ball rehearsal

ball rehearsal

When Qi Xu returned, everyone waited for her at her doorstep as usual.

Having just returned, she hasn't yet adjusted to the early morning routine of her senior year of high school.

Han Xue got up very early and went to knock on Qi Xu's door first, afraid that she would be late.

Qi Xu remained silent in the room, still fast asleep.

Han Xue had finished washing up, but she was still half asleep. She knocked on the door again, her voice louder: "Qi Xu, get up!"

Qi Xu was startled awake from his sleep, sat up abruptly, and rubbed his sleepy eyes.

She put on her school uniform, which she hadn't worn in a long time, and also tied her hair up in a high ponytail, which she hadn't done in ages.

Upon opening the door, one could see Han Xue lying on the sofa, taking a short rest.

Han Xue glanced at her, closed her eyes to rest briefly, and reminded her, "Hurry up."

Qi Xu walked to the sink and started brushing his teeth, but he dozed off while brushing.

My head was drooping lower and lower when I suddenly snapped awake and brushed my teeth and washed my face as quickly as possible.

The cold water made her much more awake.

As soon as the two opened the door, a chilly wind rushed in, and Qi Xu couldn't help but shiver.

The sky was still dark, with snowflakes falling.

"Is everyone in their final year of high school this stressed? It's not even dawn yet," said Qi Xu.

"Yes, let's hurry up, they're still waiting," Han Xue replied.

Just as Han Xue was about to lead Qi Xu towards the intersection ahead, her friends turned on their flashlights.

With the light, the two could see their own faces clearly.

"Wow, you're here pretty early," Han Xue joked.

“Well, Qi Xu is back now. As her good friends, of course we can’t keep her waiting.” Tingyue walked to Qi Xu’s side and naturally took her arm.

Qi Xu looked at her with a gentle yet dignified smile, like a kind older sister next door.

"Let's hurry up, we're going to be late," Xu Sheng urged.

Tingyue released Qixu's arm and walked straight ahead.

Hao Nan naturally walked over to Qi Xu's side. As the group walked on the snow, he wanted to talk to Qi Xu several times.

He had so much to say to her before she came back, but why did he have nothing to say to her now that she was back?

We didn't know what to say along the way, so we just remained silent.

As they walked, Qi Xu started to feel sleepy again, feeling like he might collapse at any moment.

She grabbed the sleeve of the person next to her to keep herself from being in danger.

Hao Nan felt his sleeve being tugged, and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly. He knew it was Qi Xu, and he slowed his pace considerably.

Maintaining this posture, Hao Nan led Qi Xu to the classroom door of Class 8, Grade 12.

At this moment, Qi Xu was still in a daze, half asleep and half awake.

He stopped and led her to her class, Senior 3 Class 5.

All eyes were on Hao Nan and Qi Xu along the way.

Not only because Hao Nan is the school heartthrob, but also because no one has ever seen him like this before.

Since Qi Xu returned, he has transformed from a cool and aloof school heartthrob into a campus god full of youthful charm.

But still no one dared to approach him, because the whole school knew that he had someone he liked, namely Qi Xu, who was standing next to him.

Everyone knows what achievements Xu Qi has made.

Just like Hao Nan said, no one can compare, and there's simply no way to compare.

He knew the classroom of Class 5 in the third year of high school like the back of his hand, so he naturally knew where there were empty seats.

He had Qi Xu sit in the last row by the window so he could see if she was there at any time.

His eyes remained gentle as he gently pulled out his sleeve.

The moment the sleeve was pulled out, Qi Xu regained consciousness and met Hao Nan's gaze.

“You’re in Class 5, we’re in Class 8. You can come find me if you need anything.” He added, “I’ll be there whenever you need me.”

Qi Xu's eyes held a few scattered lights, puzzled as to why he persisted, even though she had already rejected him.

The spark of a strange feeling that had just begun to ignite in my heart was instantly extinguished by reason.

She looked away from Hao Nan, reverting to her usual indifference, and simply gave a faint "hmm".

The light in Hao Nan's eyes was extinguished by her "hmm," and he glanced at her before saying, "I'm leaving."

He lingered for a while, hoping to get a response from her, but there was none, before leaving the classroom.

Once outside the classroom, he didn't forget to look back at Qi Xu, who was resting against the wall with her eyes closed.

After he left, Qi Xu opened his eyes, looked outside the classroom, and sighed softly.

She got up and went to Hancheng's office, where she moved the storage box and books to the classroom.

In class, the teacher spoke very seriously. A few students were so tired that they dozed off, but most students listened attentively.

Class time is incredibly boring for Qi Xu right now; her mind is full of drawing. Rather than wasting time on this, she'd rather spend it on something meaningful.

She picked up a pen and began drawing all sorts of people and animals in the book.

The senior year of high school is very demanding, and teachers don't have time to pay attention to all the students, so they rarely walk around the classroom.

In her own time management, time flies.

Recently, the students' condition has been getting worse and worse.

The afternoon was left for the students to have free time and prepare for the party. Everyone was out of sorts, and the teacher, seeing how listless the students were, had no desire to continue teaching. It would be torturous for both the students and the teacher, and even if there was a class, it would be a waste of time. It was better to let everyone relax and not be too stressed.

As soon as the bell rang, everyone went to Class 5 to find Qi Xu to prepare for the performance.

Wan Xiaoyi shouted loudly to Qi Xu, who was drawing in the classroom: "Qi Xu, we need to prepare for the program rehearsal."

