The following day, amidst the reluctance and blessings of their families, Si Mingye and Chu Wanwan stepped into the passages connecting the Immortal Realm to various smaller worlds, arriving in a peaceful and beautiful world that seemed like a dream.
This world is free from war and famine; the people live in peace and prosperity, a scene of a golden age.
They came to a place called the Lianli Mountains, where the mountains stretched endlessly and were covered with lush green trees.
The clouds and mist swirl among the mountains, sometimes as light as gauze, sometimes as thick as ink, creating a mesmerizing fairyland.
Spring water gushes out from the cracks in the rocks in the mountains, converging into a crystal-clear stream.
The stream shimmered with silver light under the sunlight, like a flowing Milky Way, sparkling and breathtakingly beautiful.
Various colorful flowers bloom along the stream, vying for beauty and creating a breathtaking scene.
Butterflies fluttered among the flowers, their wings shimmering with brilliant colors in the sunlight, like spirits of nature.
Si Mingye and Chu Wanwan were deeply attracted by the beautiful scenery. They used their magic to build a small courtyard on the mountainside as their new home.
The house is made of wood and has a faint woody scent.
The courtyard is surrounded by a bamboo fence, which adds a touch of pastoral charm and gives people a sense of tranquility and security.
In the courtyard, Si Mingye personally planted several of Chu Wanwan's favorite flowers. The colorful blossoms bloomed in competition, adding a touch of splendor to the tranquil courtyard.
Stepping inside, the room was simply yet warmly furnished. A large wooden bed sat in the center of the room, covered with soft bedding. A small table and two chairs were placed by the window, where Si Mingye and Chu Wanwan could enjoy tea and the view, savoring the tranquility and beauty of their private world.
"That's about enough for today, my wife. Go wash up and rest! Tomorrow, I'll take you to Youzhou City for a stroll. I've heard that it's market day tomorrow, so we can go and see if there's anything we need to buy."
Chu Wanwan smiled and nodded. The two went to the courtyard, where Si Mingye used magic to summon clear stream water and gently washed Chu Wanwan's hands and face. Looking at Si Mingye's focused expression, Chu Wanwan felt a sweet warmth in her heart.
After washing up, they returned to the room and lay down on the soft, large bed.
A gentle night breeze carried the fragrance of flowers and the fresh scent of grass. The bright moon hung high outside the window, casting a soft glow that illuminated the entire courtyard. Chu Wanwan drifted off to sleep in Si Mingye's arms, a blissful smile on her face.
The next morning, they arrived at Youzhou City. The city was bustling with activity, teeming with people, and filled with a dazzling array of stalls. There were vendors selling local delicacies, handicrafts, and all sorts of rare and exotic treasures…
Chu Wanwan and Si Mingye strolled around with great interest, stopping from time to time to pick out things they liked.
At a stall, Chu Wanwan saw an exquisite hairpin inlaid with a dazzling gemstone. She picked it up, admiring it with obvious delight. Si Mingye noticed her interest and bought the hairpin without hesitation, personally putting it on her head.
"My wife, you are so beautiful." Si Mingye said, looking at Chu Wanwan with deep affection.
"Tsk tsk tsk, she really is an absolute beauty!"
Before Chu Wanwan could answer, a frivolous male voice rang out. Chu Wanwan looked over and saw a man with slicked-back hair and a frivolous face. The man was dressed in luxurious clothes, but his eyes were full of frivolity and unruliness.
He was followed by several attendants, each with an arrogant expression.
Si Mingye's face darkened, and he coldly looked at the man, saying, "Speak with some respect."
The man, however, was unimpressed and burst into laughter: "Oh, you've got quite a temper. This young lady is so beautiful, wouldn't it be a waste for her to stay with you? Why don't you come back with me, and I'll guarantee you a life of luxury."
A murderous glint flashed in Si Mingye's eyes, and he was about to make a move when Chu Wanwan gently tugged at his sleeve and shook her head slightly.
With their abilities, crushing the man in front of them would be as easy as crushing an ant.
But no, their abilities are beyond what this world can possess.
If this were exposed, it would likely cause unnecessary panic.
Seeing this, Si Mingye had obviously thought of this as well, and suppressed his temper without making a move.
"Young master, are you trying to abduct an innocent woman in the street?" Chu Wanwan asked with a smile.
Chu Wanwan was already exceptionally beautiful, and her smile was like a spring flower in full bloom, so radiant and captivating that everyone around her was mesmerized.
The slick-haired man's eyes widened, and he stammered, "Young lady, you have a beautiful smile. Come with me! I promise to treat you well."
Chu Wanwan's smile vanished, and her eyes turned icy: "Young master, please have some self-respect. I am already someone's wife, and I will never go with you."
The man, however, was still unwilling to give up. He stepped forward and tried to take Chu Wanwan's hand: "Why be so stubborn, young lady? Follow me, and you will enjoy endless wealth and glory."
Seeing this, Si Mingye grabbed the man's groping hand, squeezing so hard that the man's face turned deathly pale, and he cried out in pain. The man's followers, seeing this, drew their weapons, ready to rush forward to rescue their young master.
Si Mingye's eyes narrowed, and he threw the man in his hand, which hit the man's followers.
The man was thrown around in a daze, and he got up in a disheveled state, his eyes filled with anger.
"You won't listen to reason, so you'll have to suffer the consequences! Get them! Cripple the men, and tie up the women and take them to my manor. I refuse to believe I can't do anything to you!" the man said viciously.
The followers immediately charged forward, brandishing their swords. Si Mingye sneered, and in a flash, he appeared in front of the followers.
Without even drawing his demonic sword, he easily sent the first few followers flying using only the scabbard.
They fell heavily to the ground, groaning in pain. The rest of the entourage, seeing this, were filled with fear and stopped in their tracks.
Seeing this, the slick-haired man shouted angrily, "What are you afraid of? Get him! Whoever can cripple this man will be richly rewarded by this young master."
