Chapter 130 Sheng Wanwan is the Savior

"His Majesty has arrived!"

Consort Rou and Lady Chu were chatting when a sharp voice suddenly interrupted their conversation. The two women stood up abruptly and bowed to the Emperor.

The emperor of the Great Yan Kingdom was named Si Nantian. He was over fifty years old, but due to his good health, he looked like a man in his early forties. He wore a bright yellow dragon robe, exuding majesty and nobility, and his brows revealed a natural kingly aura.

"Rise." Si Nantian waved his hand, his gaze sweeping around the hall before finally settling on Sheng Wanwan. "This is the youngest daughter of the Sheng family, Sheng Wanwan?"

Consort Rou stood up, smiling and nodding, "Your Majesty, it is indeed her. Wanwan was just telling me that she can cure Ruier's illness. I was just thinking of asking Your Majesty for an imperial decree allowing Wanwan to come to the palace often to treat Ruier!"

"Yes! With Fairy Wanwan here, Rui'er's body will surely recover. I grant your request!"

When Si Nantian said this, his eyes were burning with passion as he looked at Sheng Wanwan.

He finally found the savior that Master Huiyuan had prophesied.

Several years ago, Master Huiyuan observed the celestial phenomena at night and discovered that the imperial star, which represented the fortune of the Great Yan Kingdom, was gradually dimming, which foreshadowed that the Great Yan Kingdom would soon be overthrown.

Master Huiyuan once told him, "When the imperial star falls, it will be the time of the Great Yan Kingdom's demise. And this demise is inevitable."

Master Huiyuan was a highly accomplished monk, and his prophecies had never been wrong. At that time, he had already given up hope.

But a year ago, Master Huiyuan suddenly found him and told him that the destined person who could save the Great Yan Kingdom had appeared.

That person was from another world, a savior chosen by Heaven, and his rebirth in the Great Yan Kingdom was truly a blessing for the Great Yan Kingdom.

Only with her existence could the Great Yan Kingdom be saved, and could it be spared from the chaos of war that engulfed the world.

So for more than a year, he had been observing the children of the Great Yan Kingdom, but he had not found any child to be special.

Until yesterday, he heard about Sheng Wanwan, a little baby who could understand animal language, command ghosts, and possess extraordinary medical skills.

Who else, besides the savior he is looking for, could possess such abilities at such a young age?

"Are you called Wanwan? Since you were able to save Ruier, then this token is for you! With this token, you can freely enter and leave the palace!"

Si Nantian smiled and pulled a token from his waist and handed it to Sheng Wanwan, his tone as gentle as could be.

When Chu Shi and Rou Fei saw that Si Nantian was so kind to Sheng Wanwan, they were both taken aback.

Lady Chu never expected the emperor to be so gentle with Wanwan. You see, although the emperor was a benevolent ruler, he was usually serious and imposing, and he had never been so kind to his own princes and princesses.

Consort Rou was astonished that the Emperor would so easily hand over the token representing his imperial identity. This token signified the Emperor himself, and whoever saw it was as if the Emperor were present in person. The token held immense authority; even the Empress would treat it with utmost respect.

Sheng Wanwan was unaware of the significance of the token. Looking at the golden token in her hand, with a "Heaven" character engraved on it in a flamboyant style, she knew that this thing was extraordinary.

So, Sheng Wanwan obediently bowed and thanked him, saying in her childish voice, "Wanwan thanks Uncle Emperor."

Looking at her adorable and obedient appearance, Si Nantian's joy grew even stronger. "No need to thank me. If Wanwan can cure Ruier, I will reward her handsomely!"

As he spoke, he turned to Madam Chu, "Madam Sheng, you have truly raised a fine daughter!"

Madam Chu hurriedly bowed, trembling with fear, "Your Majesty flatters me. Wanwan is still young, and it is truly an honor for my family to receive such favor from Your Majesty."

Si Nantian waved his hand, indicating that Chu Shi did not need to be so polite, and then turned to Sheng Wanwan, "Wanwan, I have heard that you can understand the language of beasts, command ghosts, and have extraordinary medical skills. I am very curious. I wonder if Wanwan could demonstrate some of these skills to me?"

Although Si Nantian knew that Sheng Wanwan was most likely the savior Master Huiyuan had spoken of, he still wanted to verify it with his own eyes.

Sheng Wanwan smiled slightly and nodded upon hearing this.

"Then Wanwan will find my bird friends and sing a song for Uncle Emperor."

As she spoke, she looked outside the palace. It was springtime, and birds were flying by outside the palace from time to time. Sheng Wanwan ran outside the palace, and her clear, bell-like voice rang out: "Little birds, come quickly! Uncle Emperor wants to hear you sing!"

As Sheng Wanwan's call faded, the birds that had been circling in the air seemed to receive a summons and fluttered their wings to fly over. They perched on the eaves of the corridors or landed by the window frames, and in an instant, the entire palace was surrounded by all kinds of birds.

"Chirp, chirp—" the birds began to chirp merrily, as if they were communicating with each other.

Immediately afterwards, a melodious bird song rang out, sounding just like singing.

Si Nantian watched this scene, his eyes gleaming with amazement and admiration. He hadn't expected Sheng Wanwan to actually be able to command so many birds to serve her; this ability was truly astonishing.

Consort Rou was also stunned, and her admiration for Sheng Wanwan increased even more, while also strengthening her determination to befriend her.

"Wanwan, you have truly broadened my horizons! Hahaha..." Sheng Wanwan's display of skill further convinced Si Nantian of her identity.

He was overjoyed that the Great Yan Kingdom was saved.

"Wanwan thanks Your Majesty for the compliment." Sheng Wanwan smiled slightly, her young face full of humility. She looked up at the birds that were still singing, waved her hand gently, and the birds, as if receiving a command, stopped singing and flew orderly into the sky.

This scene amazed Si Nantian and the others. Such precise control was probably beyond the reach of even the Holy Maiden of the Great Liang Kingdom.

"Alright, Wanwan, you can play here! Your Uncle Emperor has some business to attend to, so he'll be leaving now!"

Si Nantian was overjoyed because the heavy weight that had been pressing on his heart for many years had been lifted, and a smile played on his lips as he spoke.

"Alright! Goodbye, Uncle Emperor!"

Sheng Wanwan politely waved to Si Nantian, who then left Roufu Palace with a slight smile on his lips.

Consort Rou's gaze towards Sheng Wanwan was different this time. Having navigated the palace for many years, she knew the Emperor's temperament all too well! The Emperor's unusual attitude towards Wanwan today must have something to do with it.

Regardless of any oddities, Sheng Wanwan is definitely someone worth befriending. If Ruier can befriend Wanwan, then the Emperor will surely value his daughter as well.

Thinking of this, Consort Rou smiled and said:

"Wanwan, your sister Rui'er will be finishing her get out of class soon. Don't leave at noon. Take a stroll around the palace with your sister Rui'er. Right now, the flowers in the Imperial Garden are in full bloom. You can play in the garden with your sister Rui'er!"

Since she was five years old, Si Ruier has been studying at the Inner Academy, which is dedicated to teaching princesses.