Qi Xu put down what he was doing and went outside to meet up with everyone: "Where are we going to rehearse?"

“We are still short one person,” Han Xue said, counting the number of people.

“Of course I’m the best match for Wan Xiaoyi,” Xu Sheng said, quickly choosing his partner.

"Can you please shut up!" Wan Xiaoyi said, somewhat annoyed.

"Xu Sheng, you're a bit too much of a jerk," Ting Xubai said, looking at him with a smile.

“Alright, then I’ll team up with Han Xue.” Xu Sheng silently walked behind Han Xue.

Han Xue quickly took a few steps back to create distance between herself and him.

Ting Xubai looked at Xu Sheng with a provocative expression.

Xu Sheng sneered, turned his gaze to Qi Xu, and leaned closer to say, "Qi Xu, why don't you team up with me?"

Upon hearing this, Hao Nan was anxious and wanted to do something, but dared not, fearing that she would accuse him of meddling too much, so he could only keep a close eye on Qi Xu.

"I'm fine with anything," Qi Xu replied earnestly.

Hao Nan instantly lost his composure and even felt an urge to hit Xu Sheng.

Xu Sheng had only asked casually, but he didn't expect her to actually agree. He felt a chill run down his spine and couldn't help but shiver.

"Don't make things worse. It's not enough to have offended one person, you have to offend two more." Tingyue broke the strange atmosphere.

"Can't you be quiet for a second? You can't stand a day without making someone angry, can you?" Wan Xiaoyi was clearly angry.

Xu Sheng was speechless after being scolded, assuming that Wan Xiaoyi was just jealous, and silently retreated behind her.

Then, Wan Xiaoyi looked around and began to assign partners: "Hao Nanqi, Xu Tingxu, Bai Hanxue, uh..."

Xu Sheng's eyes sparkled with anticipation as he and Wan Xiaoyi were paired together.

“Let’s listen to the moon, Xu Sheng,” Wan Xiaoyi said.

"What!" Xu Sheng looked at Wan Xiaoyi in disbelief. She just pushed him to someone else like that?

"What, you're not satisfied? You're not happy with my arrangements?" Wan Xiaoyi asked.

"Yes, I'm not satisfied!" He made no attempt to hide his dissatisfaction.

Tingyue was also unwilling to be in a group with him because she wanted to find an opportunity to play the victim and get Jiang Hui to rehearse with her.

“I’m going to teach you how to dance well. Do you think you have more experience than me, a dance student?” Wan Xiaoyi pressed on relentlessly.

Xu Sheng was cornered by her, his eyes darting around, his body stiff against the wall, and finally he managed to squeeze out, "I guess I'll have to accept it."

Wan Xiaoyi suddenly smiled, took a few steps back, and let go of him.

His heart was pounding; he hadn't quite come to his senses yet.

They found an open space and began rehearsing.

They went to the computer lab, played a video of a duet dance called "The Waltz of Love," and quickly familiarized themselves with it.

They found an open space and began rehearsing.

Wan Xiaoyi started teaching everyone how to dance, but after a few lessons, she found that everyone was still a bit confused.

She then found a female student who was also a dance student to perform the male dance part, and the two worked together perfectly.

I've been dancing for over an hour and I've almost memorized all the moves. I just need a little more practice after that.

When Hao Nan and Qi Xu were rehearsing together, he didn't dare to look at her at all; his eyes kept wandering, and his heart was pounding.

Qi Xu didn't react in any particular way, calmly facing everything in front of him as usual.

One is turbulent undercurrents, the other is calm as still water.

During practice, Jiang Hui happened to pass by and saw Tingyue dancing with a boy, and they were dancing "The Waltz of Love"!

He glanced at Tingyue expressionlessly, then turned his gaze to the boy beside her, his eyes dark and brooding, before leaving.

Tingyue panicked instantly, her mind no longer on dancing, she kept making mistakes in her movements, her eyes kept staring in the direction Jiang Hui had left, and then turning to where he had stood.

She accidentally stepped on Xu Sheng's foot and quickly apologized.

During the subsequent practice, her eyes were constantly fixed on Jiang Hui on the other side.

Xu Sheng noticed too, and asked her in a low voice, "You've got your eye on her?"

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Tingyue retorted.

“Your eyes are practically glued to their bodies, and you're still lying?” Xu Sheng said.

Tingyue's gaze remained fixed on that figure, and she said nothing more.

“What if I could get him to join us and team up with you?” Xu Sheng said.

"What method?" Tingyue became interested.

Wan Xiaoyi noticed the commotion and came over: "What are you talking about?"

"It's nothing," Tingyue replied quickly.

Wan Xiaoyi looked at the two of them and had no choice but to believe them.

During their break, Tingyue and Xu Sheng stayed together, chatting enthusiastically, keeping their distance from the others as if they were afraid of being disturbed.

Wan Xiaoyi witnessed this scene and sat down dejectedly next to everyone.

Qi Xu leaned closer to her: "Xiao Yi? Are you angry? Then why don't you snatch him away and have him perform with you?"

Wan Xiaoyi had this idea, but she was also very worried: "What about Tingyue?"

Ting Xubai's gaze locked onto Jiang Hui, who was standing to the side, and he gestured for everyone to look over there: "What do you think of him?"

Hao Nan noticed that Tingyue's gaze kept drifting towards Jiang Hui during training.

"You can give it a try, no problem," Hao Nan said.

Before anyone could answer, Hao Nan walked over to Jiang Hui and said something. Jiang Hui then followed Hao Nan over.
