Misunderstanding
The group pulled Tingyue to sit down on a chair, trying to calm her down.
As darkness fell and the sun completely set, the surrounding people gradually dispersed, leaving only their group of friends.
"Tingyue, you're all adults now, don't hold grudges all the time," Qi Xu comforted her softly.
"What do you mean I'm angry? I only said one sentence, and he retorted with ten!" Tingyue's anger had not subsided.
"Hey, could there be some misunderstanding between you two?" Wan Xiaoyi reminded her.
“Yes, he rarely loses his temper. Think about it again, is there a misunderstanding?” Han Xue chimed in.
After thinking about it carefully for a while, Tingyue realized that she hadn't done anything to wrong Jiang Hui, so she said, "No, I didn't do anything at all. It must be his own problem."
The others exchanged glances, at a loss for what to do.
On the other hand, the boys' communication went much more smoothly.
Jiang Hui was still angry, but he also knew that staying in a stalemate was not a solution and the problem had to be solved.
"If you have something to say, just say it, and we'll help you come up with ideas," Hao Nanxian broke the silence.
"If you're too embarrassed to say it, I'll pass on the message for you!" Xu Sheng volunteered.
"Honestly, I really don't understand what you're angry about. My sister's words really aren't something to be angry about." Ting Xubai looked puzzled.
"She's always flirting with other girls at school! I said a few words to her, but she not only didn't change, she even talked back to me!" Jiang Hui got angrier and angrier as he spoke.
The boys instantly understood that she was jealous, and they all pursed their lips and smiled secretly.
"You know her personality, she just likes to play around." Ting Xubai tried to explain for Tingyue, hoping to calm Jiang Hui down.
“Even if you like to have fun, you have to have boundaries! Do you know how many boys were surrounding her when I went to her school to find her?” Jiang Hui said, taking out his phone and showing a photo.
In the photo, Tingyue is walking side by side with a boy, but only their backs are visible.
Hao Nan sat quietly listening, then asked, "How can you be so sure this is true?"
These words stunned Jiang Hui, who remained speechless for a long time.
Yes, what can a back view prove? He suddenly realized.
"Look at you, you've been blinded by anger," Hao Nan said with a slight smile.
"You've been set up. Maybe someone deliberately sent you the photos to cause a conflict between you two so they can take the opportunity to pursue Tingyue," Ting Xubai explained helplessly.
Jiang Hui then regretted his impulsive actions, but he didn't know how to handle the situation.
"Hey, this is easy, I guarantee I'll take care of it for you!" Xu Sheng looked confident and walked straight out before Jiang Hui could react.
"Xiao Yi." Xu Sheng called out to the group of girls from a short distance away.
The girls looked up at him and knew he must have come because of Jiang Hui, and was probably up to some trick again.
"What?" Wan Xiaoyi didn't move, standing still as she asked him.
"Come here, I have something to discuss with you."
"Can't you come over if something's wrong?"
"This is our little secret, we can't let anyone else hear it."
Wan Xiaoyi rolled her eyes, but still walked towards him.
Before leaving, Tingyue whispered to her, "I won't forgive him easily."
Wan Xiaoyi gave the other three an OK sign, smiled slightly, and then walked up to Xu Sheng, asking, "What little secret?"
"Is she still angry?" Xu Shengxian asked.
"Isn't that obvious? Who can stand being constantly criticized by him?"
"Actually, they were set up; someone wanted them to break up."
"We can't let others succeed!" Wan Xiaoyi was both shocked and angry.
"So, please help me out, okay?" Xu Sheng's tone carried a hint of coquetry.
Wan Xiaoyi looked at her with disdain: "Forget it, I'm not helping you. A real man can bend and stretch. He caused this mess, why don't you solve it yourself?"
"You start a fire, you put it out yourself." With that, she turned and walked away without looking back.
The two returned to their respective groups to report the situation. Xu Sheng waved his hand, clearly indicating that the negotiations had failed.
Wan Xiaoyi sat back down and said to Tingyue, "Tingyue, you two have been set up."
"Huh? I haven't offended anyone." Tingyue looked puzzled.
"Think again, has any boy had a crush on you, confessed to you, and been rejected by you?" Han Xue reminded her.
"If there really is a guy like that, he's disgusting. You should stay away from him in the future." Qi Xu's face turned ugly as she spoke up for the two of them.
"It seems there was a guy who kept bothering me before." Tingyue was quite calm at first, but suddenly stood up and said angrily, "No wonder he suddenly became so amiable these past few days, so that's what he was up to!"
As she spoke, she was about to rush back to the school to settle the score with that person.
Qi Xu quickly pulled her back: "Don't rush, calm down first."
"The most important thing now is to resolve your conflict. You can't let a third party ruin your relationship," Wan Xiaoyi also advised.
"Xiao Yi is right, the problem needs to be solved, we can't let it remain stagnant," Han Xue said, echoing her sentiment.
Tingyue pouted: "I will never forgive him."
"Don't be so sure of yourself. Maybe you'll soften your heart once he apologizes?" Qi Xu teased, barely suppressing a laugh.
"Impossible! My stance is firm!" Tingyue refused outright.
"I don't think it's a big deal, just a normal argument between couples," Han Xue joked.
"Hey, how can this be called a normal argument? His illogical retorts are an insult to my character!" Tingyue said bluntly.
Wan Xiaoyi sighed and rubbed her forehead. Tingyue was too impulsive and spoke without thinking, easily hurting people. Fortunately, Jiang Hui had a good temper and could handle her.
