Lin Ruanruan held the documents in her hands, her eyes vacant, mechanically reciting vocabulary words. Beside her, Fang Lan pretended to look at her math materials, occasionally yawning.
Huo Xian and Xuan Yuan Hao Cheng were practicing their problems on the table. The afternoon breeze lifted the curtains, carrying a slightly cool temperature that gently brushed against their hair.
When Huo Qi returned to the Huo residence, he saw this peaceful and harmonious scene.
He immediately fixed his gaze on Lin Ruanruan, who was sitting on the sofa, barely able to stand, and Huo Qi's lips curled into a smile. He had originally come back temporarily to pick up some documents, but there was an unexpected surprise.
Huo Qi stepped into the living room and went straight to Lin Ruanruan's side. Lin Ruanruan was already extremely distracted while memorizing words; she was thinking about how to edit her short video while she was reciting words aloud.
She saw Huo Qi as soon as he arrived, and she quickly stood up to greet him, "Brother Huo!"

"Then I bet you also gave her a gift," Huo Qi replied. After all, Ruan Ruan is the kind of person who repays kindness tenfold.
Lin Ruanruan nodded, "Yes, I gave them to my grandparents. They gave them braised duck made by my grandparents."
"I've never had my grandparents' braised duck before. Is it delicious?" Huo Qi smiled.
"It's super delicious! If you want some, Brother Huo, I'll bring you some next time!" Lin Ruanruan looked at Huo Qi with sparkling eyes.
Huo Qi wanted to chat with Lin Ruanruan for a while, but his phone rang. He glanced apologetically at Lin Ruanruan and answered the call.
Huo Qi put his phone back in his pocket and pinched Lin Ruanruan's cheek again. "We'll talk next time. Remember to call me if anything comes up."
Lin Ruanruan nodded quickly, knowing that Huo Qi had been extremely busy lately.
After pinching Lin Ruanruan, Huo Qi walked over to Huo Xian and tapped Huo Xian's head with his index finger. "I'm going to take the documents and leave right away. I won't be coming back here. You better take good care of your friend, okay?"
Huo Xian pried Huo Qi's fingers apart, "Okay~"
Huo Qi chuckled; Ah Xian's temper was just as bad as his father's.
He then looked at Xuan Yuan Hao Cheng and Fang Lan, "Younger brothers, take your time with your studies. If you want anything to eat or drink, just ask Ah Xian to arrange it for you."
Xuan Yuan Hao Cheng nodded, "Don't worry, Brother Qi."
Fang Lan smiled and said, "Brother Huo, don't worry about us, you go about your business!"
After saying goodbye to them, Huo Qi left in a hurry. Lin Ruanruan lay back on the sofa, looking at Huo Qi's back with a sullen expression.
Fang Lan moved closer to Lin Ruanruan and asked, "Oh, you're reluctant to part with her?"
Lin Ruanruan sighed, "Mm."
She really enjoys spending time with Brother Huo, but he's been incredibly busy lately, and they've barely even chatted on WeChat. They only managed to meet today.
Fang Lan clicked his tongue twice, sensing something was off about the two of them. He was about to tease Lin Ruanruan when he saw Huo Xian looking at him.
Fang Lan quickly covered his face with his math materials, pretending to be very serious. He had recently become genuinely afraid of Huo Xian; when she got strict, she was just like their old teacher.
Huo Xian nodded in satisfaction as Fang Lan resumed reviewing the math materials. A study group should act like a study group.
Fang Lan quietly moved next to Lin Ruanruan, "I think Huo Xian could be a teacher in the future, this person is too imposing!"
