; as long as they didn't cause trouble, nothing would happen.

Leave me alone, don't look at me.

Ji Wanwan silently repeated this in her heart, her heart pounding and her pace quickening.

But once someone has bad luck, they'll keep having bad luck. One of the men even stabbed Ji Wanwan straight in the back of the head with his dagger.

But Ji Wanwan did not react; she was unaware that death was drawing ever closer to her.

She could only feel countless eyes staring at her, and the panic made Ji Wanwan unconsciously tighten her grip on the straps of her backpack.

At the critical moment, a pair of hands pushed against her left shoulder, and Ji Wanwan staggered to the side and fell to the ground, her wrist scraping against the ground and slightly peeling.

Ignoring the pain, Ji Wanwan hurriedly stood up and saw the handsome man standing in front of her. She caught the dagger with her bare hands and stabbed it fiercely into the man's neck.

It pierced his carotid artery directly, and blood gushed out like a fountain. Ji Wanwan was so frightened that she took a step back, her legs trembling.

The others also backed away upon seeing this, frightened by the man in front of them.

The man licked the blood from the corner of his mouth, carefully wiped the blood-stained dagger in his hand with a handkerchief, and sneered, "A bunch of weaklings? You dare to be traitors?"

The men in front looked at each other in dismay, then immediately knelt down and begged for mercy, crying out, "We won't do it again, please forgive us this time, sir!"

"Yes, yes, we... we had no choice."

"Yes, yes, as long as you let us go, we'll tell you who told us to do this."

The man ignored him completely, wiped the dagger clean, and inserted it into the inside of his waistband.

He slowly walked to the side of the person whose major artery was bleeding, and with a smile, forcefully pulled the dagger out.

He said ominously, "We don't need traitors."

He immediately twirled the dagger in his hand, the sharp blade slicing towards their necks, and they fell to the ground without even making a sound.

After finishing, he disdainfully tossed the dagger onto their corpses: "Trash."

Ji Wanwan stood frozen in place, not daring to move, watching him walk towards her step by step.

No way, it can't be that bad.

I hope I'm not the next one to die!

Ji Wanwan swallowed hard, her heart pounding with panic. She wanted to leave, but she was also terrified of being killed by him...

Before the man even got close to Ji Wanwan, she suddenly knelt down on the ground.

He pleaded, "I'm not a traitor, I'm not a traitor, I was just passing by, please don't kill me!"

The man paused for a moment, then bent down to remove her hat and laughed loudly, "I'm not a bloodthirsty person, what are you afraid of?"

He was speaking in English, but Ji Wanwan could tell.

Ji Wanwan raised her head and met his gaze; his expression was completely different from before.

"Are you Chinese?" he asked in a raised voice, his face beaming with delight, speaking in broken Chinese.

Ji Wanwan nodded, unable to discern where he came from.

“I am Ananda, a Thai.” He extended his hand, a smile on his face, unlike the eerie expression he had given earlier.

A Thai person? This was the first time Ji Wanwan had ever met one.

Ji Wanwan felt embarrassed, stood up shakily, and extended her hand: "I am..."

Ji Wanwan was silent for a moment, then, remembering that she couldn't reveal her name casually, she said, "You can just call me Awan."

“Ah Wan?” Ananda repeated, “Not bad.”

Ji Wanwan forced a smile; communicating with someone who kills without blinking an eye could really kill her.

We finally got away from Kolov, and now another one is coming...

"How did you end up here?"

Ji Wanwan lied: "I wanted to go back to China, but somehow I ended up here."

Ananda: "Back to China?"

"Hmm, do you know how to get back?"

Ananda returned her hat to her: "The ship back to China only goes once every two weeks. Unfortunately, one has just left."

Ji Wanwan's eyes widened suddenly as she accurately identified the key words.

Just left? Half a month ago!

"I feel like dying," Ji Wanwan laughed angrily. "So, I've come at the worst possible time, haven't I?!"

So incredibly unlucky...

"Is there any other way?" Ji Wanwan asked.

Half a month later, Kolov had already found her, and it was too late.

He thought for a moment: "Yes, my young master's private jet can leave the island, but..."

Ji Wanwan: "But what?"

"That's difficult, I need to ask."

Ji Wanwan's renewed hope was extinguished again, so how long would she have to stay here before she could go home?

Adan looked at the light emanating from the necklace around Ji Wanwan's neck, which seemed somewhat familiar, and asked, "Can I take a look at this necklace?"

Ji Wanwan lowered her head and took out the necklace: "I can't take this off. Do you know how to remove it?"

Adanan stared at the necklace, his brow furrowed, the brilliance emanating from the diamonds…

He was certain that this was something only the Romanov family possessed, and that the necklace could not be removed by mere force.

"The material of this necklace can only be melted with fluoroantimonic acid."

Ji Wanwan grabbed his arm, her face full of grievance: "Then can you help me?"

"Only my young master has this kind of necklace, how could you..."

Ji Wanwan had a guess in her mind, her hands tightly gripping the hem of her clothes. Could her young master be that bastard Kolov?

She maintained her composure and lied without batting an eye, saying, "I found this by accident, and I don't know where it came from."

Ananda: "Really?"

Ji Wanwan nodded, not daring to look at him.

"Then I'll untie it for you, and you have to give me the necklace."

"good."

In order to get the answer to her suspicions, Ji Wanwan asked hesitantly.

Who is your young master?