While they were still trying to calm Tingyue down, Jiang Hui came over, ready to apologize: "I'm sorry, I was too impulsive just now."
The others reacted quickly, pulling their companions away to give the two of them some alone time. Hao Nan called out "Qi Xu" again, rousing her from her daze.
Tingyue ignored Jiang Hui, sitting in her chair without looking at him, silently taking out her phone and scrolling through it, completely treating him like he was invisible.
Jiang Hui sat down next to her and said softly, "I'm sorry, I was too impulsive and shouldn't have distrusted you."
Tingyue still didn't react and continued scrolling through videos.
"Tingyue, Yue'er, please forgive me? I'm just afraid of losing you, afraid that you'll think I'm useless and leave with someone else, wanting to find a new boyfriend."
Upon hearing the address "Moon," Tingyue's heart stirred slightly, and her fingers paused for a moment, but she quickly continued scrolling through her phone.
Jiang Hui had been watching her expression closely. He noticed that brief pause just now and knew that she had softened her stance.
He leaned close to Tingyue's ear and whispered, "Yue'er."
Tingyue's body stiffened, and Jiang Hui took the opportunity to pull her into his arms.
"Why are you so shy?" Jiang Hui's voice was tinged with laughter.
Tingyue's cheeks instantly burned. She snapped out of her daze and tried to break free, her voice tinged with anger: "Let go of me! I haven't forgiven you yet!"
The more she struggled, the tighter Jiang Hui held her, and she couldn't break free at all.
Tingyue turned her head to scold him, but her lips were suddenly blocked by something soft—Jiang Hui kissed her.
Tingyue's eyes widened instantly.
Jiang Hui straightened her body and made her straddle his lap. She tried to push him away, but he held her firmly and she couldn't move.
Jiang Hui only released Tingyue when her breathing became rapid. A trace of saliva still clung to their lips as Jiang Hui looked at her teasingly, "Please forgive me?"
His voice was magnetic, making Tingyue's heart flutter. Finally, she shyly nestled into his arms.
Jiang Hui hugged her even tighter: "You didn't say anything, but you took the initiative to throw yourself into my arms, so I'll take that as you forgiving me."
Tingyue opened her mouth and bit his shoulder hard to vent her emotions and dissatisfaction, and then gave a proud hum.
This gesture made Jiang Hui even happier and he liked her even more. He playfully teased, "Your kissing skills are really not that great, how about I teach you?"
Tingyue blushed and glared at him resentfully.
“It’s no use glaring at me. If no one teaches you, I will teach you.” Jiang Hui smiled and moved closer to her.
Tingyue quickly covered her mouth with her hand, unwilling to even speak to him, as she hadn't fully forgiven him yet.
"Tingyue, why aren't you saying anything?" Jiang Hui reached out and pinched her cheek again.
Tingyue remained silent, only staring at him.
"Don't you like me anymore?" Jiang Hui asked, his voice tinged with grievance.
Tingyue avoided his affectionate gaze and nodded haughtily.
“Then I will…” Jiang Hui made a move to put her down and prepare to leave.
Upon seeing this, Tingyue immediately panicked: "You dare! If you dare to leave, I will..."
Before he could finish speaking, Jiang Hui suddenly turned his head and kissed her lips again.
This time, Tingyue did not resist. She slowly closed her eyes and enjoyed the beauty of the moment.
After a while, Jiang Hui finally let go of her. Seeing her breathing heavily, he wanted to tease her again.
Knowing what he was going to say, Tingyue leaned in and silenced him with a kiss.
This time, Jiang Hui didn't push his luck. He looked at her with a smile, knowing that she needed to breathe.
Finally, Tingyue released him, panting, and said, "You're not allowed to leave, and you're not allowed to say what you just said."
Jiang Hui was overjoyed, unable to hide the smile on his face. He gave her another light kiss on the lips and held her tightly in his arms: "I won't leave, I'll never leave."
Tingyue, nestled in Jiang Hui's arms, smiled gently, both of them radiating happiness.
In the corner, a few people were secretly watching, their faces beaming with maternal smiles, and they were cracking sunflower seeds in their hands.
"I told you, if he coaxes her, Tingyue will always soften. But when Tingyue gets angry, he acts like he's lost a treasure," Qi Xu said while cracking sunflower seeds.
"By the way, Qi Xu, when are you going to find a boyfriend? That way, when we go out together, you'll have someone to keep you company," Wan Xiaoyi suddenly asked.
Hao Nan, who was next to her, immediately perked up his ears and looked at Qi Xu, waiting for her answer.
The others, hearing the commotion, also looked at the person involved, Qi Xu, with curiosity.
"What's the rush? If you meet someone, talk to them; if you don't, just live your life. Why take this so seriously?" Qi Xu replied calmly.
Hao Nan chuckled self-deprecatingly, the sunflower seeds in his hand suddenly lost their appeal, and he put all the remaining sunflower seeds into the bag.
Seeing this, no one said anything more, and the atmosphere became noticeably awkward.
"Hey, hey, isn't Hao Nan single too? With him by my side, Qi Xu won't be lonely." Xu Sheng started a conversation, easing the atmosphere.
"I think this is actually quite good." Ting Xubai joined in, trying to ease the tension.
Hao Nan was increasingly reluctant to stay there, so he got up and headed towards the easel, saying, "I'll go tidy up."
After Hao Nan left, everyone took a deep look at Qi Xu and sighed softly.
