Chapter 201 Mu Rou'er in Hell

Looking at Sheng Wanwan's "I'm very magnanimous" demeanor, the King of Hell couldn't help but twitch his lips. He knew that this little troublemaker was not easy to deal with, but he had no choice but to bite the bullet and investigate.

"Alright, since you put it that way, I'll send someone to investigate. But if they can't find anything wrong, then you'll have to think of another way," King Yama said helplessly.

"Hehe, thank you so much, Grandpa Yama! I knew you were the best!" Sheng Wanwan instantly put on a sweet smile, which made Grandpa Yama's heart tremble.

In the days that followed, Sheng Wanwan stayed at the Yama Palace, urging the King of Hell to investigate the case every day. And the King of Hell did indeed send a judge to carefully examine the Book of Life and Death.

This inspection revealed numerous signs of tampering in the Book of Life and Death. The judge was shocked and immediately reported the matter to King Yama. King Yama was equally astonished; he hadn't expected anyone to dare tamper with the underworld.

"Grandpa Yama, you see, I wasn't wrong, was I? There are huge loopholes in the management of your underworld right now!" Sheng Wanwan said, as if she had expected this all along.

The King of Hell looked embarrassed, but since things had come to this, he could only try to find a solution as soon as possible. So, he immediately summoned all the high-ranking officials of the Underworld to discuss how to repair the Book of Life and Death and strengthen the security management of the Underworld.

After much trouble, the Book of Life and Death was finally repaired, and the mastermind behind the alteration was exposed. It turned out that a judge's right-hand man colluded with a Taoist priest in the mortal world to help wealthy families borrow and change their fate.

The Taoist priest, having committed numerous evil deeds in his lifetime, is now being punished in the eighteenth level of hell.

It is said that in his lifetime he not only raised evil spirits to harm people, but also used soul-locking jade to collect the souls of infants, and then refined those souls into ghost children to continue to harm children.

Sheng Wanwan knew who it was as soon as she heard it. It must be the abbot of Qingyun Temple. Mu Rou'er bought the Soul-Locking Jade from him, and the little ghost inside the Soul-Locking Jade almost killed her!

It seems that Mu Rou'er was undoubtedly the one who caused my elder brother to fall into a coma...

"Grandpa Yama, do you know a woman named Mu Rou'er? Is she in the eighteenth level of hell right now?"

"I asked in a childish voice."

"Do you know Mu Rou'er? There are many ghosts in hell. If you want to find someone named Mu Rou'er, I can help you look her up!" After spending these few days together, the old Yama King was no longer so afraid of Sheng Wanwan.

On the contrary, I felt that although this child was very capable, he never put on airs.

He calls him and the judge "Grandpa," Black and White Impermanence, Ox-Head and Horse-Face "Uncle," and other ghost messengers "Big Brother Ghost Messenger"...

She was beautiful and had a sweet tongue, so all the ghost messengers in the Underworld liked her very much.

Even the old King Yama thought his future self was a terrible person. How could he possibly lay a hand on such an adorable little ancestor? He even wanted to throw him into the eighteenth level of hell!

No wonder the little ancestor beat him up! He felt that his future self being beaten up by the little ancestor was not innocent at all...

"Then I'll have to trouble you, Grandpa Yama!" Sheng Wanwan said with a sweet smile.

King Yama nodded and immediately sent his men to search for Mu Rou'er's whereabouts. Not long after, news came that Mu Rou'er was indeed suffering in the eighteenth level of hell.

Upon hearing this news, a glint of light flashed in Sheng Wanwan's eyes. She stood up and said to King Yama, "Grandpa Yama, I want to go to the eighteenth level of hell to see her."

King Yama frowned slightly. The eighteen levels of hell were no fun place; the ghosts there suffered all sorts of tortures in an extremely harsh environment. The scenes were incredibly gory, definitely not suitable for a cute little baby like Sheng Wanwan to watch!

"That place is terrifying! Maybe we shouldn't go."

"Terrifying? Don't you think so? Grandpa Yama, don't worry about me, I know that place well! I'll be right back!"

As soon as Sheng Wanwan finished speaking, she took off running towards the eighteenth level of hell with her short legs...

When Yama saw Sheng Wanwan's excited appearance, he was surprised to realize that he had mistaken her for an ordinary child.

In his later life, he served as a ghost messenger here and was almost thrown into the eighteenth level of hell by his own hands. How could he be so easily frightened!

...

Upon arriving at the entrance to the Eighteenth Level of Hell, Sheng Wanwan felt an eerie and terrifying aura wash over her. She took a deep breath and stepped into this terrifying world.

The scenes of hell were familiar to her; various cruel tortures were inflicting brutal torment on the ghosts. She walked past them without glancing at them.

The piercing screams echoed throughout the entire hell, but Sheng Wanwan seemed not to hear them, continuing her search for Mu Rou'er's figure as she descended.

Finally, in one of the layers of hell, she saw Mu Rou'er suffering. Mu Rou'er's soul had been tormented beyond repair, and her once beautiful face was now twisted and hideous.

She was bound to a bronze pillar, and around her were raging flames—not ordinary fire, but karmic fire from hell, capable of scorching the soul.

Mu Rou'er's face was filled with pain, and her eyes were filled with fear and pleading.

As the copper pillar glowed red-hot, her soul seemed to be branded with a hot iron, emitting a sizzling sound and heart-wrenching screams.

Sheng Wanwan watched all this coldly, without a trace of sympathy. She knew clearly that this was the bitter fruit Mu Rou'er had sown herself, and the suffering she was enduring was all her own choice.

"Is she only tortured on this level?" Sheng Wanwan asked the ghost messengers in the Copper Pillar Hell.

"This woman committed countless evil deeds in her life. Not only here, but also in the Hell of Tongue-Pulling, the Hell of Iron Trees, the Hell of Steaming Baskets, the Hell of Blood Pools, and so on... She will have to go through all of them," the ghost messenger replied respectfully. Since even the King of Hell treated the little child before him with utmost respect, the messenger dared not show the slightest negligence.
