Huo Qi was playing on his phone. He was enjoying himself at home, as he didn't have to accompany his father to the company today and could even pet his rabbit.
I glanced at the time; it was only nine o'clock. "Aruan, do you want to go out for a walk? I'll take you."
Lin Ruanruan looked up from taking pictures of the cats and asked, "Where are we going to play?"
"Hmm... let's go to the nearby arcade." Huo Qi ruffled Lin Ruanruan's hair. "Want to come?"
Lin Ruanruan hesitated for a moment, "Aren't there a lot of people?"
In just one morning, she and Huo Qi had become quite familiar with each other. Lin Ruanruan even felt more comfortable with Huo Qi than with Huo Xian.
"Don't worry, you just need to keep an eye on me," Huo Qi said with a smile, knowing that the little rabbit was a socially awkward person.
"Okay then." Lin Ruanruan obediently agreed.
Without saying a word, Huo Qi told her to put down Dafu and took Lin Ruanruan downstairs.
When he went downstairs, the housekeeper told him that Huo Momo had gone out. He raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything, only instructing the staff to follow her closely.
Sitting in the passenger seat of the sports car, Lin Ruanruan looked at the buttons and devices she had never seen before with curiosity. "It's so different from other cars."
Huo Qi started the engine, and the car roared to life. He laughed heartily, "That's right, I even modified this car."
"Wow~" Lin Ruanruan doesn't know anything about cars, but she knows how to give a thumbs up without thinking.
She didn't understand anything Huo Qi was talking about, such as engine models, exhaust modifications, interior details, or even colors. She listened attentively the whole time, nodding repeatedly and occasionally expressing surprise, providing excellent emotional support.
Huo Qi was so flattered that he almost sped, but he remembered there was a little rabbit in the car and was worried about setting a bad example for the child, so he drove according to traffic regulations the whole time.
Even when sports cars honked at him, he ignored them, chatting happily with Lin Ruanruan. Of course, he was the one doing most of the talking, while Lin Ruanruan listened and occasionally gave him a thumbs up.
"I heard from Huo Xian that you often make very interesting videos. When will you share them with me?" Huo Qi said.
"I've posted it on my WeChat Moments and Douyin account. Can I add you, Brother Huo?" Lin Ruanruan said with a smile, happy to be recognized.
Huo Qi handed the phone to Lin Ruanruan with one hand, "Here, the password is 3944, add one more."
Lin Ruanruan did as she was told, "Okay~ Do you want to change the nickname?"
"I'll fix it myself later." Huo Qi smirked, having tricked the little rabbit into sending him a WeChat message: YES.
The arcade was as bustling as ever. Lin Ruanruan quietly moved closer to Huo Qi. Huo Qi immediately took Lin Ruanruan's hand and made her link arms with him.
Linked to the tall Huo Qi beside her, Lin Ruanruan immediately felt a surge of security, her steps light as she looked around. This was her first time at an arcade.
Huo Qi had been carefully observing Lin Ruanruan's expression the whole time. Once he saw that she relaxed, he led the people to exchange for game coins.
Seeing Huo Qi's skillful operation, Lin Ruanruan asked curiously, "Brother Huo, do you come here often?"
"I've been here twice with my brothers before, and I thought it was alright." He couldn't very well say that he had skipped school to come out and play before, hiding it from his parents. That would set a bad example for the little rabbit.
"Oh~"
Lin Ruanruan's eyes suddenly lit up. "Brother Huo, can I play that?"
Huo Qi followed her finger and saw rows of claw machines. "Of course, come on, have you ever played one?"
"No, I've only seen other people play it," Lin Ruanruan honestly shook her head.
"I'll teach you." Huo Qi's claw machine skills were pretty good; he managed to catch one out of three times. Lin Ruanruan watched from the side and quickly gave him a thumbs up.
Finally, Huo Qi gave Lin Ruanruan a small basket of game coins and told her to play by herself, saying, "There are plenty of game coins, take your time."
He stood to the side, guarding the little rabbit. There were too many unruly children around, and it wouldn't be good if they bumped into it.
Lin Ruanruan was very sensitive to this. Sensing Huo Qi's protection, she gave him a sweet smile and began her grand plan to win the claw machine.
Huo Qi was touched by that smile, and gently curved his lips into a smile. The little bunny is so well-behaved.
To Huo Qi's surprise, this little rabbit was incredibly lucky, catching it almost every time. Whichever rabbit it set its sights on, it couldn't escape.
"Holy crap." Huo Qi was dumbfounded, and others around him had the same expression.
"This little girl is amazing..." A young woman looked at Lin Ruanruan with admiration.
"Mommy, I want one too!" a child cried, tugging at his mother's skirt.
Many children stared at Lin Ruanruan with starry eyes, as if they were watching Superman.
Huo Qi took out his phone and silently filmed a long video of the scene.
Until finally the cart was completely full,
"That's all." Lin Ruanruan proudly puffed out her chest; she was truly amazing.
"Impressive, impressive, I concede defeat." Huo Qi smiled and clasped his hands in a fist salute, which made Lin Ruanruan laugh out loud.
Finally, the two left the dolls at the front desk. Huo Qi took Lin Ruanruan to play on almost all the facilities, and Lin Ruanruan became more and more relaxed.
By the end, Lin Ruanruan's clothes were soaked with sweat, and stray hairs clung to her forehead, each bead of sweat like a tiny diamond. Her almond-shaped eyes sparkled, and her face wore an expression of excitement.
Huo Qi affectionately took out a tissue to wipe her sweat, "It's almost noon now, and we don't have time to go back to the Huo residence. Let's just have lunch nearby, okay?"
Huo Qi threw the used tissue into a nearby trash can.
"Okay, no problem." Lin Ruanruan nodded, then suddenly thought of Huo Xian, "What about Huo Xian and Xuan Yuan Haocheng?"
"Don't worry about them, they won't go hungry at home." Huo Qi casually pinched Lin Ruanruan's cheek.
Lin Ruanruan glared at him, feeling that Huo Qi loved pinching her cheeks too much.
