Chapter 32: Stewed Lamb, Pan-fried Lamb Water, Boiled Lamb Tail – High-end ingredients only…

Chapter 32: Stewed Lamb, Pan-fried Lamb Water, Boiled Lamb Tail – High-end ingredients only…

With the new recipe and new ingredients, Shu Xin finally got to eat the new dishes that Mei Meilin had enthusiastically prepared on the evening of the second day.

As He Xi and I entered the restaurant in the afterglow of the sunset, steaming bowls and plates were finally set on the table.

Shu Xin practically ran all the way to the fragrant dining table.

The wooden bowl is filled with clear, oily broth, with large chunks of tender white mutton piled up inside, emitting a rich and savory aroma. The bright green leaves garnishing the broth and the meat add a touch of vibrancy to this stewed mutton.

The other wooden bowl contained a thick, white soup of round slices. Unlike before, the tightly packed round slices of mutton were piled with a thick layer of mutton slices. The rings of deep red mutton slices looked like blooming petals, which looked delicious and tempting.

Next to the two full wooden bowls were two wooden plates, on which sat pan-fried lamb chops and boiled lamb tail, each lined with leaves from the Tree of Life. They were all neatly cut, and you could clearly see the cross-section of the crispy-skinned, tender lamb chops oozing juice, while the soft, succulent lamb tails swayed and trembled, bones and all.

Whether it was because the snow sheep meat was extremely tender and delicious, or because the recipe given by the Tree of Life was exceptionally excellent and tasty, or because the magical little chef Meimeilin's skills were becoming increasingly outstanding and refined, after Shuxin picked up the wooden bowl and drank the first sip of mutton soup, she was practically moved to tears, feeling as if her whole body was radiating holy light!

It has absolutely no fishy or gamey smell, and it's incredibly delicious!

The stewed mutton chunks almost melt in your mouth, delicate and smooth, sliding down your throat before you even have a chance to chew; the mutton slices on the round noodle soup are rich and fragrant, paired with smooth and chewy round noodles, a hearty bite that is very satisfying; the pan-fried lamb chops are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with juices flowing everywhere, and the boiled lamb tail is tender and fatty, moist but not greasy!

Shu Xin lowered her head and didn't look up again. After she had chewed and swallowed all the crispy, salty and fragrant lamb bones, she reached for the next plate but found it empty. When she looked up, she realized that she had already eaten all the food in the bowl and plate.

What a truly satisfying and delicious meal!

A line from a food documentary she had once watched involuntarily echoed in Shu Xin's mind: "High-end ingredients often only require the simplest cooking methods." Thinking of the delicious and top-quality ingredients like snow sheep, and the fact that there were still more than forty of them waiting for her to eat, the corners of Shu Xin's mouth involuntarily turned up higher and higher.

There are many ways to cook a sheep, and the recipes that Meimeilin received are definitely not limited to the ones currently on the table. Before they left the foot of Shuangyue Snow Mountain, Xi, at her request, carefully hid the more than forty snow sheep under the ice and snow. The low temperature environment is a natural refrigerator for preservation, which means that in the days to come, she can eat fresh and delicious mutton whenever she wants!

What surprised Shu Xin the most was the magic contained in the snow sheep meat. Just as Xi had told her when she mentioned snow sheep, the snow sheep's flesh and blood were full of magic. Moreover, this magic was very pure and gentle, and she could absorb it into her body without any hindrance.

After finishing the meal, Shu Xin felt refreshed and invigorated, feeling incredibly comfortable from head to toe. She even wanted to burst into song right there and then!

A single snow sheep is far too much for Shu Xin to finish in one meal, so whether it's Peng Peng An, Nuo Nuo Li, or Xi, the food placed in front of them, though still less than what Shu Xin has, is unusually plentiful.

Xi seemed quite satisfied with the meal, a smile playing on her lips, her bright green eyes sparkling as if they were glowing; while Pengpengan and Nuonuoli were truly radiant—

Shu Xin's eyes widened in surprise.

