Chapter 37 The Evolutionary Direction of Zombies

The tall zombie stood up, looked at Jiang Wu, and then started running in Jiang Wu's direction again.

The tall, sturdy, dark blue body, combined with the heavy footsteps, suddenly reminded Jiang Wu of a term: human tank.

Therefore, this type of zombie should be called a T-type zombie.

No, it should have already reached a higher level.

When its entire body turns bluish-black, it becomes a T2.

T2 is already so powerful, will T3 and T4 evolve in the future?

Before Jiang Wu could have any more time to think, the half-step T2 had already rushed in front of him.

Jiang Wu leaped to the side with his left foot, and Half Step T2 missed his target.

However, it still rushed forward a few meters due to inertia before stopping.

Jiang Wu found this scene amusing; he thought it was rather foolish.

To be honest, Jiang Wu was quite disdainful of its fighting style.

Compared to these half-T2 zombies, Jiang Wu is more afraid of zombies whose evolutionary direction leans towards agility.

Um, agile, let's call that kind of zombie an M-type zombie.

The M-type zombie back then directly injured Jiang Wu. What if the M-type evolves into the M2?

How fast would that be?

Half-step T2 charged over again, and Jiang Wu flashed to its back.

With a half-step T2 turn, it swept its claws horizontally.

Jiang Wu had anticipated this, and had already taken a few steps back, watching with amusement as it swept its hands away.

Since this stupid zombie couldn't hurt him for the time being, Jiang Wu didn't plan to leave. Instead, he carefully observed its weaknesses.

It's unrealistic to expect a direct headshot.

Firstly, it's too tall; if you jump up to chop it, you'll have less power.

Secondly, it will also use its hands to block harm.

Therefore, the best way is to attack its joints and dislocate its legs.

After glancing at the zombie's legs, which were now completely bluish-black, Jiang Wu gritted his teeth and decided to give it a try.

Once again dodging the half-step T2's grab attack, Jiang Wu charged towards the fire axe more than ten meters away, then crouched down.

After being repeatedly outmaneuvered by Jiang Wu, this half-step T2 got angry.

Upon seeing Jiang Wu crouching on the ground more than ten meters away, it immediately sprang up and pounced on Jiang Wu, who was still crouching.

Jiang Wu did this on purpose.

Given its size, the best way for it to rush over and grab you is to pounce on you.

Seeing that it had indeed fallen for the trick, Jiang Wu jumped to the side, and the Half-Step T2 fell heavily to the ground with a "thud".

Before it could get up, Jiang Wu rushed to Banbu T2's legs and swung the fire axe hard at the back of its legs.

"Ta-da!"

Jiang Wu gritted his teeth and chopped with all his might more than a dozen times, until his hands were numb from the impact.

Unfortunately, after only a dozen or so blows, this idiot half-step T2 got back up.

Fortunately, with the final axe blow, Jiang Wu finally managed to break through the dark blue, metallic-looking skin at the back of its leg, and dark red blood flowed from the wound.

He chopped with all his might more than a dozen times, only managing to tear a small opening in the zombie's skin...

Jiang Wu is truly numb.

The evolution of these zombies makes absolutely no sense.

How can flesh and skin be so hard?

Jiang Wu then ran to a spot more than ten meters away and squatted down.

Half-step T2 stupidly repeated the previous operation.

Jiang Wu was even more familiar with this move, and he immediately swung his axe at the wound he had just created more than a dozen times.

The gash in the skin had widened, and dark red blood was slowly flowing out.

The zombie stood up again, and Jiang Wu ran to a spot more than ten meters away and crouched down.

The same scenario played out again: the zombie fell to the ground for the third time, and Jiang Wu rushed forward and swung his axe more than a dozen times.

To Jiang Wu's relief, this time the axe made a "bang bang bang" sound when it struck the ground.

It was the sound of cutting into highly elastic plastic.

What I just cut was probably the tendon at the bend of the leg in the T2 position.

It was much easier to cut than the skin, and Jiang Wu was confident that with another round, he could sever the entire tendon.

If the tendons are torn, there's no way this zombie could still walk.

Seeing that it had gotten up again, Jiang Wu quickly ran more than ten meters away and squatted down, panting heavily as he waited for the next attack.

This is so damn tiring!

In another wave of the same rhythm, Jiang Wu frantically swung his axe more than a dozen times as if his life depended on it.

When it chopped down again, it made a "clink" sound, like it was hitting metal.

You've hit its bone!

Jiang Wu was excited and quickly switched to the back of the axe, smashing it hard against the back of his knee.

After only a few blows, the thigh and shin bones of the half-step T2 were clearly dislocated, but due to the obstruction of the surrounding muscles and skin, it was still impossible to remove the entire leg.

When it stood up again, it could no longer control its right lower leg and could only limp towards Jiang Wu, propelled by its right thigh.

This speed was already slower than that of an ordinary zombie. There was no need for it to fall down. Jiang Wu simply moved behind it and chopped at its left knee with a few axes.

He plans to cripple both of its lower legs.

After an unknown amount of time, a thunderclap sounded in the sky, and a zombie's roar echoed from the underground passage.

Jiang Wu mustered all his strength and swung his axe at the zombie's left knee again.

With another "ding," the left shinbone of this half-step T2 zombie shifted, leaving it crippled once more.

Unable to control its two lower legs, the zombie fell forward with a thud, roaring as it crawled on the ground with its two hands.

"I'll call you M!" Jiang Wu raised his axe high with both hands, rushed forward, and smashed the axe hard on its forehead.

The immense recoil caused Jiang Wu's hands to go numb.
