Chapter 49 Horror

Jiang Wu watched as it fiddled with the dilapidated electric scooter.

His heart was pounding in his throat, and he slowly squatted down with Bai Feiming in his arms.

They could only pray that the two of them wouldn't be spotted by the giant eagle.

He felt immense pressure emanating from the giant eagle and had absolutely no confidence that he could fight it.

Bai Feiming also spotted the giant eagle at this moment, and was equally astonished and speechless.

Her beautiful lips were slightly parted, and even her breathing slowed down.

The giant eagle came quickly and left quickly.

Perhaps finding electric cars uninteresting, it simply flapped its wings and soared into the sky.

The speed was so fast that it startled Jiang Wu and Bai Feiming, who broke out in a cold sweat.

The two squatted on the ground for more than ten minutes, making sure the giant eagle had flown away before Jiang Wu dared to pull Bai Feiming up and walk to the electric car.

The electric car has been reduced to a pile of fragments.

Bai Feiming picked up a piece of metal and looked at the claw marks on it in disbelief, saying, "This is unbelievable. How could a carbon-based creature so easily damage a steel casting?"

Jiang Wu picked up the engine and gasped.

Who would have thought that an eagle's claws could poke holes in a metal engine?

If it weren't for the system's reminder, Bai Feiming and I would probably have been caught and killed by that eagle like chicks.

This system is actually quite reliable!

Bai Feiming stared at the electric car, now reduced to pieces, for a while, then looked around.

He said to Jiang Wu, "Brother Wu, we must not wear brightly colored clothes in the future. This giant eagle must have been attracted by the colors on the electric car."

After Bai Feiming's reminder, Jiang Wu understood why the giant eagle had suddenly attacked the electric car.

Everything was gray and gloomy.

With such a brightly colored car driving on the road, who else would they target if not you?

Jiang Wu asked, "Feifei, do you know how far we are from our destination?"

"About 15 kilometers."

Bai Feiming has an excellent memory and amazing calculation ability.

Jiang Wu didn't know how she calculated that it was about 15 kilometers from where she was standing to the brick factory.

Without a car, I have to rely on my own two legs.

However, both of them have undergone two evolutions, so this distance is nothing to them.

A light drizzle fell, and mist swirled through the mountains and forests. The nearby zombies seemed to be cheering on the two of them.

Even though zombies were everywhere, Jiang Wu felt like he was on a date as he walked hand in hand with Bai Feiming.

No wonder some people say that couples strolling in the rain is very romantic.

Jiang Wu strongly agreed with this viewpoint this time.

The two walked quickly, with Bai Feiming, who had an amazing memory, pointing the way.

The two arrived near the brickyard in less than an hour.

More than a dozen large trucks were parked along the road leading to the brick factory.

However, after long-term acid rain corrosion, these trucks have been completely rusted and their original color is no longer visible.

Jiang Wu tapped the metal body of the truck with his hand, and it made a hole in it with one tap, just like pieces of rubble.

This indicates that the truck's paint has extremely poor rust prevention.

"Don't these drivers have the habit of covering their trucks with tarpaulins? They really don't know how to cherish their livelihoods," Jiang Wu cursed inwardly.

All the trucks outside were out of luck; their only hope lay inside the factory.

From the outside, this brick and tile factory looks quite large, and there is even a row of dormitory-like buildings inside.

Several large steel-structured factory buildings are now covered in rust, and some parts have even collapsed.

However, there are still two large brick and tile buildings inside, which look quite interesting.

Upon arriving at the gate, the massive iron gate was now completely rusted and would break at the slightest touch.

This is what happens when something without anti-rust paint is exposed to acid rain over a long period of time.

As soon as he passed through the iron gate, Jiang Wu spotted a huge zombie, at least two and a half meters tall and with a dark bluish-green body, about seventy or eighty meters away.

Compared to it, the ordinary zombies not far away looked like five or six-year-old children.

T2, and a complete T2 at that!

Jiang Wu took a deep breath. How did we run into this thing again?

But we didn't plan to play T2 today, so the two of us only brought four knives.

Bai Feiming also saw the giant zombie in the distance and asked softly, "Is that the T2 you mentioned?"

Jiang Wu nodded and said helplessly, "We're not going to fight it today. We'll just sneak in, find the car, and drive away."

After walking more than ten meters, Jiang Wu realized something was wrong again; there were far too many bones and clothes scattered on the ground ahead.

"Feifei, how many workers are there in this brick and tile factory?" Jiang Wu asked, puzzled.

Bai Feiming frowned slightly, looked at the zombies in front of her and the white bones on the ground, and said, "There are no more than 100 workers living here."

Jiang Wu looked at the scattered skulls and silently counted them. He hesitated and said, "There are at least 50 skulls that we can see now. How could so many living people have been eaten by zombies here?"

Bai Feiming continued to stare at the huge zombie dozens of meters away, and casually said, "It must be a survivor from nearby who wanted to take refuge here, get supplies, or like us, wanted to find a truck, and then got killed by the zombie."

Jiang Wu was speechless. He had actually asked Bai Feiming about such a simple thing. He really was a pig-brain.

But he still felt something was off.

These zombies didn't manage to surround the area.

Their numbers are limited, so how did they manage to kill so many people here?

This place was really strange, and Jiang Wu just wanted to find a truck and leave as soon as possible.
