Chapter 72 The Ruthless Jiang Wu

A few seconds later, the burly man, realizing what had happened, suddenly changed his expression and demanded, "Were you scratched or bitten by a zombie! Tell me!"

The man raised his arm and said tremblingly, "Brother Qiang, I...I don't want to die yet, you...you tell me what to do."

Several scratch marks were clearly visible on his wrist.

Qiang and the others all changed their expressions, looking at the man with pity.

Jiang Wu suddenly slashed with his sword; the movement was so fast that no one could react in time.

The man suddenly screamed in agony as his arm, which had been grabbed, was severed at the root.

Then he began to wail incessantly.

The four burly men stared blankly at Jiang Wu.

Jiang Wu said without changing his expression, "Anyway, we're going to die. Let's see if cutting off my arm can stop the virus from spreading. Don't worry, if you still turn into a zombie later, I'll make sure you die a quick and painless death."

Seeing that Jiang Wu showed no mercy when he started fighting, the man who had just been holding the gun shuddered and said with a fawning smile, "Brother, you're right!"

Jiang Wu reminded them, "You should stop the bleeding first."

As soon as he finished speaking, the man stopped wailing and started roaring like a zombie.

Another man with a riot-proof steel fork quickly impaled the fork on the man's neck.

The man with the missing arm's eyes became noticeably cloudy at this point, and he continued to roar.

Jiang Wu rubbed his head. It seemed that even cutting off a large chunk of tissue wouldn't help after being scratched by a zombie.

I just don't know if it's because it's been too long.

Without giving the zombie another chance to roar, Jiang Wu cleaved its head open with a single blow.

Red and white substances splattered out.

Jiang Wu was already used to this kind of scene, and remained expressionless, without even blinking.

The other four all looked at Jiang Wu with awe.

They knew he was a ruthless person.

They are far more ruthless than people like them who always hide in the police station.

After dealing with the potential dangers, Jiang Wu finally had time to play with the gun in his hand.

Jiang Wu was quite excited to get his hands on a real firearm for the first time.

Unfortunately, Jiang Wu was a military illiterate; he didn't even know where the insurance was.

"Not a single bullet left?" Jiang Wu wanted to fire a few more shots to try.

All four shook their heads. Sheng Huaiqiang said bitterly, "The entire town police station only found these two guns and more than 30 bullets, and they've all been used up."

Jiang Wu frowned, tossed the gun back to the two men, and asked, "Does either of you know where the hardware store and the family planning supplies store are in town? How much stuff they have?"

The thin man holding the pistol raised his hand and said, "Brother! We're all locals. I know this town best. The hardware store and the family planning supply store are both across the street from the town."

"How far is it from here to there? How many zombies are there?"

"About 400 meters away, there are tons of zombies, at least 200! I don't dare look any longer!" The man with the rifle also raised his hand in response.

Jiang Wu frowned. More than two hundred zombies plus a T2 tank—this was going to take quite a while.

"Is there another way to get to the other side?" Jiang Wu pondered for a moment and then asked.

The four men looked at each other in bewilderment. The burly man said, "Yes, but it's more than 50 miles away."

It's over fifty miles; we might as well just charge straight there from here.

Jiang Wu had his answer. After a moment of contemplation, he looked at the four men and asked, "What are your names? Are you interested in working for me? If you work for me, you'll have safe accommodations and plenty of food."

He needs to either recruit these people to the resort or simply drive them away.

We can't just kill all the zombies ourselves and let these guys get away with it.

Anyway, with the system task notification, Jiang Wu knew perfectly well whether these people had voluntarily joined the manor.

The four of them were stunned.

The pockmarked man with the pistol had just witnessed Jiang Wu's ability to kill zombies, and quickly said, "Brother, my name is Wang Qi, but everyone likes to call me Pockmarked. I'm willing to work for you!"

After speaking, Ma Zi deliberately stood next to Jiang Wu, distancing himself from the other three.

Jiang Wu nodded to Ma Zi with satisfaction.

He then looked at the other three with a half-smile, especially the burly man in the lead.

Jiang Wu had a good impression of this burly man; when they escaped from the car earlier, the burly man had taken the initiative to cover the others.

Such a person has excellent character and is worth cultivating.

The burly man sensed the deeper meaning in Jiang Wu's eyes and said with a wry smile, "Brother, we should work with you just for the sake of saving us. However, there are still three women in the police station. If we leave, they will only be waiting to die."

Jiang Wu asked, feigning seriousness, "The town entrance is overrun with zombies. How are you going to get back to the police station?"

The burly man pointed to the rooftops of houses near the town entrance and said, "Climb up to the rooftops, and slowly make your way to the police station. You'll eventually find a chance to sneak in."

Jiang Wu was surprised that this burly man had the same idea as him when he went to the city before, and couldn't help but laugh and say, "This idea is really good."

Then his smile faded, and he asked calmly, "And then what? Die of thirst and starvation in the police station?"

The burly man fell silent for a moment.

The man with the rifle suddenly stood next to Jiang Wu and said with a fawning smile, "Brother, my name is Ding Chengde, you can call me Dezi, and I'm willing to work with you."

Jiang Wu nodded to Dezi, then turned his gaze to the remaining two men, curious about the burly man's choice.

After waiting for several minutes, the burly man sighed and said to the man standing next to him with the riot fork, "Old Hei, you work with the boss. I'm going back to the police station."
