"Let's go! Let's go into the woods and see what's going on!"
Sheng Wanwan stood up with a smile, and then led everyone into the depths of the forest.
Once this maze-like formation is activated, no matter which direction the army goes, they will eventually reach the vicinity of the formation's core, where tens of thousands of beasts await them...
Sheng Wanwan rode on the back of the white tiger, with Feng Que perched on her shoulder.
The others rode their horses through the primeval forest until they reached the vicinity of the ancient tree before stopping.
When Si Mingye and the four Dark Guards saw the dense mass of animals quietly waiting in place, like soldiers awaiting the arrival of their king, their eyes widened in surprise.
They looked at the animals, including bears, wolves, leopards and other ferocious beasts, as well as groups of small animals such as rats, scorpions and venomous snakes, all of which were lying obediently on the ground, motionless, as if waiting for something.
"Is this the art of beast taming?" Si Mingye asked in astonishment.
“Yes,” Sheng Wenjin replied, “If Your Highness wishes to learn, I can teach you when I have time.”
"Good!" Si Mingye nodded. The Beast Taming Technique was too powerful. If he could do it too, then the Great Yan Kingdom could enjoy long-term peace and stability, and no country would dare to invade.
After an unknown amount of time, the group heard the sound of horses' hooves and the footsteps of a large army in the distance, clearly indicating that Prince Rui's troops had arrived nearby.
Soon, the soldiers came into view.
Upon seeing the massive herd of beasts ahead, they were all terrified, their faces turning pale, and they immediately reined in their horses and stopped.
"What the hell is this? How come there are so many ferocious beasts here?"
"Oh my god, what should we do?"
Prince Rui's troops began to panic. They had never encountered such a situation before and had no idea how to deal with it.
At that moment, Sheng Wanwan jumped down from the white tiger's back, walked to the front of the herd, and raised her hand. All the beasts looked at her, as if awaiting her command.
"Go!" Sheng Wanwan shouted.
Instantly, all the ferocious beasts charged towards Prince Rui's army like arrows released from a bow. Prince Rui's army was terrified; they tried to resist, but were quickly routed under the beasts' attack.
The four secret guards were stunned by what they saw. They had never witnessed such a shocking scene, nor had they ever imagined that Sheng Wanwan possessed such powerful abilities.
"That's amazing!" Shadow exclaimed.
"Yes, the goddess truly lives up to her name!" the other guards echoed.
King Rui's army was being chased by a herd of beasts, running frantically. The large beasts would catch up, but the small beasts ignored them and waited quietly in place.
What terrified Prince Rui's army was that no matter how they fled or in which direction they ran, they could not escape this forest.
Moreover, no matter where they go, they always return to the herd's gathering place.
"Brothers, it's that little girl! That little girl can control beasts! If we kill her, these wild beasts will naturally scatter! Otherwise, we'll all die here! Follow me and charge in, kill the little girl!"
A black-clad leader on horseback shouted loudly.
Upon receiving the order, everyone rushed inside with all their might.
But they couldn't get through at all. Swarms of snakes, rats, and scorpions surrounded Sheng Wanwan and the others.
Once someone gets close, their bodies are covered with all sorts of small animals, and they can turn into a pile of bones in an instant.
The ground was stained red with blood, and the strong smell of blood filled the air.
Upon seeing this, the leader of the men in black leaped off his horse and, using his lightness skill to propel himself along the pile of corpses, charged toward the little child.
Several other men in black, skilled in light-footed movements, followed suit, using the corpses as leverage to rush towards Sheng Wanwan.
Upon seeing this, Sheng Wenjin, Si Mingye, and the four secret guards all drew their longswords, ready to intercept and kill.
But before those black-clad figures could reach Sheng Wanwan, they were burned to ashes by raging flames.
The flames gradually subsided, leaving only the acrid smell in the air and ashes scattered on the ground. The black-clad leader and several other black-clad experts had completely vanished, as if they had never existed.
"It's...it's Phoenix Palace!" Shadow exclaimed, pointing to the little phoenix on Sheng Wanwan's shoulder, "It's breathing fire!"
Everyone turned to look at Feng Que, who stood proudly upright, its small eyes gleaming with disdain. The flames from earlier had come from its mouth.
"Hmph! This is what happens when you dare to disrespect your master!" Feng Que sneered, his voice filled with authority.
Sheng Wanwan smiled and patted Feng Que's head to express her gratitude.
King Rui's army had completely collapsed. Looking at the ashes and the corpses of their comrades, their fear reached its peak.
They began to flee in all directions, but no matter how they fled, they could not escape this forest shrouded in ferocious beasts and mysterious forces.
The forest was filled with screams, cries for help, and wails...
The sounds gradually faded away from darkness until dawn.
As night faded, the morning light filtered through the treetops and fell into the forest, illuminating the ravaged battlefield.
The air was thick with the stench of blood, and the ground was littered with severed limbs and broken weapons.
Prince Rui's army had been completely routed, with none surviving.
Under Sheng Wanwan's command, the beasts retreated in an orderly fashion into the depths of the forest.
By this time, the grain transport team had already entered the primeval forest.
They were terrified when they saw the weapons scattered along the way and the corpses all over the ground.
When they learned that all of this was the work of various animals in the forest, they were filled with awe for Sheng Wanwan.
With such a guardian goddess in their Great Yan Kingdom, which country would dare to be so blind as to invade them!
When the grain transport team passed through the primeval forest where ferocious beasts and monsters roamed freely, they actually made it through safely.
And because the primeval forest was so vast, their team camped there for two nights.
And so, there were no ferocious beasts or monsters attacking them.
There would even be wild beasts bringing back pheasants, rabbits, and other prey they had hunted, and dropping them at Sheng Wanwan's feet.
Everyone assumed that Sheng Wanwan was naturally close to animals, but that was not the case. Those wild beasts were simply instinctively showing respect to their king.
The little yellow chick that always stood on Sheng Wanwan's shoulder.
That's right! In its heyday, Fengque was the king of this primeval forest.
It was once the king of the entire forest, and though it has become smaller and weaker, its divine beast bloodline remains powerful, allowing it to command all other beasts, making them submit to it and provide for its needs...