The red-haired flower fairy was still engrossed in drinking her soup, completely unaware that she was radiating a bright yet soft magical glow. Nonori, on the other hand, quickly noticed the anomaly, though he didn't initially realize that he was also glowing. The old flower fairy sensed something was wrong because the very short stubble on her head was growing at a slow but visible rate.

The sensation of hair brushing against his ear made Nonoli, who was also immersed in the delicious mutton soup, look up in surprise. He then saw his colleague glowing not far away. Looking down at himself, Nonoli was even more surprised to find that he was also glowing!

Looking at his glowing arm, Nonori focused his attention on sensing his current physical condition. He didn't feel any pain, and even felt a sense of relaxation and comfort, as if his curled-up limbs had been stretched out.

Nono suddenly remembered a legend she had heard in her childhood, a rather peculiar tale—

Long, long ago, beautiful seven-colored flowers bloomed in the clouds. Suddenly one day, a black wind blew from the ground all the way to the sky, scattering the seven-colored petals. Those that fell to the ground became river spirits. Some river spirits wanted to defeat the black wind and return to the sky, so they became flower fairies. Others, fearing the return of the black wind, only wanted to hide, so they became flower fairies.

This story had nothing to do with his glowing body, and Nono didn't know why he had thought of this legend. He was silent for a moment, then picked up the wooden bowl and continued drinking his soup.

The servants of the Flower Castle are also drinking soup.

When dealing with the snow sheep, the benevolent Flower Fairy generously ordered that the servants' bitter wheat soup be replaced with mutton soup. Although they couldn't enjoy a delicious feast, the flower fairies were still very happy to hold the thick soup with salt, sweet powder, mutton chunks, and mutton cartilage.

Compared to the bitter wheat soup that tasted incredibly bitter and left your mouth feeling numb by the end, the savory and oily mutton soup was absolutely delicious. Not to mention, you could still find tender chunks of mutton and crunchy pieces of mutton bone at the bottom of the bowl. The flower fairy servants were overjoyed, and each of them licked the wooden bowls clean, down to the bottom, so that they didn't even need to be washed!

Amidst the rising and falling praises of the servants, the cook, Memeline, proudly flew back to the kitchen to begin cooking soup for the slaves.

The merciful Flower Fairy was so compassionate and generous that she also ordered that Memeline be allowed to add some sweet powder and rock salt to the slaves' wheatgrass soup. She even generously allowed Memeline to add bones and scraps of meat to the wheatgrass soup.

Looking at the simmering bone broth and mutton offal soup next to her, and confirming that the soup's consistency was exactly the same as the recipe given by the Magic Tree, Meimei breathed a sigh of relief.

Although she didn't quite understand why the soup made from the offal and head of a snow sheep was called sheep offal soup, since the magic tree called it that, she should just follow suit. Meimei flew around the two large wooden pots again. This was the soup that was to be served to the Flower Fairy tomorrow, so it couldn't be ruined.

Several large pots were lined up in the kitchen. Meimeilin put her hands on her hips and thought for a moment. She threw the remaining large pieces of lamb bone, which were so hard that the servants couldn't chew them at all, into an empty pot, rolled out water balls, and started adding water.

By the time it was completely dark, the wheatgrass soup was ready. Looking at the finished product in the wooden pot, Meimeilin became even more proud. At this point, the wheatgrass soup could practically be called bone broth! Although it didn't smell as fragrant as the mutton soup they had eaten, it was still much better than the wheatgrass soup they had eaten before!

The flower fairy slaves, who had worked all day, did not fly back to their round houses, but instead gathered anxiously next to the magic workshop under construction.

The usual barley soup still hadn't been delivered by the servants of the Flower Castle. They couldn't help but wonder if they had done something wrong that had offended the Flower Fairy. Just thinking about going back to those days made some of the flower fairies sob.

Ananna didn't think so at all. Her tone was extremely firm: "No way! We've been working hard all along. The Flower Fairy is so gentle and kind, she wouldn't abandon us for no reason!"

Ananka was about to tell her sister to say less when she heard her shout, "Look! They've brought over barley porridge!"
