Chapter 63 I'm Telling the Truth: The Bakery
Shu Xin woke up refreshed and was about to get up to go to work when she suddenly remembered something. She turned her head and met the little lamb's big, round eyes: "I thought I was dreaming! You really are awake!"
The flower fairy snatched the lamb and flew out the window: "Get to work!"
The little lamb struggled and writhed, crying out, "I haven't rested enough! I need sleep! I don't want to—"
With Xi's "proactive" help, Shu Xin quickly produced enough flint. Then, Shu Xin took the little lamb and went to help the flower fairies build a paste furnace.
With Shu Xin's generous use of magic, as the mixing magic circle above the mixing tank slowly dispersed, not only was the gelatinization furnace completed in the brewery, but the fermentation tank and distillation platform were also built—the brewery was successfully completed!
Following the steps of the brewing recipe given by the Tree of Life, gelatinization does not take long. Put a large amount of flint into the bottom of the furnace, transfer the evenly mixed raw materials in the mixing pool to the cylinder suspended and fixed inside the furnace, activate the acceleration magic in the upper part of the furnace, and then heat the flint to keep the furnace at a high temperature. The cylinder, which will roll up and down under the action of the acceleration magic, can ensure that the raw materials inside are heated evenly. Then, just wait for half an hour, and gelatinization will be completed.
Shu Xin transferred the semi-transparent gel-like raw material from the gelatinization furnace to the fermentation tank, then added the grayish-white powder named "magic powder" by the Tree of Life, activating the acceleration magic in the fermentation tank. Next, she would have to wait 20 days before starting the final distillation step.
As the magic array on the surface of the fermentation tank slowly unfolded, the sun had already set.
The flower fairy, draped in the glow of the sunset, flapped her wings and flew towards the flower castle.
Shu Xin promised the listless lamb in her arms, "Don't be so discouraged. Once the acorn wine is ready, you can drink your fill!"
Xi rolled her eyes: "I'm not interested in elven drinks. Humans always praise elven drinks, saying they have the aroma of fruit and sunshine, but I neither like eating fruit nor sunbathing!"
The little lamb clung limply to Shu Xin's arm, full of resentment: "You might as well let me gnaw on a flower fairy and have a taste. Even if it's an alchemical life form, it's definitely more delicious to me than your acorn wine!"
Shu Xin hovered in the air. She reached out her other hand, grabbed the lamb by the neck, and lifted it off her arm, holding it in front of her.
The flower fairy, whose lips were always slightly upturned and who habitually wore a gentle smile, was expressionless at this moment.
“Xi, I think I told you before that alchemical beings are also beings, and they are my kin. I thought you understood what I meant, but unfortunately I was too confident in my ability to express myself. Now I will repeat what I mean to you in simpler terms: Xi, I warn you, do not have any designs on any flower fairies!”
Shu Xin looked directly into the lamb's round eyes: "The magical state of the Land of Sin has been restored. I don't need you to provide magic to survive, and you have obviously found a new food source. Our equal contract can be unilaterally terminated at any time. Xi, don't let me hear you say things like today again."
She stated calmly, "Perhaps I cannot kill you easily, but the Tree of Life certainly can."
As if in response, a tender green leaf drifted down from above in the gentle breeze. Seemingly slow, it landed in front of the lamb in an instant. Before Xi could react, the green leaf transformed into a light green light and entered his mind, merging into his soul.
Xi snapped out of her daze and quickly shook her head: "By the Demon God! I can't feel anything!"
"So, have we reached a consensus now? Do you understand what I mean?" Shu Xin asked.
The little lamb looked increasingly dejected: "I swear on my own soul to the Demon God, Shu Xin, I truly have no ill intentions towards you!"
Shu Xin simply asked again, "Have we reached a consensus? Do you understand what I mean?"
Xi remained silent for a long while, then couldn't help but sigh: "We've reached a consensus! We understand! There won't be a next time!"
The flower fairy smiled again, placed the snow-white lamb back in her arms, and gently stroked the lamb's soft, smooth fur:
“The way you spoke of my people hurt me deeply. I thought we could be friends, Xi. I didn’t investigate your purpose in coming to the Kingdom of Ganar, nor did I pursue your concealment and deception of me. So please consider my feelings. Otherwise, I’ll have to seriously consider your fate.”
The little lamb flicked its tail: "Then let me give you some advice, my dear. You can treat me as a friend. My concealment is only because I have to, and my deception is only because I can't tell the truth. Please don't treat me as an enemy. I won't feel sad or upset. I just, how should I put it, my dear, if you treat me like an enemy, really, I'm not lying to you, I will fall deeply, deeply in love with you."
The flower fairy, who was about to continue flying forward, froze. She threw the little lamb in her arms away, saying, "What nonsense are you spouting?!"
Xi spread her wings and flew back: "I was telling the truth!"
Shu Xin: "That sounds even scarier!"
After adding a little ripple to Shu Xin's peaceful and fulfilling life, Xi buried his head in his sleep again—Shu Xin reasonably suspected that he just wanted to escape from work!
After the brewery was built, Shu Xin went to the Tree of Life and got a magical blueprint for a bread workshop. After all, relying solely on Mei Meilin, the poor cook was already busy from morning till night just to supply all the flower fairies with soup. If she wanted to provide acorn bread to all the flower fairies in the Land of Sin during mealtimes, she would really be exhausted to death...
However, the magic contained in acorn bread is really abundant. Nonoli and Pengpengan can eat acorn bread every day with Shuxin. Now, the height and size of the two flower fairy officials are almost catching up with the tall patrolmen who once came to the Land of Sin!
So Shuxin made a special wish to the Tree of Life, hoping to obtain a blueprint for a workshop specifically for baking bread. As always, the Tree of Life provided a customized solution. After receiving the blueprint, Shuxin was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a fully automated bread workshop. Once it was built, acorn flour would be filled in, and the magic circle inside the workshop would be activated, and acorn bread would be baked continuously!
Moreover, this bakery is the same size as the newly built brewery, which means that as long as one large batch of bread is baked each day, it will be enough for all the flower fairies in the land of sin to eat!
