Mo Qingcheng leaped into the air, her toes landing on the scorpion's head. She swung her soft sword, aiming straight for the scorpion king's brain.
The desert scorpion, unable to dodge in time, was stabbed by a sword. It shook violently, trying to throw Mo Qingcheng off. Its tail regenerated and stabbed straight at Mo Qingcheng's back.
"Mother, be careful!" Shangguan Yichen's heart jumped into his throat. The Scorpion King was huge, about the size of an adult tiger.
Mo Qingcheng chuckled wickedly: "Boss, take care of yourself!"
Dozens of silver needles were embedded in the longsword, aimed straight at the scorpion's vitals. Mo Qingcheng stirred the longsword, extracted a crystal core, and retreated with a smile.
"Boom!" The seven-colored scorpion of the desert died with its eyes wide open.
Mo Qingcheng casually tossed a bottle of venom, and the Scorpion King instantly turned into a pool of black water...
The other scorpion swarms are leaderless and rely on the scorpion king for survival. With the scorpion king gone, the scorpion swarms are utterly powerless.
Two figures, one in black and one in white, swept through the swarm of scorpions. A quarter of an hour later, the sand beneath their feet turned black.
Mo Qingcheng frowned: "Let's go, leave quickly."
The desert is ever-changing; who knows what else might be in it?
Hei Yi was exhausted and clung to Bai Yi's clothes, refusing to let go.
"Here you go!" Mo Qingcheng tossed several bottles of energy-replenishing liquid to Hei Yi, Bai Yi, and Shangguan Yichen.
Hei Yi was so moved that he cried tears of joy, gulped down the medicine, and felt as if he had come back to life.
After resting for a while, the group flew away into the distance. No one noticed that a masked man in black slowly emerged from the ground, a strange glint in his eyes, before vanishing in the blink of an eye…
Mo Qingcheng seemed to sense something, glanced back, shook her head, and thought that she might be overthinking things.
"Mother, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Mu Yunchuan's concerned voice came from the interstellar farm.
Mo Qingcheng was slightly taken aback. "It's alright, Mother will let you out later."
Mu Yunchuan nodded: "Mother, don't worry, I'm doing well here. I have a big brother to keep me company..."
"..." Mo Qingcheng's eyelids twitched. "Little Junjun, don't corrupt the children."
"Little witch, you're overthinking it. I'm too busy taking care of my precious darling..." Farmer glared at Mo Qingcheng with disdain and automatically severed his mental connection with her.
Mo Qingcheng didn't bother to argue, and told him to take good care of Mu Yunchuan before continuing to lead the group forward.
We took a break along the way to replenish our energy, and as the moon rose above the willow branches, we finally arrived at Guigu Valley.
The group was exhausted. Mo Qingcheng looked at her boss with concern and waved her hand.
Shangguan Yichen shook his head: "Mother, I'm fine."
"Alright, let's find a place to rest for the night and continue looking for him tomorrow morning." Mo Qingcheng's face darkened. She refused to believe that they couldn't find Mu Shenyi.
Soon, they found a dry cave. Anyone who didn't know better would think that someone had specially arranged it for them. Not only were there pots and pans, but after walking a dozen meters inside, there was a pool with running water, the source of which was unknown.
After everyone washed up, Mo Qingcheng had a sudden inspiration. Hei Yi went to collect firewood, Bai went into the water to catch fish, and Mo Qingcheng took out the barbecue grill and a few bottles of seasoning.
Shangguan Yichen frowned: "Mother, this is very dangerous."
"Don't worry, if anyone has a loose tongue and tells others, Mother has ways to make them wish they were dead..." Mo Qingcheng smiled and told the little boy to fetch water to help with the washing.
Shangguan Yichen ordered Mo Qingcheng to fetch water, instructing her, "Mother, nothing else is allowed."
"Okay, I got it. My eldest son is so sweet..."
Shangguan Yichen: "..."
What do you know?
Half an hour later, an enticing aroma wafted through the cave, and on the grill, fish sizzled and steamed, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
On another grill were two roasted chickens, a piece of roasted lamb, and next to it was a pot of wild vegetable and mushroom soup...
"Madam, can we eat now?" Hei Yi's mouth watered.
"Let's eat!" Mo Qingcheng smiled and tore off a roasted chicken leg, handing it to Shangguan Yichen.
"Thank you, Mother..." The little boy smiled broadly, but before he could finish speaking, the chicken leg in his hand vanished.
"Haha, it smells so good!"
