Chapter 824 Entering the Fog Zone

The phoenix chuckled and said coquettishly, "May I touch it?"

Jiang Wu said calmly, "No."

Fire Phoenix looked at Jiang Wu, still smiling sweetly on the surface, but sighed inwardly.

She understood completely.

The man in front of her truly despised her past.

I had no opinion on her figure or appearance.

It was late last night.

She had already used the most humble method to ask him to spend one night with her.

As a result, he was not only not tempted, but was instead thrown off the fifth floor.

They showed absolutely no mercy.

If she hadn't been one of the best among the evolved beings, she would have lost half her life back then.

From her teens, she learned to use her beauty to get whatever she wanted, and men were always manipulated by her.

She always manages to get what she wants.

But this time, faced with this mysterious and powerful man who also captivated her heart, she was utterly powerless.

Just then, a figure rapidly approached.

He quickly appeared next to Jiang Wu.

It was Blood Rose, dressed in a long white robe.

When she saw the enormous golden bird, a hint of shock flashed in her cold eyes.

This giant bird, with a wingspan of over thirty meters, is covered in golden feathers that shimmer brilliantly in the morning light, resembling the mythical Golden-Winged Roc.

Upon seeing that the person had arrived, Jiang Wu said to Fire Phoenix, "I'm entrusting Engineer Chen's safety to you. I will repay you in the future."

Phoenix nodded, a hint of disappointment flashing in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by a charming smile: "Don't worry, Mr. Bai. No one can touch a hair on Engineer Chen's head here."

Jiang Wu leaped and landed lightly on the broad back of the giant golden bird.

"Come up!" Jiang Wu looked at Blood Rose and saw her staring blankly at Little Golden Hair, so he urged her directly.

Blood Rose hesitated for a moment, then jumped up and sat behind Jiang Wu.

"Xiao Jin, let's go," Jiang Wu said softly.

The giant golden bird spread its enormous wings and flapped them violently, creating a gust of wind.

The fire phoenix had to take a few steps back and use its hands to block the oncoming airflow.

As she lowered her hand, the giant bird soared into the sky and flew towards the misty area.

Watching the golden figure gradually disappear into the distance, the Fire Phoenix sighed deeply.

This mysterious and powerful man is like a cloud in the sky—visible but untouchable.

On the bird's back, Blood Rose felt the whistling wind and bit her lower lip.

Finally speaking, he asked, "Once we enter the misty area, will you follow my instructions?"

Jiang Wu's face twitched.

You're so shameless, or are you just taking advantage of your good looks to treat me like your lapdog?

They won't tell you what's going on inside, and now they expect me to follow their instructions?

Without turning his head, he said in a calm but firm tone, "Unless you tell me what you know, I don't have the habit of listening to strangers' arrangements."

Blood Rose fell silent once more.

She clenched her hands tightly, her knuckles turning white from the force, but ultimately remained silent.

Before long, the golden giant bird flew over the misty area.

From the air, the area was completely shrouded in thick, grayish-white fog, as if the earth had been covered with a mysterious veil.

The fog churned and surged, occasionally revealing the twisted and mutated outlines of the plants below.

Jiang Wu directed Xiao Jin to land on an open area at the edge of the fog zone.

The giant bird folded its wings and landed steadily on the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Jiang Wu jumped off the bird's back and drew out the claw blade that had been sharpened from the claws of a level four rat king.

The sharp blade still gleamed coldly in the hazy mist.

He took the lead and walked into the depths of the fog, his steps firm.

Blood Rose bit her lower lip and quickly followed Jiang Wu's pace.

Upon entering the foggy area, visibility dropped sharply.

A thick, grayish-white fog enveloped the surroundings, limiting visibility to within a meter.

The air was filled with a damp, musty smell, mixed with a strange, sweet, fishy odor.

The ground underfoot was soft and damp, making a "crunching" sound when stepped on.

Jiang Wu looked down and saw something different from the icy world outside.

Surprisingly, there was no snow here; the ground was covered with a thick layer of moss.

These mosses were an abnormal purplish-red color and were still wriggling slightly, as if they were alive.

As Jiang Wu walked, he frowned and looked around.

The mutated plants around them also seemed to have undergone even more bizarre mutations.

Some trees grow in a twisted and bizarre way, with eye-like markings covering their trunks.

Some vines wriggled slowly like living things, covered with sharp barbs.

There were also some enormous mushrooms, their caps shimmering with a faint glow, appearing and disappearing in the mist.

“Watch out for those glowing mushrooms,” Blood Rose suddenly whispered a warning. “Their spores have hallucinogenic effects.”

Jiang Wu nodded and walked around the fluorescent mushrooms.

It's better to avoid trouble.

He wouldn't take advantage of his immunity to all poisons and his status as a high-level evolved being to conduct human experiments.

The deeper we went, the thicker the fog became, and visibility decreased further.

A rustling sound could be heard from time to time, as if countless things were constantly moving in the mist.

However, due to the poor visibility, Jiang Wu didn't know what those things were.

Suddenly, Jiang Wu stopped and raised his claw blade.

In the fog ahead, a large dark shadow could be vaguely seen wriggling.

As they drew closer, the shadowy figures gradually became clearer.
