Chapter 541 The Zombie Horde Arrives

Closing the diary, Bai Feiming calmly looked at the boy and asked, "This notebook is full of Japanese, which I can't understand. Do you speak Japanese?"

The boy was overjoyed and pleaded, "Sister, could you please let me go? I'm just following orders. As for the Japanese language, I don't know much; I can only recognize a few words."

Bai Feiming released the boy, handed him the diary, and said calmly, "What are you planning to do here, the Chosen Ones?"

The boy took the diary, rubbed his neck, and said pitifully, "Sister, I'm not really sure either. They just told us to carry these to lure the zombies forward. I don't know the specifics. I was just following orders."

Bai Feiming nodded, then suddenly said in fluent Japanese, "Sato, how did you come here from Japan? I want to go back to Japan too."

Sato was taken aback. He looked at Bai Feiming in surprise, then said with delight in Japanese, "Sister, so you're Japanese too!"

As soon as he said it, Sato's expression changed, instantly turning extremely ugly.

We've been tricked!

He suddenly rushed to the side.

Bai Feiming was much faster than him. Before he could even take a second step, Bai Feiming had already severed Sato's left calf with a single slash.

Sato fell forward to the ground with a scream.

He then turned over and looked in horror at his left leg, which had lost its lower leg.

Bai Feiming snatched the diary from Sato's hand and said indifferently, "You repay kindness with enmity, you're worse than a pig or a dog. I even feel that cutting you would sully my knife."

Sato's eyes were filled with terror as she wailed frantically, "Sister, I'm not an adult yet, please spare me!"

Bai Feiming sneered, summoned the giant bird, and then jumped onto its back.

Soon, the giant bird carried Bai Feiming to a height of 100 meters in the air.

Sato quickly realized what was happening.

With the physique of a level two evolved being, he struggled to his feet, grabbed a piece of wood from the side to use as a cane, and frantically walked forward.

At that moment, his desire to live made him completely forget the excruciating pain in his legs.

He didn't want to be eaten by zombies.

He soon realized that this was too slow.

He spotted a giant tree, and then, using both his hands and his remaining foot, he climbed towards the top.

Soon, several M2s came to the tree and sniffed around.

Sato, still clinging to the tree trunk, is struggling to climb upwards.

He forgot that his body was covered in pieces of flesh and smeared with sticky blood.

Soon, the M2s noticed the strange thing above them and started climbing towards the top of the tree.

They were incredibly fast, like a few exceptionally agile monkeys.

As Sato climbed, he seemed to remember something, and he suddenly looked down, instantly spotting the M2s.

He broke down, screaming and crying wildly, "Go away! Go away!"

But those M2s were still climbing rapidly.

Soon, an M2 jumped onto Sato like a monkey, frantically scratching at him with its sharp claws.

Sato remembered that his robe was made of the hide of a mutated beast, and quickly shrank into it.

But this was of no use.

The M2s climbed up and began tearing and scratching at Sato's body.

Sato could no longer hold on and fell off the tree trunk with several M2s in tow.

A horrifying scream of pain emanated from his mouth.

On the bird's back, Bai Feiming quietly watched as Sato was carried by several M2s and ran towards the zombie horde behind them.

Then he took out the diary and turned the pages.

This diary records how Sato survived in the island nation, how he became an evolved being, how he became a level two evolved being, and how he was eventually rescued by an aircraft carrier from the United States, becoming a Knight of Apocalypse of the Chosen Cult...

From the entire diary, Bai Feiming knew that the island nation should be completely gone.

There are too many zombies and the place is too small.

There is no way to avoid it.

Perhaps there are still a few survivors on those high mountains.

After observing from the sky for a while, the horde of zombies seemed to have fallen into confusion due to the deaths of the three lures, and most of them stopped.

The zombies on the edge began to tentatively spread outwards.

Bai Feiming was about to ride the giant bird to meet Su Ziyu, but the next second, Bai Feiming froze.

Because she saw that the zombie horde had moved again.

And they were heading straight towards the survivor alliance that Su Ziyu had mentioned.

How is this possible?!

It's at least ten or twenty kilometers away from the city Su Ziyu mentioned.

How did these zombies know where the Survivors' Alliance was?!

Frowning, Bai Feiming spoke into the walkie-talkie: "Xiaoyu, I've taken care of those three evolved beings, but the zombie horde is still surging towards the city where the Survivors Alliance is located. There must be some other unforeseen event. Contact the leader of the Survivors Alliance as soon as possible and tell them to prepare for either battle or retreat."

"Okay, I understand."

Putting away the walkie-talkie, Bai Feiming directed the giant bird, observing the scale of the zombies below while scribbling and drawing in another notebook.

A dozen minutes later, Bai Feiming frowned and muttered to herself, "There are about 300,000 to 400,000 zombies. Hopefully, the Survivors Alliance has enough weapons, ammunition, and manpower."

Then, Bai Feiming took out a large map and studied it carefully.

A few minutes later, Gan Wei's voice came through the walkie-talkie.

"Sister Bai, Little Fish, can you hear me? Where are you?"

"Yes, Gan Wei, I can hear you. Go back to the Third Brigade headquarters now and tell them that the location of the Survivor Alliance has been found in Lan City! There are currently 300,000 to 400,000 zombies surging towards Lan City, less than 20 kilometers away. Have the Third Brigade advance towards Lan City, the sooner the better!"

"Also, return to Fuxing City and have Yan Yan lead those giant beasts toward Lan City, preferably to join up with the Third Brigade! With the speed of those giant beasts, catching up with the Third Brigade will not be a problem."

"Okay! I'll go now!"

Putting down the walkie-talkie, Bai Feiming frowned slightly as she looked at the zombies on the ground, which resembled ants.

At the speed of these zombies, it might only take them a little over two hours to reach Lan City.

Even at the fastest speed, it would probably take the Third Brigade and the behemoths four or five hours to arrive.

If the road conditions are bad, it will take even longer.

Can the survivor alliance in Lancheng hold out?

Lancheng.

The Hero City of today.

On the newly built wall, Yuan Weijie looked at the hardworking survivors and a group of generals and smiled with emotion, saying, "Thanks to everyone's hard work day and night, we were able to build the wall so quickly! In just a few more days, we will be able to complete the remaining few dozen meters, and our Hero City will finally have city defenses."

His face beamed with satisfaction and pride, and his eyes sparkled with anticipation for the future.

The generals also started talking all at once.

"Haha, with these five-meter-high city walls, plus countless ditches and traps, we don't need to worry too much about ordinary zombie attacks."

A burly general let out a hearty laugh.

"We still need to pull the net up; we have to be careful of those high-speed zombies."

"From now on, we'll focus on building city defenses and manufacturing ammunition. Our Hero City will only become stronger and stronger."
