As the last beast fell, Chu Wanwan sheathed her sword, walked to the survivors, and with a wave of her hand, the spiritual energy shield disappeared.
"Well done! You can yell louder next time!" Chu Wanwan said with a smile.
The survivors felt embarrassed when they heard Chu Wanwan say that.
"I'm so sorry! We didn't realize your power. Please rest assured, Fairy. Call me again if this happens next time. I promise I trust you and will never be afraid again!"
"Yes! Yes! Us too!"
"Fairy, it shouldn't take more than a few days to eliminate the monsters in M City using the method we just used. How about we lure another wave next time?" The survivors chattered among themselves, their fear gone, replaced by deep respect and trust for Chu Wanwan.
Chu Wanwan looked at them, a satisfied smile playing on her lips. She knew that these survivors were no longer the desperate, helpless people they had been moments before; they were now full of hope and fighting spirit.
“Alright, since you’re so confident, let’s try again.” Chu Wanwan readily agreed. “However, this time we need to change the location; we can’t keep luring the beasts here.”
The survivors nodded in agreement.
“The fairy is right. Let’s go somewhere else. How about we go to the city center square? It’s the most densely populated area in M City. There are all kinds of big companies and shopping malls. The time when the monster eggs mature in large numbers is around 10 a.m., which is when the crowds gather. We can definitely kill more monsters there,” one survivor said excitedly.
"Yes! Let's go there!"
"Yes, yes!..."
Chu Wanwan nodded upon hearing this, "Okay, let me arrange it."
As Chu Wanwan spoke, she left Feng Que and Qing Yan behind to protect the technicians and soldiers inside. Although the strange beasts in the vicinity had been mostly cleared out, there were bound to be some that slipped through the net. If these escaped beasts gathered at the power company, those people might be in danger.
After arranging everything, Chu Wanwan led the survivors in a large white car towards the city center square.
Big White's body had grown to a huge size, running rapidly through the streets like a small mountain, shaking the earth.
Such a commotion naturally attracted many strange beasts that rushed towards the Great White. The Great White didn't stop, and wind blades rose around it, directly slicing the approaching beasts into pieces.
The survivors sat on the broad back of the giant white beast, watching as the beasts that had once terrified them were so easily dealt with by the giant white beast. They couldn't help but be amazed. Not only was the fairy powerful, but even the fairy beasts of the fairy were so incredible!
They clung tightly to the white giant's fur, afraid of being thrown off by the rapidly running giant and becoming food for the strange beast.
Big White ran ahead, and many strange beasts converged on them from all directions. There were even a few winged humanoid beasts overhead. Big White sensed the threat from above, and suddenly shook its head. Several sharp wind blades shot out from its mouth and nose, accurately knocking down the humanoid beasts. Before they could even scream, they were cut into pieces and fell from the sky.
The survivors were overwhelmed with shock at witnessing this scene. They had never seen such a powerful creature before. Not only was the Great White enormous and incredibly strong, but it also possessed such precise attack methods; it was practically a living war machine.
"Big White, you're amazing!" one of the survivors exclaimed.
The others echoed their sentiments, now filled with confidence and respect for Chu Wanwan and her companions. With such powerful protectors, they believed they had hope of survival, no matter how formidable the beasts they faced.
And so they went, killing as they went, leaving behind many corpses of strange beasts along the way.
“We can’t leave these monster corpses here. The temperature is so high now, they will rot quickly and breed more bacteria and viruses, which will be a huge threat to the environment and humans,” a survivor wearing a white coat said worriedly.
Upon hearing this, Chu Wanwan frowned slightly. She understood that the survivor's concerns were valid. The corpses of the strange beasts could not be discarded carelessly and had to be handled properly.
“You’re right, the corpses of these strange beasts must be disposed of as soon as possible,” Chu Wanwan said in a deep voice. “Here’s what we’ll do: tomorrow we’ll bring out all the male survivors from the base, pile the corpses in a wide open space, and burn them all together.”
Looking at the surrounding high-rise buildings, Chu Wanwan said that she could actually summon Feng Que to burn the corpses, but Feng Que's fire was Nirvana Fire, which was extremely hot. If there were survivors in the surrounding buildings, they could very well be roasted alive by such a fire.
To avoid the loss of innocent survivors, Chu Wanwan felt it was best to be cautious.
Tomorrow, have the ordinary survivors move the bodies, and have the soldiers search for survivors in nearby buildings.
Most of the monsters on the lower floors of the building have been attracted out, so there shouldn't be many monsters left in the upper floors. If we're careful, we should be fine.
The group responded and continued on their way.
Upon arriving at the city center square, a large number of strange beasts gathered there without any need for any attracting. Chu Wanwan made hand seals and chanted an incantation, and the previously blazing sun suddenly turned into a sky filled with dark clouds. Streaks of silver lightning streaked through the clouds, accompanied by deafening thunder.
Standing on the back of the giant white dog, Chu Wanwan casually set up another spiritual energy shield that enveloped the giant white dog's body.
The survivors felt a great sense of security looking at the protective aura. Sitting on Big White's back, they were both nervous and excited, knowing that the fairy was about to unleash her magical powers once again.
As Chu Wanwan intensified her incantation, the dark clouds in the sky grew thicker, and lightning flashed like dragons among the clouds...
"Go!" Chu Wanwan suddenly opened her eyes and gave the order. The lightning in the clouds transformed into countless tiny bolts of electricity, striking each of the strange beasts with pinpoint accuracy, like divine punishment. Under this sudden attack, the beasts screamed in agony. Some were instantly reduced to charred remains, while others struggled in agony but could not escape death.
