Divine beasts are inherently proud and rarely form contracts. Only the masters of those favored by Heaven can possibly form contracts with so many divine beast bloodlines at once.
"Get up, Xuanwu," Chu Wanwan said with a smile. "Take me to the Ten Demon Generals. I want one of them to help my mother absorb the demonic energy from her body."
“Alright! I’ll take you there right away!” Xuanwu said, walking to the place where the largest chaotic energy cluster had been. Only then did Chu Wanwan notice that there was a large opening in that place.
The hole was pitch black, with not a ray of light in sight, and we had no idea what was down there!
"This is the Abyss of Chaos?"
Looking down from above, Chu Wanwan felt that the abyss was bottomless, and a mysterious and ancient aura emanated from it, inspiring awe.
"Yes, Master. This is the Chaos Abyss, where the Ten Demon Generals are sealed," the Xuanwu Divine Beast explained.
Chu Wanwan took a deep breath, preparing to enter the Chaos Abyss. She knew that this journey might be filled with unknowns and dangers, but she was determined to save her mother.
"Wait for me upstairs, I'll be back soon," Chu Wanwan said to Qinglong, Baihu, and Zhuque, before putting the unconscious Chu Lan into her spatial storage.
The three divine beasts responded in unison, watching Chu Wanwan's figure gradually disappear into the darkness of the chaotic abyss.
Chu Wanwan and Xuanwu slowly descended along the cave entrance, surrounded by pitch-black darkness.
She channeled her spiritual power, creating a faint glow around her to illuminate her surroundings.
As she ventured deeper, the surrounding air grew increasingly cold and gloomy, as if an invisible sense of oppression was gradually approaching.
Finally, at the very bottom of the abyss, she saw a faint glimmer of light. Overjoyed, she quickened her pace and flew towards the light. Upon approaching, Chu Wanwan realized that the light originated from a massive cave sealed by a powerful barrier.
Inside the cave, faint demonic energy emanated, indicating that a powerful demon race resided within.
"Is this the place where the Ten Demon Generals were sealed?" Chu Wanwan asked.
The Xuanwu divine beast nodded: "Indeed, Master. Because their magic power was too strong, they were sealed here by the ancient gods."
Chu Wanwan stared at the seal, feeling the immense magical power contained within it, and couldn't help but frown slightly.
"If this seal is broken, will those demon generals be released?" Although Chu Wanwan desperately wanted to save Chu Lan, she wouldn't act rashly if breaking the seal would cause widespread destruction...
“Theoretically, yes, but we can enter the seal directly without breaking it,” the Xuanwu Divine Beast explained. “Although this seal is powerful, when it was set up, as the guardian divine beast, I was qualified to cross the seal and enter to negotiate with the demon general.”
Chu Wanwan breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. This way, she could save her mother without bringing disaster to the world, which was indeed a win-win solution.

The Xuanwu divine beast nodded, and then a faint light emanated from its body, enveloping Chu Wanwan. Immediately afterward, their figures vanished before the seal.
The process of breaking through the seal felt like traversing a time tunnel. Chu Wanwan felt everything around her become blurry, and in the blink of an eye, they found themselves in a completely different space.
This was a space filled with demonic energy, the air thick with it, making one feel somewhat oppressed. However, Chu Wanwan did not feel uncomfortable; her divine power automatically protected her, resisting the surrounding demonic energy's invasion.
In the center of this space was a massive demon-locking array, within which sat ten demon generals of various forms. Some sat, some stood, and their bodies emanated powerful magical energy.
Each of them was bound by two golden chains of light, which penetrated deep into their bodies, as if sealing their magic. Upon seeing Chu Wanwan and the Xuanwu Divine Beast arrive, the ten demon generals looked up in unison, their eyes filled with vigilance and doubt.
"Who is she? Xuan Mo, how could you bring a mere Chaos Realm Immortal cultivator through the seal to this place? How strange!" one of the demon generals asked in a cold and authoritative voice.
Xuanmo did not answer, but walked up to a seated demon general and said coldly, "Do me a favor!"
The demon general was a woman dressed in red with a bewitching face. She chuckled, her eyes gleaming with amusement: "Oh? Lord Xuanmo actually needs our help? That's quite unusual."
Xuanmo frowned slightly, clearly unaccustomed to such teasing, but he still held back and said in a deep voice, "Help me absorb the demonic energy from her mother's body. In exchange, I can do something for you, as long as it is within my capabilities and morally permissible."
Upon hearing this, the female demon general in red smiled even more deeply: "Lord Xuanmo, you should know that we are sealed here, and our demonic power is limited. Even if we wanted to help you, we are powerless to do so."
"So you're saying you're refusing?" Xuanmo asked coldly.
“That’s right! Lord Xuanmo, I, Hongzhu, have been imprisoned here for tens of thousands of years, and the only thing I want to do is leave this place. But you are destined not to grant this request, so why should I work for you?”
Hongzhu smiled charmingly and then closed her eyes again.
"Ha! Red Candle, do you know why I sought you out of all those demon generals?"
Xuanmo's words made Hongzhu open her eyes again. She looked at Xuanmo curiously, waiting for him to continue.
Xuanmo continued, "Because you were once a healer among the demons, you have a unique understanding of manipulating and healing demonic energy. Among these ten demon generals, you are the most likely to safely extract the demonic energy from her mother's body without harming her life. Moreover..."
"Moreover, I heard that among the Ten Demon Generals, Red Candle is the most afraid of pain. Because she is afraid of being beaten, she is the only Demon General who voluntarily entered the sealed land! Tell me, if I were to hurt you, would you give in?"
A meaningful smile appeared on Xuanmo's lips.
Hongzhu's expression changed slightly. She glared at Xuanmo, a hint of annoyance flashing in her eyes. But quickly, she regained her composure and chuckled, saying, "Xuanmo, are you threatening me?"
"Hmm! Congratulations! You got it right!" Xuanmo said in a serious tone.
"Ha! You've got guts! Bring the person over here!"
Hongzhu looked at Xuanmo with gritted teeth, but even a tiger fallen into the plains is bullied by dogs, and she had no choice but to submit.
