Chapter 106: Slap in the face

Chapter 106: Slap in the face

Su Wenbin asked everyone to sit down. He took out the marriage certificate he had prepared long ago and placed it in Chen Ya's hand in front of everyone.

"This is the marriage certificate I wrote a long time ago. As for the wedding date, I will come to your house in person after I choose it."

He was wearing plain clothes, and his tone of voice was gentle, with a hint of smile in his eyes.

Chen Ya looked at the thing in her hand and inexplicably felt some weight. Her eyebrows curved slightly, and then she nodded heavily.

"good."

Hearing this, Su Linlin felt more and more uneasy. She stared at Su Wenbin silently, and all the words she wanted to say were stuck in her mouth.

Feng Lan remained seated, watching them silently. She was afraid that they might do something bad, so she didn't dare to move.

"What exactly do you want us to come here for?" Su Su couldn't control her temper and asked directly.

When Mrs. Su heard this, she slowly raised her eyebrows, and there was a hint of sarcasm in her words.

"I forgot you were still standing here. I do have something to discuss with you, and it's a big deal."

She had suffered so much injustice over the years that she didn't know where to start. There was a hint of fatigue in her eyes.

Su Su still looked arrogant as she stood in her position, raised her head slightly, and spoke in a commanding tone.

"If you're not discussing marriage, forget it. We have nothing to discuss with you."

She kept her eyes on Su Wenbin, as if she wanted to find out something, and her expression was very dull.

Hearing this, the corners of Madam Su's mouth twitched slightly, and she looked at them as if they were fools.

"Even if we're discussing marriage, what does that have to do with you? I called you here today for something else. Let the master talk."

She had never treated Su Su like this before, but after what happened last time, everything began to turn around.

Su Su frowned slightly, with a hint of confusion in her eyes. Her gaze fell on the master's face, full of doubts.

"Brother, what exactly did you call us here for?"

She became angry when she thought about their attitude towards her after coming here, and the more she thought about it, the more uncomfortable she felt.

The county magistrate slowly stood up, put his hands behind his back, looked at her face, and blinked slightly.

"It's easy to call you here. You framed my child a while ago and ruined the business in the shop. I have to settle this account."

He can sit in this position because he must be quite capable. His tone of voice and style of doing things are different from others.

Su Su's brows were tightly furrowed, with a hint of disgust in her eyes, but her tone of voice was still righteous.

"If you hadn't done those unjust things first, how could I possibly treat you like this?"

Even at this point, he still refused to plead guilty. The county magistrate's eyes were full of disappointment and he sneered.

"From today on, we will sever ties with you. Don't come to us again." His tone was light, but very powerful.

Su Su's eyes immediately widened, and she stared at the county magistrate angrily. She couldn't believe it, so she opened her mouth and questioned him directly.

"Brother, are you confused? How dare you say such words? Have you forgotten the oath you swore to your parents?"

Although she was an adopted child, her parents loved her very much. Before they died, they were afraid that she would suffer, so they forced the county magistrate to swear that they would treat her well.

When the county magistrate heard this, he put his hands behind his back, his eyes lacking much warmth. He just looked at them silently, then looked away.

"I haven't forgotten. I've been very kind to you all these years. I've turned a blind eye to many things. Don't think I don't know."

There are too many people watching him sitting in this position, and some things are inconvenient for him to handle, but that doesn't mean he is a fool.

When Master Su Er heard this, he felt a little uneasy, but he did not show it very obviously on the surface. He just coughed lightly.

"Brother, if there's anything between us, we can discuss it properly. There's no need to resort to such tactics. How harsh is it to say we're breaking off relations?"

Many of the businesses he holds now rely on his status as a county magistrate. If he misses out on this opportunity, it will be a heavy blow to them.

"I treat you well, but you have never thought of treating my children well, and you always make things difficult for us!" The county magistrate spoke slowly with a cold tone.

Several people looked at each other, with different lights in their eyes. Su Linlin looked the most panicked, and she quickly stepped forward to look at Su Wenbin.

"Cousin, you have to make the decision for me about this matter. Please persuade your father not to sever ties with us no matter what." She spoke while crying.

Su Su reacted quickly, pointing at their noses and scolding them. She looked like a shrew and had no image at all.

"Brother, you are just old and confused, that's why you regard a piece of stone as a treasure. How good can Chen Ya, a girl from the countryside, be? She will be just like this after marrying into your family!"

The look in her eyes when she looked at them was full of disgust, and even the tone of her voice was extremely vicious.

"Besides, aren't you afraid? If I'm here, your business will never be able to do well. Su Wenbin, don't you think about it?"

She couldn't suppress her inner thoughts, and her tone of voice was very direct, even a little threatening.

Chen Ya didn't say a word from beginning to end, but when she heard these words, there was a hint of coldness on her face.

"You can give it a try. With your ability, you are nothing if you leave the Su family."

Some people just rely on their status to cooperate with them, but in fact anyone can cooperate with them.

Hearing this, Su Su's face turned ugly, and she started to scold him, "What do you think you are capable of? How dare you talk about me?"

Several people were arguing with each other, and everyone's words were unpleasant. Su Linlin was even more dissatisfied, but she felt more wronged.

She looked at Su Wenbin not far away, her tone of voice was very light, and so was the expression on her face.

"Cousin, are you really going to marry her? She's not good at anything, and she comes from a poor family. How can I be worthy of you?"

"She is a million times better than you, so stop being so self-indulgent here!" Su Wenbin retorted, then retracted his gaze and stopped looking at her.
