"If it's someone like my uncle, he'll have a gun. Other ordinary traffic police officers probably don't."
"As for the high-powered firearms you mentioned, you mean large-caliber ones, right? The entire traffic police brigade doesn't have any of those kinds of guns," Gan Wei replied seriously.
Hearing what she said earlier, Jiang Wu felt like scolding her. She was such a naive and clueless girl, she didn't even know how to get to the point.
Upon hearing the last sentence, Jiang Wu felt relieved and rushed forward to kill all the zombies gathered at the entrance.
Then he patted the warehouse door and shouted, "Is anyone inside?! If you don't come out, we're leaving, and you'll all be trapped inside and die!"
Not long after.
The warehouse's tightly locked iron gate opened a crack, revealing half a face and an eye.
Jiang Wu controlled his strength and kicked the door. The person was thrown back several steps by the recoil and finally sat down on the ground.
"Just you?"
Jiang Wu looked at the male traffic policeman, who appeared to be around 40 years old, and casually asked him a question.
This traffic policeman is probably the oldest person Jiang Wu has ever seen in the apocalypse.
Long-term malnutrition had left the traffic policeman pale and thin, with chapped lips, looking as if he were very dehydrated.
Jiang Wu wondered if it was because he was too thin, but he thought the man looked a bit shifty.
"No! There's another woman!"
The man's pupils contracted when he saw the Type 95 rifle slung across Jiang Wu's body.
Fearing that Jiang Wu would misunderstand, he directly implicated another person.
"Call her out, then you two put your hands up and squat on the ground."
Jiang Wu casually fiddled with the Type 95 assault rifle, his tone indifferent.
"Fine! Han Lin! Get out here right now!"
The man shouted inside and raised his hands.
Not long after, a woman in her thirties, who was also pale and thin, slowly walked out from inside to the man's side.
Her hand was raised high, and her eyes were brimming with tears.
I don't know if it was fear or the joy of being rescued that made me cry.
Gan Wei walked over at this moment and, upon seeing the man inside, exclaimed in surprise, "Uncle? You're still alive?!"
The man looked up blankly for a moment, and upon seeing Gan Wei, he forgot his fear and excitedly shouted, "Xiao Wei! You're still alive!"
Xiao Wei? That name sounds so familiar...
grass!
Feifei's nickname is Xiaowei!
What a coincidence!
Jiang Wu coughed twice and said calmly, "Since you are relatives, that's even better. Silly Bai... Gan Wei, tell your cousin about our purpose."
After having Gan Wei communicate with her cousin, Jiang Wu went into the warehouse to see what was inside.
As soon as I entered, I smelled a stench from fermenting sewage.
After glancing at it casually and confirming that it was all useless, Jiang Wu walked out.
Two months' worth of eating, drinking, and relieving oneself were all taken care of inside.
There was even a sexual odor mixed in, and it was summer, so it was absolutely disgusting.
Jiang Wu preferred to smell the stench of zombies.
Surprisingly, Gan Wei didn't seem to mind the stench; instead, she followed her uncle inside to look for something.
This impressed Jiang Wu.
After taking a few breaths of fresh air by the window, Jiang Wu inadvertently discovered a rural manor about 200 meters away.
There were actually more than a dozen people there!
It was a walled manor, located at the foot of the mountain, far from the other ordinary self-built houses nearby.
There are three buildings in the manor, and the courtyard is quite large. The buildings have white walls and gray tiles, and the design is quite nice.
"There are more than ten people in the courtyard, and there are probably more inside the house."
Jiang Wu squinted and muttered to himself.
To be honest, he had a certain longing for that population.
The mountain resort has no shortage of weapons or food.
They even have nearly 70 Type 95 rifles, over 100 pistols, and various riot shields and the like.
It is entirely possible to assemble a team of more than two hundred people.
If there were truly so many fully armed people obeying his orders, his and Su Bai's lives would be greatly protected.
To put it figuratively, even if another giant eagle were to swoop down from the sky, it wouldn't know who to attack.
But unfortunately, what the resort needs most right now is people.
In this damn apocalypse, far too few people have survived.
......
Not long after, Gan Wei came out with a bag of keys, along with a bunch of tags.
Her cousin, also carrying a bag, walked up to Jiang Wu and said with a fawning smile, "Greetings, Chief! Thank you for saving our lives. If you hadn't come, Han Lin and I would have starved and died of thirst in just a few days."
Jiang Wu casually asked, "What's your name?"
"Wu Tiande is the second child in his family, so you can just call me Wu Lao Er."
Wu Lao Er smiled obsequiously.
Jiang Wu smiled and said, "Your name is interesting. Is your older brother named Wu Tianli?"
This Wu Lao Er doesn't look like a traffic cop at all; he looks more like a seasoned veteran. Jiang Wu couldn't help but feel like teasing him.
Wu Lao Er smiled awkwardly and said in a flattering tone, "Chief, Xiao Wei just said you need to get a car to go back. I'm a good driver, I can drive all kinds of cars."
Jiang Wu became interested and asked, "You can operate those bulldozers and excavators too?"
Wu Lao Er nodded and chuckled, "Of course, Chief, I certainly won't let you down."
Jiang Wu pointed to the manor about 200 meters away and asked Wu Lao Er, "Do you know who lives in that manor?"
Wu Lao Er picked up the binoculars hanging around his neck and looked at them for a while, then said, "Chief, I know, that's Tang Min's house. His family is in the sand mining business..."
Jiang Wu interrupted, "Do they have guns?"
Wu Lao Er quickly shook his head and said, "It shouldn't be. You know, our country is very strict about this area. A while ago, I saw them sending people to try to get into our warehouse through the window. They were probably looking for guns and equipment. Ten people came with knives and axes, but only five of them went back."
Jiang Wu nodded and said calmly, "Is there anything else you need? If not, go to the underground parking garage first. I brought some food in the car, so you can have some to eat first."
Wu Lao Er said with a fawning smile, "Thank you, Chief! Xiao Wei said you are exceptionally kind."
Gan Wei changed the subject, saying, "Chief, there's an armory on the second floor of this building. There should be a few pistols and some bullets inside. Should we go get them?"
Jiang Wu shook his head and said, "I have something to do later and need to check on the situation at that manor. I don't have time to waste on a few pistols."
Upon arriving at the underground parking garage, Jiang Wu was quite satisfied to find that all the drivers he had brought were sitting obediently in their cars.
After thinking for a moment, Jiang Wu took out another pistol and handed it to Wu Lao Er, saying, "You stay here and lead them to find a vehicle. It needs to be able to carry cargo and have enough horsepower. Make sure they travel together and don't go alone."
Wu Lao Er nodded quickly.
Jiang Wu then took a bag of vacuum-packed cooked meat and a few Snickers bars from the Hummer and handed them to Wu Lao Er.
Seeing that his mouth was extremely dry, they took two large bottles of mineral water from the trunk for him.
This series of actions moved Wu Lao Er and Han Lin to tears.
