It's finally over. I signed the contract in September 2018, and now it's October 2020. It's been more than two years. I had been thinking about ending it, but now I feel a little lost.
This book is arguably the most ambitious and meticulously crafted book Lao Mo has ever written.
She might burst into laughter at funny plots, or shed tears at sad ones, and even cry alone in the middle of the night because of writer's block and immense pressure.
This is the first time Lao Mo has written a book with so many characters. Plus, he's a perfectionist and doesn't want to disappoint his readers, so writing it always feels particularly difficult. He'd rather not write it at all, or give up his six-month bonus and stop updating, than just write something perfunctorily.
Lao Mo knows that some people will like it and some won't, but Lao Mo can say with a clear conscience that he really did his best and hopes that those who like it won't be disappointed.
