Chu Wanwan climbed directly onto Da Bai's back, and the group slowly made their way into the forest. Feng Que, meanwhile, flew above the dense forest, searching for traces of level-three magical beasts.
Level 3 magical beasts are considered relatively low-level magical beasts in the Magical Beast Forest, and they generally live on the outskirts of the forest.
Therefore, the beast tamers of the Star Gate do not need to venture deep into the forest, so the danger level is not too high, but there is still danger.
"Wanwan, stay by my side and don't run around."
Elder Xu, still not at ease, gave the instructions again.
Chu Wanwan nodded. "Okay! Elder Grandpa."
The group continued their journey, traversing through the forest.
Suddenly, a huge, fiery red figure abruptly sprang out from the jungle ahead.
Chu Wanwan and the others were immediately drawn to the fiery monster before them.
It was a three-legged firebird, its entire body engulfed in golden-red flames, its feathers seemingly cast from lava, gleaming with intense heat. It was enormous, standing as tall as a three-story building, and with a single flap of its wings, it stirred up a scorching gale.
The three-legged firebird's eyes gleamed with ferocity, and its sharp beak flashed with a cold light, clearly indicating that it was an extremely powerful magical beast. It let out a deafening cry, its voice filled with ruthlessness.
"This is a three-legged firebird, a mid-level level three magical beast," Elder Xu said in a deep voice. "Its flames are extremely hot, and ordinary cultivators would find it difficult to withstand. However, for us beast tamers, it is an excellent opportunity for training."
"Wanwan, you can let your contracted beast train. Demonic beasts are more ferocious and have stronger combat power than immortal beasts!"
However, don't worry too much, I will protect you!
Elder Xu said in a deep voice.
Upon hearing this, Chu Wanwan nodded and summoned Feng Que back.
When Feng Que returned, his eyes gleamed with excitement as he looked at the large red bird engulfed in flames.
As a contracted beast with phoenix bloodline, it has a natural affinity for fire. Devouring fire-type beasts can enhance its strength.
Chu Wanwan took a deep breath and gave the order to Feng Que: "Feng Que, go, and be careful."
"Don't worry, Master! If I can't beat you, I'll just run away!"
As soon as Feng Que finished speaking, he let out a clear cry, flapped his wings and soared into the air, heading straight for the three-legged firebird.
Feng Que's body continued to grow larger in mid-air until it reached the same size as the firebird before stopping.
The firebird let out a sharp cry, flapped its wings, and several streams of flame shot out from its body, rushing straight towards Fengque.
Undeterred, Feng Que unleashed several golden-red and yellow flames from his body. The two flames intertwined and collided in the air, eventually transforming into a heat wave that spread outwards.
The intense heat wave forced everyone to take a few steps back, and they immediately erected a spiritual energy shield for self-defense.
Feng Que let out a roar, his figure grew even taller, transforming into a phoenix phantom several meters high, spreading his wings and soaring directly towards the firebird.
A massive figure, like a small mountain, pressed down on the Moltres. Its enormous claws aimed straight for the Moltres's head.
Although the flamingo was fast, Feng Que was even faster, arriving in front of it in the blink of an eye. The flamingo let out an angry howl, flapping its wings in an attempt to dodge Feng Que's attack.
However, it was wrong.
Phoenix's speed is astonishing; how could it be allowed to dodge?
Phoenix's sharp claws gripped the firebird's neck, the sharp nails tearing through the firebird's tough flesh, causing blood to splatter everywhere.
The flamingo, in pain, struggled frantically, trying to break free from Feng Que's restraints.
However, Feng Que firmly grasped its head, opened its huge beak, and bit the firebird's neck, swallowing it whole.
Feng Que's body rapidly shrank, returning to its normal size in the blink of an eye. He landed beside Chu Wanwan.
"Master, I've devoured the Firebird and need to digest and absorb it! Pull me into the space!"
"good!"
As soon as Chu Wanwan finished speaking, Feng Que's figure disappeared.
Everyone looked at Chu Wanwan in shock.
"Wanwan, yesterday that phoenix clearly lost to a low-level level three celestial beast. You should know that magical beasts of the same level are stronger than celestial beasts. How could your contracted beast possibly defeat a mid-level level three magical beast today?"
Zhou Ming said in disbelief.
"Oh! My beasts had no combat experience before, but after yesterday's battle, they both benefited a lot. Their combat strength is naturally different from yesterday," Chu Wanwan explained in her childish voice.
"So that's how it is. No wonder it has the bloodline of a divine beast; truly extraordinary!"
Zhou Ming said with a smile.
The group continued on their journey, occasionally encountering low-level magical beasts, which they generally ignored. The low-level magical beasts, upon smelling the aura of the high-level celestial beasts, were already terrified and scattered in all directions, not daring to approach.
After walking for more than half an hour, the group finally encountered a pack of demonic wolves. There were six of them, all of them high-level level three magical beasts, and they looked quite imposing.
The team consisted of fifty-three members from the Heavenly Class, including twelve high-level level three immortal beasts, twenty mid-level ones, and the rest were all low-level. Although these demonic wolves were powerful, the Starry Sky Sect disciples had the advantage of numbers and strength.
These demonic wolves were no match for them. Soon, the group killed all six wolves, collected all their crystal cores, and continued on their way.
Chu Wanwan felt that this kind of training was pointless. Although being gathered together made them safer, it offered no enjoyment whatsoever. She still hoped to find a group of magical beasts, like in the Elf Realm, and have a proper battle. Only then could the contracted beasts truly improve.
