Chapter 69 Final Exam Grades

Lin Ruanruan lay on her desk, yawning lazily, and said, "I really want to eat at Li Ji again, it's so delicious."

Huo Xian, who was sitting in front of her, turned her head with a smile, "What, didn't you get enough to eat on Saturday?"

Lin Ruanruan nodded, "Their braised fish is absolutely amazing, and my favorite braised pork knuckle is so tender!"

Xuan Yuan Hao Cheng sat beside her, speechless, and said, "You really can eat a lot."

He witnessed firsthand on Saturday how Brother Qi and Brother Fang fed Lin Ruanruan.

They practically treated Lin Ruanruan like a piglet, and later even Xianxian was vying to serve her food.

Lin Ruanruan was also very loving, accepting everything without question.

Lin Ruanruan retorted, "I didn't eat much. It's just that Brother Huo, Brother Fang Si, and Xianxian kept putting food on my plate, and I couldn't bear to refuse."

Huo Xian nodded in agreement, "Ruan Ruan doesn't eat much; she can't even eat half of Fang Lan's."

Fang Lan, who was laughing so hard her stomach hurt from reading lame jokes on her phone, looked up blankly and asked, "Huh? Huo Xian, are you calling me?"

Huo Xian shook her head, about to say something, when she saw the homeroom teacher walk in with the report card, head held high and chest puffed out.

The homeroom teacher, dressed in casual clothes, walked with the air of an ancient Chinese square walker, his every step silencing the entire room.

She quickly sat up straight, curious about her ranking.

Lin Ruanruan also straightened up from her desk to show respect for their imaginative homeroom teacher.

Her eyes were fixed on the large stack of forms in her homeroom teacher's hand, wondering if God and the Virgin Mary had heard her prayers.

Meanwhile, the homeroom teacher on stage wore a beaming smile, as if he were hosting a wedding. He greeted all the students with a wide grin.

Good morning, dear students!

"Today the sun is shining brightly, laughter is filling the air, and good fortune abounds. On this beautiful, romantic, and heartwarming day, I have some good news to share with you all!"

Fang Lan stopped looking at his phone and looked at his teacher on the podium with a grin. His teacher was really too funny.

He obligingly chimed in, "Great!"

Then they clapped loudly, and the atmosphere was so good that the whole class joined in with thunderous applause.

The commotion was so great that the teacher deliberately left the door open. The sound traveled through the air into the corridor, like a drop of cold water falling into hot oil, causing it to explode and instantly turning the quiet corridor into a lively place.

Students from other classes were curious about why Class 13 in the corner was making such a commotion today.

As for their respective homeroom teachers, they all subtly rolled their eyes at the direction of Class 13, cursing inwardly.

The homeroom teacher couldn't help but smile. He gestured for the room to quiet down, "In this final exam, our class has four students who ranked in the top 10 of the grade!"

He's going to have a great year this winter; he'll be rolling in bonuses.

The whole class started to cheer, and they all looked in the direction of Huo Xian and the others. Huo Xian, Xuan Yuan Hao Cheng, and Fang Lan were definitely among the four, but who was the third one?

Many of the people present were academically weak, otherwise they wouldn't have been assigned to Class 13. They all consciously excluded themselves from the class.

The homeroom teacher didn't keep them in suspense any longer; he simply announced, "First place in the grade: Fang Lan; second place: Huo Xian; third place: Xuan Yuan Hao Cheng."

"Among them, Huo Xian and Xuan Yuan Hao Cheng had the same score, and Xuan Yuan Hao Cheng was ranked third according to the pinyin order."

Every time the homeroom teacher read out a name, a gasp would erupt from the class, and the underachievers would eagerly turn to look at the few academic geniuses in the corner by the window.

The homeroom teacher cleared her throat again, "There's another student who has made great progress. She ranked 10th in the grade this time, narrowly beating the 11th-ranked student by just one point."

All eyes in the class turned to the homeroom teacher; they were all curious about who this person was.

"Lin Ruanruan is ranked 10th in the grade!"

The homeroom teacher had barely finished speaking when

The whole class erupted in a burst of excitement. What? Lin Ruanruan!

The girl with the round face exclaimed in surprise, "Lin Ruanruan got 10th place in the grade! That's amazing!"

Fang Lan whistled at Lin Ruanruan, "Sister Ruan, not bad! Now the serfs have turned the tables and are singing songs of triumph!"

Huo Xian happily turned around and held Lin Ruanruan's hand, even more excited than if she had gotten second place herself.

Lin Ruanruan looked completely bewildered. "I ranked 10th in the grade?"

Did the Jade Emperor, the Queen Mother of the West, and God the Holy Mother all hear her wish?

Does that mean she has to go and fulfill her vow?

Before Lin Ruanruan could even begin to think, the homeroom teacher on the podium had already praised Huo Xian and the others, "Look at Huo Xian and Xuan Yuanhaocheng, they not only bring honor to the school, but they also study very hard. I often see them studying diligently at their desks after class instead of going out to play..."

Fang Lan secretly pursed his lips; the homeroom teacher was definitely leaving him behind on purpose. But he didn't care and continued playing on his phone; being a homeroom teacher meant he talked a lot.

Sure enough, after talking about Huo Xian and the other two, the homeroom teacher shifted the focus to Lin Ruanruan, "Take another look at Lin Ruanruan!"

Lin Ruanruan was startled by the teacher's words and almost broke the pencil lead she was drawing with. She looked at the teacher in surprise and doubt. Why was the teacher bringing her up for no reason?

The homeroom teacher praised Lin Ruanruan extensively, praising her from head to toe, "Lin Ruanruan is an honest and reliable child. Usually, when I ask you to do something, you all make excuses, but Lin Ruanruan is very obedient."

“Last time I saw trash in the hallway outside, I asked several classmates to clean it up, but none of them did it.”

Han Zhen, sitting below the podium, rolled her eyes at the direction of the homeroom teacher. She knew immediately that the teacher was talking about her, but she wasn't there to sweep the trash. Why should she be the one to do it? It's not like the school doesn't have sanitation workers.
