As Sheng Lingtian spoke, he bowed to Si Mingye and prepared to take Sheng Wanwan away.
Sheng Wanwan rolled her eyes at him, then buried herself in Si Mingye's arms.
"Crown Prince, please take me back? I hate him!"
Looking at the weak little girl in his arms, Si Mingye felt a strong urge to protect her. He glanced coldly at Sheng Lingtian, then said gently to Sheng Wanwan, "Okay, I'll take you back."
Sheng Lingtian stood awkwardly to the side, his elation dampened by a bucket of cold water. He watched his daughter nestled tightly in Si Mingye's arms, his heart filled with mixed emotions.
He suddenly realized that he seemed to have never paid attention to this daughter, and it seemed quite normal that his daughter was not close to him!
However, he wasn't discouraged. After all, she was his own daughter. If he treated her well in the future, he was sure she would become closer to him...
When he gets back, he has to tell the Sheng family that they have to treat Sheng Wanwan like an ancestor!
Thinking of this, Sheng Lingtian moved closer to Si Nantian and stood next to the emperor without saying a word.
He thought that since his daughter had made such a great contribution, he should reward her!
But Si Nantian only glanced at him before turning and leaving.
