After taking one last look at Dahei's corpse, Jiang Wu headed back to the military camp.
There, Wu Ming and several trusted confidants were already counting the number of weapons.
The military camp, filled with zombie corpses, was permeated with a strong, indescribable stench.
As Jiang Wu approached the military camp, he was immediately overwhelmed by the strong stench.
I could only hold my breath.
A field team member on duty nearby quickly ran over and handed Jiang Wu a gas mask.
Jiang Wu nodded approvingly to his team members.
This made the team member grin from ear to ear, and he said with a wide smile, "Chief, Captain Wu and the others are in the ammunition depot. Go into the military camp and keep going inwards; they're in the cave on the far right."
Jiang Wu put on a gas mask and smiled, "Well done, keep up the good work."
"Yes! Thank you, leader!" The team member shouted excitedly because of Jiang Wu's praise.
After Jiang Wu jumped onto the zombie corpse and into the military camp, several other team members on guard duty gathered around.
"Damn it! You brat, I clearly prepared that gas mask, how could you just grab it and run away?"
"Didn't you see the leader frowning? You didn't even know to send it over immediately. Is it my fault for not reacting quickly enough?"
"What did the chief just say to you?"
"They said I did a good job!"
"...You're awesome!"
"Hahaha......"
As the number of people at the base increased and the number of field team members surged, Jiang Wu had less and less communication with ordinary team members.
This also made Jiang Wu increasingly mysterious in the eyes of these ordinary team members.
Fight giant crocodiles, kill giant pythons, or charge into hordes of zombies and easily slaughter countless zombies.
For example, last night he went deep into the rear of the zombie horde alone and single-handedly launched a counter-encirclement, ultimately annihilating all the zombies.
These achievements, passed down by word of mouth, made Jiang Wu's strength seem increasingly unfathomable.
Moreover, he is not only powerful as an individual.
Under Jiang Wu's leadership, they killed so many zombies and recaptured so many villages and towns, yet the field team suffered almost zero casualties.
Such a record is simply unbelievable!
Jiang Wu has become a leader whom all team members genuinely respect!
A leader who is humane, cares for his subordinates, and sympathizes with the weak, yet is also incredibly powerful!
Receiving praise from Jiang Wu would make any field team member beam with joy.
The military camp was quite large, especially the open area in the middle, which was at least the size of several football fields.
There were no guard posts as I had imagined; the surrounding buildings were mostly low-rise houses arranged in neat rows.
The buildings all appear to be for everyday activities; warehouses and the like are clearly not located outside.
Jiang Wu stepped over the zombie corpses and continued walking inside.
The zombie's severed limbs almost completely filled the area within sight.
Jiang Wu felt as if he were in a bloody hell.
As Jiang Wu walked to the latter part of the military camp, he unexpectedly looked at the nine huge air-raid shelter-shaped caves deep inside the camp.
When observing this area from a mountain peak a kilometer away, only four such caves were visible.
I guessed at the time that this was the real core area of the military camp.
It's probably full of good stuff!
Now that we've come this far, we realize there are actually nine such caves!
Jiang Wu arrived at the rightmost cave entrance.
One of the officers on duty stood ramrod straight, saluted, and shouted, "Leader!"
Jiang Wu nodded in acknowledgment and went straight inside.
The cave was well-lit, turning the cement floor and walls a bright white.
After passing through several iron fences, we entered a rectangular cement house built inside a cave.
The moment Jiang Wu entered the cement room, he was shocked by the mountain of ammunition boxes inside.
These ammunition boxes were stacked neatly and tightly together, almost completely filling the long walls on both sides.
This is many times more than the ammunition boxes in a prison!
How many bullets are needed?
Upon seeing Jiang Wu, Wu Ming excitedly approached and said, "Chief, preliminary statistics show that there are over 2 million rounds of various types of bullets inside this cave. We don't need to worry about bullets for now!"
Jiang Wu suppressed his excitement and nodded calmly.
After scanning the area, Jiang Wu's pupils suddenly contracted.
He walked quickly to an open ammunition box.
They took out a bullet that was more than ten centimeters long.
A bullet, thicker than my thumb and at least 15 centimeters long.
This was definitely the biggest bullet Jiang Wu had ever seen.
Bullets like those could probably blow a T2's head off!
“Chief, these are bullets for a 30mm autocannon. I just checked other caves, and only the autocannons on the tracked armored vehicles are compatible with these bullets,” Wu Ming explained from the side.
Jiang Wu asked, "How many of these bullets are there?"
"A rough estimate is 100,000!"
"How many of those tracked armored vehicles are there?"
"We only found four, but there's a problem: nobody knows how to use them."
At this point, Wu Ming looked somewhat helpless.
Jiang Wu frowned and looked at Luo Zhongli, asking, "You can't drive either?"
Luo Zhongli shook his head and said seriously, "The VN12 tracked armored vehicle is easy to drive, but it is still different from ordinary cars. Moreover, the operation of the machine gun mounted on it is also a problem."
Jiang Wu pondered for a moment and said, "Where is the armored vehicle? Take me to see it."
Wu Ming led the way, and the group left the ammunition depot.
As Jiang Wu passed another cave entrance, he glanced inside and was immediately drawn to the dark green, boxy truck parked there.
