Chapter 286 Extraterritorial Battlefield

Suddenly, the flying demon let out a deafening roar, and then a thick stream of venom shot towards General Liu's face.

General Liu hurriedly erected a spiritual energy shield, but because the battle had dragged on for so long, his spiritual energy was already depleted. Therefore, the shield failed to withstand the venom's attack and was instantly shattered. General Liu could only watch helplessly as the venom flew towards him, unable to dodge.

At this critical moment, a magnificent ribbon suddenly appeared out of thin air, instantly wrapping General Liu's entire body like a mummy. The venom sprayed onto the ribbon was completely blocked by it, not only failing to harm General Liu in the slightest, but also leaving the ribbon completely untouched by the venom.

Chu Wanwan grabbed the other end of the ribbon and yanked it, pulling General Liu to the ground.

"Brother Mingye, I'll leave that demon to you. Don't kill it. I need to absorb its demonic energy. If I kill it, the demonic energy will dissipate."

As Chu Wanwan spoke, she retracted the ribbon wrapped around General Liu. This ribbon was an ancient artifact given to her by the elves, and she wasn't entirely sure what it could do. All she had learned so far was that the ribbon was very strong and had excellent defensive capabilities!

"Alright!" Si Mingye responded and rushed towards the flying demons that were about to attack them in mid-air.

In the blink of an eye, Si Mingye flew to the opposite side of the demon. Upon seeing this, the flying demon sprayed a mouthful of venom at Si Mingye. Si Mingye stood with his hands behind his back, completely unmoved. The venom stopped an inch away from his body, as if it had encountered an invisible wall and could not advance any further.

Seeing this, the flying demon realized it was no match for the man before it. Its large, bell-like eyes revealed a human-like look of terror as it turned to flee.

However, Si Mingye would not give it that chance. With a flick of his index finger, a sharp burst of energy shot out and accurately struck the flying demon's body.

A bloody hole suddenly burst open in the demon's chest, and blood gushed out, staining half the sky red.

The flying demon let out a shrill scream as its body plummeted from mid-air like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily to the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.

The cultivators below were astonished to see that the demon that had left so many of them helpless had been severely injured by that handsome young man in a single blow.

They all looked up at Si Mingye, their eyes filled with awe and gratitude.

General Liu lay on the ground, barely alive. He saw that the flying demon had been dealt with by this man in one move, and finally felt relieved, then fainted.

Upon seeing this, Chu Wanwan immediately went to General Liu's side, took out a life-extending pill from her spatial storage and fed it to him. Then she went to the demon's side, converted the flying demon's demonic power into spiritual power, and absorbed it all.

General Liu slowly woke up after being fed a pill by Chu Wanwan.

He struggled to open his eyes and looked at Si Mingye, who was dressed in black and stood with his hands behind his back. Then he looked at Chu Wanwan, who was converting demonic energy into spiritual power, and asked with difficulty, "Little one, what kind of method is this? And who is he?"

"Uncle Liu, you're awake? This technique and array I'm using is specifically designed to target demons. Uncle Liu, please don't ask Wanwan for it! Because this technique is useless against anyone except me!"

Because General Liu helped her yesterday, Chu Wanwan had a good attitude towards him.

"As for him! A rogue cultivator at the sixth level of the Heavenly Realm, he's my friend!"

When Si Mingye heard Chu Wanwan and General Liu introduce him, he nodded to General Liu as a greeting.

Upon hearing Chu Wanwan's words, General Liu bowed to Si Mingye and said, "Thank you both for saving my life!"

General Liu's voice was weak, but full of gratitude.

Chu Wanwan smiled slightly and gently shook her head. "Uncle Liu, you're too kind. You helped me yesterday too, this is just what I should do."

"Gentlemen, I have a favor to ask!" General Liu bowed to Chu Wanwan and Si Mingye again. His hands, covered in calluses and blisters from the corrosive venom, looked horrifying.

Chu Wanwan and Si Mingye exchanged a glance, then looked at General Liu. Chu Wanwan asked softly, "Uncle Liu, please tell us what's wrong. If we can help, we will do our best."

General Liu nodded, a look of gratitude on his face.

“Normally, it’s impossible for so many level-six demons to appear in the safe zone. The fact that so many high-level demons have broken into the safe zone means that something must have happened at the front line!”

Little one, although your cultivation level isn't high enough to go to the outer battlefield, your talisman arrays and techniques are powerful weapons against demons. I think if you could go to the front lines, no matter what happens there, you would definitely be a great help.

And this young man, your cultivation has already reached the Void Realm, your strength goes without saying. Therefore, I, Liu, would like to invite you two to go to the front lines to see if there is any crisis there. If so, I hope you can do your best to help the soldiers on the front lines!

As General Liu spoke, he actually forced his broken body to kneel down in front of Chu Wanwan and Si Mingye.

Chu Wanwan's purpose in coming to the outer realm was to take advantage of the large-scale demons to upgrade herself, so she would not refuse this request.

Chu Wanwan glanced at Si Mingye, and seeing that Si Mingye nodded, she said, "Uncle Liu, please get up. We promise you that we will go to the front line and do our best to help."

When General Liu heard Chu Wanwan's promise, a look of gratitude and relief flashed in his eyes.

"Thank you both. On behalf of the soldiers on the front lines and the Immortal Realm, I thank you."

Chu Wanwan waved her hand, indicating that General Liu didn't need to be so polite. She then took out some green ointment from her spatial storage and handed it to General Liu.
