Chapter 216 Zhong Kui Eats Ghosts, Wanwan Displays Her Supernatural Powers

As soon as Chu Wanwan finished speaking, a rumbling sound came from the Yin-Yang Path. Immediately afterwards, a dark figure leaped out from the Yin-Yang Path and stood steadily beside Chu Wanwan.

The visitor was none other than Zhong Kui.

He was dressed in a long black robe, the hem of which seemed to carry a chilling wind as it fluttered.

His figure was tall and thin, standing in the wind like a withered tree, giving people a strange yet majestic feeling.

Zhong Kui's face was extremely ugly, with an unhealthy gray-green skin covered with uneven scars and pockmarks, which instilled fear in people at first sight.

His eyes were deep and cold, his gaze sharp as a knife, as if they could pierce through all appearances and strike straight at the heart.

His hair was long and disheveled, like weeds in the wilderness, moving even without wind, exuding a chilling aura. The deep scar on his forehead, as if slashed by something sharp, sent shivers down one's spine.

The appearance of Zhong Kui made the surrounding air seem to freeze.

"What...what is that thing? It looks terrifying!"

"It was summoned by the Little Goddess; it looks like Zhong Kui!"

"Why does Zhong Kui look different from the portrait? He's even uglier than in the portrait!"

"..."

Zhong Kui was immediately displeased when the soldiers called him ugly. But seeing the little child in front of him, he dared not show his displeasure.

As expected of the little ancestor that even the King of Hell fears, his cultivation level has become so high that even he can't see it clearly after only a few days!

"Hehehe... Little ancestor, what did you call me here for?"

Zhong Kui smiled at Chu Wanwan like a man-eating flower...

"Look at those! Can you even eat them?" Chu Wanwan asked, pointing to the demons on the battlefield that had begun to tear at the soldiers.

"How can there be so many demons in the human world? Weren't demons sealed in the Demon Abyss? I can't eat demons, but as for evil spirits! I'll take them all, no matter how many there are!"

Zhong Kui looked at the evil spirits on the battlefield, his mouth practically watering.

For him, evil spirits were not only delicious, but more importantly, they could enhance his demonic power, making them a great tonic.

"Go ahead! Just eat it all and then go straight home!" Chu Wanwan said sweetly.

Upon hearing this, Zhong Kui rushed towards the horde of evil spirits without saying a word.

He stood in the middle of the battlefield, his mouth wide open, and instantly, a powerful suction force surged from his mouth, like an invisible vortex, drawing in the surrounding evil spirits.

The evil spirits were powerless against this suction force, like fallen leaves swept up by a gale, and were swallowed by Zhong Kui. His figure moved swiftly across the battlefield, and wherever he went, the evil spirits there were quickly wiped out.

The cultivators were all dumbfounded by what they saw. They had been struggling to fight the evil spirits, but now they saw Zhong Kui devouring them like a wolf among sheep. The shock in their hearts was beyond words.

The little goddess Wanwan is truly powerful; she can even summon Zhong Kui to help her...

Chu Wanwan stood calmly to the side, as if all of this was within her expectations. She watched Zhong Kui devour the evil spirits, knowing in her heart that these evil spirits were no longer a threat.

Soon after, Zhong Kui devoured all the evil spirits on the battlefield. Satisfied, he patted his belly, let out a burp, and then vanished in a wisp of black smoke.

Before leaving, they also dragged out the soul of the evil cultivator who used the soul-summoning banner and took him directly back to the underworld for judgment.

The warriors cheered with joy; now they only needed to focus on dealing with the demons.

Although the demons appear numerous, there are actually only a little over ten thousand of them. However, they are tall and strong, with one demon being equivalent to five or six mortals. Therefore, despite having an army of nearly sixty thousand in the mountains, dealing with the demons is still quite difficult.

Chu Wanwan stood there for a while and, seeing that the human side was no match, flew directly into the air. With a wave of her small hand, all the demons, who were over three meters tall, took flight.

They screamed in terror, their tall bodies struggling helplessly in the air, completely unable to control their movements.

This situation was completely unfamiliar to them, because the demons were huge and powerful, and they had always dominated battles on the ground. They never imagined that one day they would be thrown into the air like this, powerless to resist.

Chu Wanwan watched the demons tremble in the air, feeling no pity whatsoever. She knew that if these demons won, they would show no mercy to humans.

On the battlefield, it's either you die or I live.

With another wave of her small hand, the demonic energy of the demons was drawn by a tremendous force, all flying towards Chu Wanwan in mid-air. The moment the demonic energy touched Chu Wanwan, it was instantly transformed into spiritual energy and absorbed by her.

The demons, whose demonic energy had been drained, screamed and vanished into nothingness.

The soldiers below were stunned by the sight of the little figure in mid-air.

Amazing! Incredibly powerful!

They struggled to kill even one demon, but the little goddess killed tens of thousands of demons all by herself!

These tens of thousands of demons flew into the air, covering the sky, and in the blink of an eye, they all disappeared without a trace, not even leaving a speck of ashes...

The witch's eyes turned red when she saw her entire tribe wiped out!

She deflected Si Mingye's attack with her sword, leaped to Chu Wanwan's side, and slashed at Chu Wanwan with her sword.

Chu Wanwan casually pointed, and the witch's longsword turned into a wisp of smoke and vanished into the air. The witch stared in astonishment at her empty hand, unable to believe that the longsword she had just been gripping had simply disappeared.

Chu Wanwan looked at the witch calmly, her eyes showing no emotion. She had just neutralized the witch's attack with a mere flick of her finger, a feat that shocked everyone present.

The witch's eyes widened; she knew she was no match for the little girl. However, as a member of the demon race, she would never give up easily. She gritted her teeth, clenched her fists, and prepared to attack again.

However, Chu Wanwan didn't give her a chance. The little girl flipped her hand, and a powerful force surged from her palm, instantly freezing the witch in place, unable to move.

"Who...who exactly are you? The last time I saw you, you didn't have this kind of strength! How could this be? How could you have improved so quickly?" the witch asked, her tone filled with fear and confusion.

"Me? Chu Wanwan, the little goddess who protects the Great Yan Kingdom! As for why I've progressed so quickly, I have to thank your Demon Lord for offering his magic power!"

Chu Wanwan answered earnestly in her childish voice.

"What? You killed the Demon Lord?" The witch asked Wen Wan in shock.

Not long ago, this little kid couldn't even beat me, how could this be? The Demon Lord's strength is already considered to be half a step immortal, how could such a small kid in front of me possibly kill the Demon Lord?

"You got it right! But there's no reward! Now I'm asking you, where exactly are Si Mingchen and his army? Did you set up a barrier around your hideout?"
