The girl changed her clothes very quickly.
When she stood in front of him, Jiang Wu casually asked, "What's your name?"
"Wang Xi, Xi as in hope, is 19 years old this year and is a sophomore in college."
Jiang Wu nodded, picked up his things, and went downstairs.
"Brother, let me get it for you."
Wang Xi quickly walked to Jiang Wu's side and reached out to help Jiang Wu carry the gas masks and thick raincoats.
Jiang Wu didn't refuse and handed the large package directly to Wang Xi.
He was only carrying two fire axes and a steel spear.
I have to lead the way or kill zombies later, so I can only let her do the hard work.
The lights on the first floor were off, and even the back window was covered with thick curtains, making it pitch black.
Before Jiang Wu could speak, Wang Xi whispered, "Brother, should we turn on the lights? There's still some food in the shop."
"Um."
Wang Xi quickly groped his way to the side in the dark and turned on the light.
Three fluorescent tubes illuminated the entire small shop.
Jiang Wu gave Wang Xi an approving look.
This girl has a good eye.
Although she looks delicate and weak, she is actually quite strong.
After all, it's just a small grocery store in the suburbs, serving mainly the villagers in the neighborhood.
The shop was small, with very few items; the shelves were mostly empty, and the floor was covered with open packaging bags.
What remained most were cigarettes and alcohol, but Jiang Wu had never been a fan of them.
The key issue is that we didn't have the money to buy these things before.
Wang Xi glanced at the situation in the shop with surprise and said to Jiang Wu, "Brother, there was still a lot of stuff a few days ago, but those three damned beasts ruined it all."
Jiang Wu nodded and found a large snakeskin bag to pack all the seasonings, cooked food, and snacks into it.
Wang Xi also packed a bag, carrying one in each hand, which was quite difficult.
After the two of them ransacked the store, all that was left were cigarettes, alcohol, beverages, and inedible items.
Upon arriving at the back door, Jiang Wu first lifted the curtain beside him and peeked through the window.
After confirming that it was safe, Jiang Wu took a raincoat and gas mask from Wang Xi and instructed Wang Xi, "You should also wear a raincoat and gas mask. The rainwater outside is very corrosive and will hurt a lot if it gets on your skin."
Wang Xi glanced out the window in surprise.
Instead of putting on her raincoat, she put down what she was holding and went to the shelf to look for something.
A short while later, they brought over a large roll of cling film.
"Brother, after you put on your raincoat, I'll wrap you in plastic wrap again. It's very waterproof. I saw those three beasts wrapping themselves in plastic wrap when they first came a few days ago."
Jiang Wu's eyes lit up when he saw the plastic wrap in her hand. Why hadn't he thought of this trick?
No wonder those three guys were so fierce.
"Bring all the plastic wrap, but we don't need it now, I live not far away."
"good!"
Wang Xi went back and got a few rolls of cling film, put them in a bag, and then started putting on his raincoat.
Perhaps because the zombies were focusing their energy on the rain, the route Jiang Wu took was very safe.
Jiang Wu told Wang Xi to stay on the second floor and told her not to go up to the third or fourth floor before returning to his own room.
......
On the other side, Bai Feiming stared blankly at the half-empty bottle of mineral water on the table.
She had long since finished the bread and hadn't eaten anything for two days and one night.
Even though I control my water intake every day, now I only have this last bit of mineral water left.
With a dry mouth and a burning sensation in her throat, Bai Feiming resisted the urge to drink water.
Instead, she lowered her head, picked up her phone, and looked at the message Jiang Wu had sent her.
Now, only by seeing the messages Jiang Wu sends her each day can Bai Feiming find the courage to keep living.
He sends himself messages every day to encourage himself.
His messages were always full of hope.
Although his words were silly, they were always so heartwarming.
But how many more days can I hold on?
Opening Jiang Wu's WeChat Moments, there was still no information.
But Bai Feiming suddenly wanted to know what kind of person Jiang Wu really was.
Thinking of this, Bai Feiming's heart suddenly skipped a beat, and a blush appeared on her cool face.
At that moment, she suddenly couldn't feel the discomfort in her body anymore, and only one thought remained in her mind: to ask him!
But how do you talk to a man about these things?
After a moment's hesitation, Bai Feiming typed on her phone with her slender, fair fingers.
[Wei]: Jiang Wu, what kind of food do you like to eat?
After sending the message, Bai Feiming felt her heart pounding faster; it was a strange feeling.
Jiang Wu, who was exercising indoors, felt his phone vibrate with a message. He took it out and looked at it, feeling a little confused.
Why is the chairman asking me this?
[Jiang Wu]: Meat.
[Wei]: I also like to eat tuna.
[Jiang Wu]: Oh, I've heard of that. You can't afford it. Chairman, how much food and drink do you have left?
[Wei]: Call me Fei Ming, or Xiao Wei. My name used to be Bai Wei, but my grandfather changed it to Bai Fei Ming.
After sending the message, Bai Feiming glanced at the acid rain that was still falling outside the French windows and gave a bitter smile.
What's the point of letting him know that I'm about to starve and die of thirst?
[Wei]: There's food and drink too, so you don't need to worry about me for now.
[Jiang Wu]: I'll come and rescue you when the rain gets a little lighter. I've found some good stuff that should protect you from the corrosive effects of the rain.
Bai Feiming's eyes welled up with tears.
He's always thinking of me.
