Chapter 230 Spatial Rift

Chu Wanwan turned around and saw a woman dressed in white cultivation robes looking at her coldly, her face full of disdain and arrogance. Behind this woman were several men dressed similarly, who appeared to be disciples of a cultivation sect.

Chu Wanwan frowned slightly. She had painstakingly searched for and picked this Purple Frost Flower; how could she easily give it away to someone else? So, she replied calmly, "I found this Purple Frost Flower first, and I picked it first. Why should I give it to you?"

The woman sneered and said, "In this Misty Forest, everything is determined by strength. You, a mere third-level Immortal Ascension Realm cultivator, dare to try and steal from me? You're courting death!"

Chu Wanwan's heart skipped a beat; she hadn't expected this woman to be able to discern her cultivation level. She must be above her. However, she wasn't afraid. Although her cultivation was only at the third level of the Ascension Realm, her combat experience and skills far surpassed those of ordinary people. Even if she couldn't win, it didn't matter; she could simply hide in her spatial dimension.

"Then let's see if you have the ability to take it," Chu Wanwan said coldly, while preparing for battle.

Seeing this, a flash of anger crossed the woman's face. She hadn't expected this seemingly weak child to dare to talk back to her like that. So, she waved her hand, and her attendants immediately surrounded her.

A battle was about to break out, but Chu Wanwan showed no fear. She moved nimbly through the crowd, each strike hitting her enemy's vitals with deadly accuracy. Although the disciples of the immortal sects were not weak, they appeared utterly vulnerable before Chu Wanwan.

Soon, Chu Wanwan knocked the disciples of the immortal sect to the ground one by one. The woman was shocked to see this; she hadn't expected this seemingly weak woman to possess such great strength.

The woman drew her long sword from her waist and, without a word, attacked Chu Wanwan. Her sword crackled with lightning, seemingly carrying the power of thunder. The sword flashed like lightning, instantly slicing through the air, aiming straight for Chu Wanwan's throat.

A cold glint flashed in Chu Wanwan's eyes. She dodged the sword with a swift movement. At the same time, she summoned the Flowing Light Sword and clashed with the opponent's longsword.

"Clang!"

The two swords clashed, producing a metallic clang. The woman felt a sudden numbness in her arm, and her sword nearly slipped from her grasp. She stared at Chu Wanwan in shock, never expecting this seemingly weak child to possess such formidable strength.

Chu Wanwan did not stop. She moved like the wind, launching a series of attacks. Each flash of sword light nearly overwhelmed her opponent. Although the woman's cultivation was not low, she seemed to be struggling under Chu Wanwan's fierce onslaught.

Finally, in a fierce exchange, Chu Wanwan knocked the woman's sword away with a single strike, the tip pointing directly at her throat. The woman stared at Chu Wanwan in terror, her face ashen.

"You lost," Chu Wanwan said calmly.

The woman, shocked and unwilling, gritted her teeth and said, "Who...who are you? How dare you be an enemy of my Qingyang Sect!"

Chu Wanwan gave a cold laugh and said, "I'm just a passing cultivator. I discovered this Purple Frost Flower first, so it should rightfully belong to me. What, does your Qingyang Sect intend to forcibly seize it?"

Upon hearing the words "Qingyang Sect," the cultivators who had been drawn by the sounds of fighting began to whisper among themselves.

"Qingyang Sect is a well-known sect in this area. Most of its disciples are arrogant and domineering, but they do have considerable strength."

This kid looks young, but he's quite impressive!

"What good is being powerful? The Qingyang Sect has always been unreasonable and protective of its own. We'll probably face their retaliation in the future..."

"Sigh! She's just unlucky. These past few days, strange phenomena have appeared in Misty Mountain, attracting many powerful figures at the second and even third levels of the Heavenly Realm. Otherwise, this little one wouldn't have encountered the cultivators from the Azure Sun Sect..."

Chu Wanwan remained unmoved by the cultivators' discussions.

Unless they are gods, no matter how powerful a celestial cultivator is, they cannot harm her. She can hide in her spatial dimension at any time, and no one can hurt her.

Hearing these comments, the woman's face grew even darker. As a disciple of the Qingyang Sect, when had she ever suffered such humiliation? To be defeated in front of so many people by a minor cultivator she had previously disregarded was a stain on her life!

"Fine, very well," the woman said bitterly. "We, the Qingyang Sect, will remember this debt. Just you wait and see!"

After saying that, she waved her hand and led her fellow disciples, who were lying on the ground, away in a disheveled state.

Chu Wanwan watched their retreating figures, feeling little fear. She was already accustomed to the trials and battles of the lower realms and didn't take this small-scale conflict to heart. Besides, she had her own space as a way out.

Upon seeing this, the surrounding cultivators also headed towards the place where the strange phenomenon had occurred.

Chu Wanwan tossed the Purple Frost Flower into her spatial storage and followed along to join the fun...

When Chu Wanwan arrived at the Misty Mountains, she saw many immortal cultivators standing at the foot of the mountain.

They all looked up at the sky above the Misty Mountains, their faces showing surprise and anticipation.

Chu Wanwan also looked up curiously and saw a huge vortex in the sky above the mountain peak, slowly rotating and emitting a mesmerizing seven-colored light.

"What is this...?" Chu Wanwan murmured in surprise.

"This is a spatial rift, usually a passage connecting two different spaces, but it is not stable and can disappear or change at any time. Moreover, spatial rifts contain powerful spatial forces, and one can easily be drawn into them and lost forever in the turbulent currents of space." As Chu Wanwan finished speaking, a gentle male voice sounded beside her, explaining this strange phenomenon to her.

Chu Wanwan turned her head and saw a young man in a blue robe smiling at her. The man had a handsome face, and his eyes shone with wisdom, giving him a gentle and refined air.

"Thank you for your explanation, fellow immortal." Chu Wanwan said politely.

"No need to be so polite," the young man said with a smile. "My name is Lin Mo. May I ask how you are addressed, young lady?"

"My name is Chu Wanwan," Chu Wanwan replied. "This spatial rift is indeed rare; it's the first time I've ever seen one. Since spatial rifts are so dangerous, why are so many people gathered here? We can't go inside, so what are they all doing here?"

"They're waiting for someone—a powerful being who can stabilize the entrance! The other side of the spatial rift likely connects to a different world brimming with opportunities and treasures. If a powerful being of the fifth level or higher comes to stabilize the exit, these people will rush in en masse, after all, fortune favors the bold!"

As the man in blue spoke, his eyes gleamed with excitement, clearly showing his interest in the spatial rift as well.
