The black-robed man laughed in fury, "So you only obey the Demon God. Red Candle, you will regret your actions today." With that, ignoring his injuries, he once again raised his demonic blade and lunged at Si Mingye.
Si Mingye slightly shifted his body, dodging the black-robed man's fierce attack, and simultaneously thrust his sword at the man's ribs. The black-robed man parried with his blade, but the force of Si Mingye's sword made his arm go numb.
Seeing this, Hongzhu quickly waved her wand and chanted a spell. Red runes flew from the tip of the wand and coiled around the black-robed man. The black-robed man tried to break free from the runes' restraints, but found that they seemed to be alive, tightening their grip even more.
"Red Candle, do you think these runes can trap me?" The black-robed man roared, his entire body erupting with magical power. Black demonic energy surged out, clashing with the red runes.
Seizing the opportunity, while the black-robed man was restrained by the runes, Si Mingye gathered all his spiritual power into the demonic sword. The demonic sword shone brightly, and he shouted, "Sword of Demon Slayer!" before thrusting it towards the black-robed man.
This sword strike contained Si Mingye's powerful spiritual energy and was incredibly fast. Although the black-robed man sensed the danger, he was trapped by the runes and couldn't dodge in time. The demonic sword pierced directly into his shoulder, and black demonic energy gushed out from the wound.
"Ah!" The man in black robes roared in pain.
When Hongzhu saw the black-robed man injured, her heart tightened. Although she had betrayed him, the years of companionship still made her feel a pang of guilt.
Si Mingye did not press his advantage. He looked at the man in black robes and said, "It's not too late for you to stop now. Don't let the demons be plunged into endless war."
The man in black robes gritted his teeth and said, "Si Mingye, don't even think about it. Today, it's either you or me who dies." With that, he forcefully broke free from the runes' restraints, and his demonic blade once again slashed at Si Mingye.
Si Mingye shook his head helplessly and could only raise his sword to fight again.
Just then, a muffled rumbling sound suddenly came from the sky. The sound was very distant and did not seem to be from the Sixth Heaven.
"It's terrible! Lord Demon God, you must stop the other demon generals! They're attacking the divine realm's barrier! Leave this to me!"
Red Candle glanced at the sky and said anxiously.
Although she is a demon and not a good person by nature, she doesn't want to do something as crazy as destroying the world.
Upon hearing this, Si Mingye glanced at the red candle and nodded, "Please!"
As he spoke, he delivered another heavy blow to the man in black robes, who was severely injured and coughed up blood, his body swaying precariously in mid-air.
Upon hearing Hongzhu's words, Chu Wanwan flew towards the source of the sound, and Si Mingye quickly followed.
Above the Chaos Abyss, eight demons hovered in mid-air, their demonic energy surging and forming a massive black vortex, the center of which faced the divine realm barrier. Beams of black demonic energy shot from the demon generals' hands, striking the divine realm barrier violently, causing ripples to spread across it and its light to flicker erratically.
When Si Mingye and Chu Wanwan arrived, they were shocked by what they saw.
It turns out that the God Realm is located above the Chaos Abyss. If they break the seal, the God Realm will be severely damaged. Normally, their power would not pose any threat to the God Realm, but the God Realm is already teetering on the brink of collapse. If the seal is broken, the God Realm will be in grave danger.
Chu Wanwan and Si Mingye exchanged a glance and charged directly at the eight people.
Si Mingye took the lead, his demonic sword gleaming with a chilling light in his hand.
He moved with lightning speed, instantly appearing before a green-robed demon general, his demonic sword aimed at the general's throat. Sensing Si Mingye's fierce attack, the green-robed demon general hastily dodged to the side, simultaneously sweeping his demonic weapon towards Si Mingye.
Si Mingye leaned back to avoid the attack of the demonic weapon. Then he turned around and slashed the demonic sword toward the waist of the green-robed demon general.
After narrowly dodging the attack, the green-robed demon general finally saw Si Mingye's face clearly. "Demon God? Have you been reborn? The demon race was wiped out by the immortal race, and we are now here to avenge them. Are you trying to stop us?"
The man in the green robe sounded hurt.
The Demon God was his idol, the most powerful deity in the world, and the pride of his demon race. But why had he never sided with the demon race from beginning to end? Was it only when he truly became a demon who had lost his mind that he truly belonged to the demon race?
"Do you know that once the God Realm collapses, it won't just be the immortal race that perishes; a single fragment of the God Realm is enough to destroy a small world. That's why I will stop you, and I must stop you!" Si Mingye's expression was serious, and his eyes were firm as he looked at the green-robed demon general.
The green-robed demon general was slightly taken aback, clearly moved by Si Mingye's words, but he quickly regained his angry expression:
"Heh... Born a demon, yet you don't care about the life or death of demons. Do you think that by righteously stopping us now, the immortals and all realms will regard you as a hero?"
"Hahahaha... Once you become a demon, that woman will abandon you and try to kill you, just like in your past life!"
"Everyone from all walks of life that you are currently protecting will wish you were annihilated and never reincarnated!"
"If you don't believe me, just wait and see!!" the man in the green robe shouted. "Dark Ghost, come with me to stop these two! The rest of you, continue attacking the divine barrier!"
"Here it comes!" An old man in black landed in front of Chu Wanwan, holding a long spear shrouded in demonic energy. Without saying a word, he thrust it directly at Chu Wanwan.
The old man was a powerful expert at the Upper Demon Realm, and his strength was comparable to Chu Wanwan's. Chu Wanwan dared not underestimate her opponent and fought seriously.
