"No flying! We're no match for the monsters up there! Run! Run as fast as you can!" In the crowd, a veteran saw several newcomers unable to withstand the pressure of the danger behind them and choosing to fly. But before they could even take off, they were shot down by the flying demons above.
These flying demons are equivalent to Void Realm experts among human immortal cultivators; how could they, at the Spirit Transformation Realm, possibly be a match for them?
"Damn it! How could so many level six demons have broken in? Run!" General Wu glanced at the demons in the sky and took off running.
Chu Wanwan also rode on Da Bai's back, running wildly alongside the others.
However, at that moment, the flying demons in mid-air had already spotted them.
The flying demons didn't attack the immortal cultivators in front of the demon horde because they feared their poisonous gas might accidentally harm their own demons. However, Chu Wanwan and the others were some distance from the demon horde, so the flying demons had no such concerns.
Two immortal cultivators were left to watch over the demon horde, while the other six charged towards Chu Wanwan and the others.
"Qingyan! Can you beat him?"
Chu Wanwan frowned and glanced behind her before asking.
"One will barely survive, and six will surely die!" Qingyan's voice rang out in Chu Wanwan's mind.
Upon hearing this, Chu Wanwan decisively took out a handful of talismans from her spatial ring and tossed them behind her without even looking at them.
Instantly, a series of booming sounds rang out, and the powerful energy shockwaves generated by the exploding talismans spread outwards.
The explosive power of the talisman slightly hampered the flying demons' offensive, forcing them to retreat temporarily to avoid the sudden attack.
"Run away?"
Chu Wanwan asked again!
"They can't catch me!"
Qingyan said confidently.
"Alright! Lead them back to camp and get reinforcements!"
As Chu Wanwan spoke, she took out another handful of talismans and threw them out.
"Alright!" Qingyan didn't waste any words. He knew that his master couldn't die because of his spatial ability, so he enlarged his body and took to the air.
"Hurry up and get on the Azure Dragon's back, it will take you back to camp!"
Chu Wanwan shouted loudly to the immortal cultivators behind her.
"We can't go back to the camp! If we go back, the entire camp will be lost! We need to go to the city wall. We have to lure them there; there are Void Realm experts there, and only then will they have a fighting chance!"
General Wu shouted loudly.
"Alright! Qingyan, I'll listen to General Wu!" Chu Wanwan said, and then she, along with Feng Que and Da Bai, disappeared without a trace.
General Wu originally wanted Chu Wanwan to go with them, but when he saw Chu Wanwan disappear, he stopped talking, leaped onto the Azure Dragon, and the others followed closely behind.
That little guy is incredibly powerful; even if he can't defeat the demons, he won't die.
Clearly, everyone understood this, and even the disciples of the Starry Sky Sect, without saying a word, rode on the Azure Dragon's back and escaped...
Seeing the Azure Dragon carrying the other cultivators away, the six flying demons roared angrily and gave chase.
The Azure Dragon and the six flying demons were extremely fast and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Chu Wanwan hid in the space and drew talismans in the air. In the blink of an eye, the talisman was completed. Seeing that the demon horde was approaching, Chu Wanwan threw the talisman directly out.
A massive talisman hung in the air, freezing all the lower-level demons below. Demonic energy surged from the demons, converging towards the giant talisman.
The demons behind them stopped, and the cultivators, who were already exhausted, showed expressions of shock and confusion upon seeing this.
"What's going on?" a warrior in armor asked.
"Waaaaah... It's Chu Wanwan! She must be nearby. Looks like we're saved!"
Lin Qingya of the Qingfeng Immortal Sect suddenly burst into tears of joy, saying with a mixture of pride and lingering fear.
Zhao Youxian and Lan Xin collapsed to the ground upon seeing the Demon Gathering Array, looking up at the array in mid-air and the two enormous flying demons below it that were constantly crashing into it.
Even Chu Chenxi, Fu Boxiu, and Ouyang Jian of the Lingxiao Sect couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
Although they loathed Chu Wanwan, they had to admit that she possessed astonishing strength and methods. In this critical moment, her appearance undoubtedly brought hope to everyone.
"Chu Wanwan? Who is that?"
The armored warrior asked.
There are three types of people outside the realm. One type is the soldiers stationed outside the realm. They are the combined troops of the Immortal Realm, and they come from noble families and independent cultivators from various realms above the Third Heaven.
These main forces stationed in the military to fight against demons are all clad in armor.
One group consists of disciples from various immortal sects who come here primarily for training. They are not part of the regular army but rather a reserve force under its command. They typically wear the uniforms of their respective immortal sects.
One type consists of powerful beings at the sixth level or above, stationed at the entrances to broken barriers in various locations. Their responsibility is to fight against high-level demons and repair the barriers. They are all clad in identical silver armor, like war gods descending upon the world…
The soldier looked puzzled when Lin Qingya mentioned Chu Wanwan.
Do these newcomers know experts above the Void Realm? Otherwise, how can you say they're safe?
"Wanwan! You're the number one in our Immortal Sect Competition! That's amazing!" Lin Qingya exclaimed with admiration.
"What? First place in the Immortal Sect Competition? At the Condensation Realm?"
The soldier initially thought he had encountered a talisman master comparable to someone at the Void Realm level, since all the demons were frozen in place by the talisman array! He never expected that the master was actually from the Third Heaven.
How can that be safe? Safe my foot!
"Run! Keep running!" The soldier seemed to be a small leader. As soon as he finished speaking, the dozen or so veterans behind him continued to run forward.
Seeing this, several people from the Lingxiao Sect also gave chase.
