Baili Mingyue's face darkened instantly. She gritted her teeth and glared in the direction from which Baili Fengyun's voice had come. She hadn't realized this guy had the potential to betray her...
Mo Qingcheng raised an eyebrow, her eyes conveying an ambiguous meaning: "Be careful your master hears this, or he'll make things difficult for you..."
"Tch, he wouldn't dare? I have dirt on my master..." Baili Fengyun had an arrogant expression that said, "You don't know, only I know."
Mo Qingcheng chuckled: "Why don't you hide for a bit?"
Why hide? Baili Fengyun followed closely by Mo Qingcheng's side. When will Lady Mo teach him a trick?
Mo Qingcheng chuckled to herself; the number one sly and shameless person was none other than him…
After witnessing Mo Qingcheng's formidable mastery of formations, Baili Fengyun hurriedly blocked her path: "Lady Mo, does your household need guards?"
“Missing…” Mo Qingcheng glanced at Baili Fengyun with a half-smile.
"That's great, I'll speak to Master in a bit..."
"say what?"
Baili Fengyun's words caught in his throat, and he almost choked to death.
Baili Mingyue's cold eyes swept over, and the pressure emanating from him intensified, the meaning of which was self-evident.
Mo Qingcheng crossed her arms and watched. "Go ahead and fight," she thought. "Let me see their antics and it'll help relieve the boredom on the way here."
Baili Fengyun remained expressionless, reverting to his aloof and taciturn demeanor, as if what had happened before was merely a mirage, an illusion.
Mo Qingcheng wanted to give it a thumbs up, "Brilliant!"
The three continued on their way. Baili Mingyue exuded an aura that kept strangers at bay. His first bodyguard was about to betray him after just one trip. Who would be in a good mood?
Mo Qingcheng remained nonchalant, humming a cheeky tune, and the three's fragile friendship crumbled in an instant...
As evening fell, they arrived at the border of Miao territory. The three of them immediately became alert. Mo Qingcheng suggested that they try to change into Miao clothing, otherwise they wouldn't even know how they died.
Baili Mingyue waved his hand, ordering his incompetent guards to fetch a few sets of clothes.
Baili Fengyun glanced at his master with a look of utter despair, his eyes flashing slightly before he vanished in the blink of an eye.
Mo Qingcheng was exhausted and hungry. There were plenty of snacks in the farm space, but Yi Ge didn't dare to take them out, so she had to give up and dismount to rest.
Baili Mingyue opened her mouth, but hesitated. Seeing that Mo Qingcheng had closed her eyes to rest, she awkwardly touched her nose, dismounted, and sat not far from Mo Qingcheng.
After an unknown amount of time, Mo Qingcheng opened her eyes listlessly, casually plucked a few blades of grass, and fiddled with them between her fingertips.
A dark figure flashed by. Baili Fengyun lived up to expectations, carrying a bundle in his arms, which he casually tossed on the ground, the meaning of which was self-evident.
Mo Qingcheng's lips twitched violently. She untied the bundle, glanced at it, and burst out laughing instantly. She picked up the clothes, held them up for a moment, and walked behind a tree to put them on.
Looking up, Baili Mingyue was on the verge of losing control. No wonder, his brooding bodyguard, dressed in men's clothing, was standing not far away, expressionless.
There was only one large-sized women's outfit in the bundle, which seemed to have been tailor-made for Baili Mingyue.
"Hey, a cross-dressing master? Hurry up and make your move..." Mo Qingcheng watched the spectacle with a gloating expression, banging on the gong.
"Go find another one." Baili Mingyue's face was as cold as ice, and she gave him a death stare.
Baili Fengyun turned his back to him, squatted on the ground and drew circles, saying, "I'm not going, I'm not going, I'm not going."
The atmosphere was a little awkward. Mo Qingcheng coughed lightly, "Here, let me help you get dressed... It's getting late, don't delay our business..."
Baili Mingyue's handsome face instantly darkened: "You're here to watch the show, huh?"
"That's right... going against the grain makes it less likely to arouse suspicion. Hurry up, are you still going or not? If not, I'm going back..."
Mo Qingcheng rolled her eyes: "What's with the fuss?"
Baili Mingyue was utterly bewildered by the wind and almost collapsed to her knees...
