Chapter 66 Acorn Wine Successfully Brewed! Petal Bed, Petal Carpet...

Chapter 66 Acorn Wine Successfully Brewed! Petal Bed, Petal Carpet...

It has a rich fruity aroma and a sweet taste. It's smooth on the palate, but when you swallow it, it has a slightly burning sensation in your throat. After a while, the aftertaste is fragrant and lingering. Shu Xin couldn't help but take another small sip. And let me tell you, it's quite intoxicating.

Shu Xin thought of the six words often used to describe good wine: "smooth on the palate, a gentle flow down the throat." Amused by her own thoughts, Shu Xin felt that this otherworldly version of acorn wine had a pretty high alcohol content.

In her original world, Shu Xin would also drink a little alcohol, but it was usually low-alcohol sweet wine, and she would openly declare that she didn't drink at all. Thinking of her friends who used to go to pubs with her to passionately share all sorts of gossip and complain about their silly bosses and stupid colleagues, and thinking of her parents who firmly believed that wine could cure high blood pressure and therefore drank Sprite mixed with red wine during the New Year, Shu Xin downed the drink in her bowl in one gulp, exhaled, and thought that they would never imagine that she had now become a magical flower fairy who was always bling~bling~ shining brightly, not only with pointy ears but also with sparkling transparent wings, and she was always waving her magic wand.

However, working in the magical world is much easier than in the original world, Shu Xin thought with a wry smile.

Turning around, Shu Xin smiled at the flower fairy cook who had come with her:

"The acorn wine is successfully brewed! I want to share my joy with everyone! So today, all the flower fairies can have a glass of acorn wine! Oh, and the bakery is finished too. Let's go, Meimeilin, let's go to the bakery together. From today onwards, all the flower fairies can eat acorn bread!"

The harvest month is drawing ever closer, and the concentration of magic in the air is changing more and more drastically. Even within the area covered by the Tree of Life, the winds are showing a tendency to grow stronger.

The tiny flower fairy slaves no longer fly in the air. After leaving the field of ground-hugging flowers, they fly close to the ground. Once they sense that the wind is about to pick up, they quickly land on the ground, dig a hole, and bury themselves in it. When the wind subsides again, they climb out and continue flying forward close to the ground.

The flower fairies no longer fly alone when they go out, but instead hold hands with their families, friends, and neighbors to ward off the strong winds. The patrolling flower fairies all carry magic wands, because the Flower Fairy has not taken them away. The patrol members with auxiliary magic wands can also help to add windproof magic shields to the civilians, so so far, no flower fairy has been injured or gone missing because of the strong winds—Shuxin, whose main focus is on weaving grass plants, has not noticed this problem.

This is a very normal thing for the flower fairies. No matter if it's a windstorm, a rainstorm, or a fire, they still have to go out.

Farmland can be destroyed by gales, torrential rains, and raging fires, so it is even more important to hurry up and move and care for crops that have not yet been destroyed by disasters; magical ores will not be blown away by strong winds, nor washed away by rain, nor burned by fire, so it is even more important to hurry up and dig them out when disaster strikes.

The magical tax collected after the harvest month doesn't care whether the territory has suffered a disaster!

After finishing their day's work, they flew close to the ground into the field of groundflowers. Ananka and Ananna held hands and weaved through the grass stems until they reached their round house before letting go of each other's hands.

Seeing that Ananna was about to fly into the house, Ananka quickly called out to her sister, watched her check the part of the round house buried underground, and confirmed that the soil was firmly packed and the round house was buried very securely before letting her go back.

As the wind grew stronger, the round house hanging on the ground grass swayed more and more violently, sometimes even waking the flower fairy slaves. Whoever was sound asleep would be startled awake if they suddenly rolled off the bed and started rolling around in the house? Back when they lived in the bitter wheat field, one flower fairy had buried her round house in the ground. After moving to the ground grass field, she still buried a large part of her round house in the ground. Unexpectedly, after the strong wind blew, she was the only one who slept soundly. So the flower fairy slaves followed her example and buried their round houses in the ground as well.

Ananka also checked his round house and made sure that the bottom of the house was still firmly buried in the ground before he felt relieved. Yesterday, there was an unlucky guy whose house was buried too shallow. He was sleeping at night when the wind blew him away along with the house!

Flying into the round house, the gentle breeze that greeted him made Ananka sigh comfortably. He flew to the round wooden bed, pounced on the soft, fragrant, thick layer of flower petals, and rolled around comfortably.

Ananka thought to herself that Lilia was really smart. It was amazing that she could think of burying the round house in the ground. She even picked up the fallen petals of the creeping grass and brought them back to the house, crushed them and spread them on the bed. It was really nice to sleep on!

Lilia said that by simply breaking off a leaf of the creeping privet and peeling off the outer skin, you can use the sticky sap from the leaf to wrap the creeping privet around the round wooden bed. Then, tear the creeping privet petals into small pieces and spread them inside the creeping privet circle. You can then sleep on a thick, soft, and fragrant bed. Don't throw away the peeled-off leaf skin. While the inside of the skin is still sticky, you can roll it up little by little and press it down to make a pillow. The remaining parts can be torn into pieces and pasted onto the round wooden table as a tablecloth, onto the wall as decoration, or onto the floor as a rug.

Ananka pasted the beautiful green leaves onto the round wooden table, and then, with the extra leaves, he pasted them around the foot of the round wooden bed and under the wooden table as well. Ananna, on the other hand, pasted them all onto the floor. Ananka even saw a flower fairy pasting a ring of leaves around the outside of her round house. To be honest, after seeing that beautiful green ring, Ananka regretted pasting all her leaves inside the house...

The wind is getting stronger, and more and more petals of the creeping grass are being blown down. A couple of days ago, Ananka heard a flower fairy say that Lilia had collected a lot of petals and spread a thick layer on the floor of her house, which felt very comfortable!

Ananka also wanted to lay a petal carpet on his floor, but he was so tired after work every day that he just wanted to go to bed and sleep. He didn't want to do anything. Honestly, didn't Lilia feel tired? It would take a lot of petals to cover the floor, not to mention having to break them up little by little!

Drowsy, Ananka rolled over and mumbled that he should visit Lilia's house when he had time. If the petal carpet was really comfortable, he and Ananka would collect petals together, a little each day, and eventually they would have enough.

"Brother! Brother! Brother—" A loud shout suddenly rang in her ears, and An Anka sat up with a start.

Rubbing her eyes, Ananka looked at her excited sister: "What's wrong, Ananna? I just fell asleep. Is something the matter?"

Looking out the window, it was completely dark, and the shadows cast by the grass blades were no longer visible. Ananka couldn't help but yawn: "What's wrong, Anana?"

"Don't sleep yet, brother! The Flower Fairy is going to give us magic potions to drink!" Ananna was extremely excited. She grabbed her brother and flew away. "Drink the magic potion first, then you can sleep!"
