Side Story 16: The Mysterious Woman

Di Mufeng knew very well what kind of person was being held here, and immediately sent her a wary telepathic message: "She is very likely trying to use us to help her escape. Let's just observe and ignore her."

"Um."

Although Di Muyun had been spoiled since childhood and was somewhat unruly, she was not stupid. After being reminded like this, she immediately realized what was going on and nodded to indicate that she would no longer pay attention to it.

"You can find out who I am yourself."

The woman's voice continued unhurriedly, "You're so capable, finding me won't disappoint you."

"Little sister."

Seeing that Di Muyun was about to speak again, Di Mufei immediately tugged at her sleeve, telling her to calm down.

"Um."

Although Di Muyun was unhappy about being humiliated like this, she still held back.

However, the thought of soon being able to see this mysterious place immediately cheered me up.

The woman in the shadows seemed to have given up because she couldn't get a response, and she never spoke again after that.

The two little siblings walked hand in hand through the dark prison cell. The little boy's eyes were full of wisdom, while the little girl's eyes revealed an excitement that seemed out of place in her current environment.

Seeing this, Di Mufei, who happened to turn around and see her, couldn't help but sigh deeply. What could he do? She was his own sister, so he had to spoil her.

Out of curiosity, the two walked through the rows of cells. Only then did they realize that this infernal prison not only had an outer array, but each cell also had its own small array. It could be said that the arrangement was very careful.

“The Father God once said that those imprisoned here are the most heinous of beings, so why not just execute them directly instead of imprisoning them here?”

Seeing how carefully the place was decorated, the girl said with some dissatisfaction, "Isn't this just redundant?"

"Aunt Li said that this was to eliminate the hostility in them."

The little boy's ears twitched slightly, and he said seriously, "It's also to make them atone for the mistakes they made. Death alone is too easy for them. It's also a way to give the lives of the victims some closure."

"Heh, all talk of benevolence and morality, but in reality, he's extremely cruel."

At this moment, that alluring female voice rang out again, but this time it actually came right next to my ear.

"Watch out, little sister!"

Immediately, the little boy quickly shielded the little girl behind him, and then looked to his side.

Only then did they see that in the side cage sat a graceful woman, slender and seemingly weak and frail, without any obvious threat or lethality.

Such a demeanor can easily make people lower their guard and feel contempt.

However, Di Mufeng became wary instead; this woman was far from simple.

"How dare you slander my parents! Do you even know who they are?!"

The little girl was clearly very protective of her child, and couldn't help but retort, "Say it out loud..."

"Needless to say, I could guess."

The woman stood up and walked step by step to the edge of the cell. As she got closer, it became clear that while she wasn't exceptionally beautiful, she was of average appearance. However, the sinister look in her eyes and brows was impossible to conceal.

"Little sister, don't waste your breath on her."

Di Mufei gave the woman a cold look, then grabbed the girl's hand and started to leave.

"What? The son of a god-emperor doesn't even have the courage to speak to a prisoner like me?"
