Chapter 203 Lost Weight
"How's it going tonight?"
Lin Yuanyuan said excitedly, looking around, "Anyway, there are waiters watching over the restaurant, so it doesn't matter if you're not here."
Sanya thought about it and nodded in agreement, "Okay, but I have to go back and change my clothes first."
“No need to change!”
Lin Yuanyuan waved her hand. "You're fine the way you are now. It's more natural. There's no need for a grand ceremony."
San Ya looked down at her outfit. It was an ordinary green cloth dress with an apron on the outside. It was indeed not very formal. I'm afraid it might not be a good look.
"Is this really okay?" she asked cautiously.
"sure!"
Lin Yuanyuan said affirmatively, "My father hates those who put on airs the most. You are already very good."
The two of them were busy in the restaurant for the whole afternoon, and only went to the governor's mansion together in the evening.
When they arrived at the gate of the mansion, the gatekeeper saw Lin Yuanyuan and hurriedly saluted with a particularly proper attitude.
"The lady is back."
"Well, this is my friend Sanya."
Lin Yuanyuan introduced, "My father wants to see her, please let us in quickly."
The servant glanced at San Ya and nodded politely.
"Miss San Ya, please."
"take it easy."
Lin Yuanyuan held her hand and said warmly, "Just treat it as your own home."
Soon, they arrived at the front hall. San Ya sat in her seat and looked at these things with a calm expression.
The governor was already waiting there, and as he watched them coming, there was a faint smile in his eyes.
"Dad, San Ya is here." Lin Yuanyuan pulled San Ya forward and spoke in a particularly cheerful tone.
Sanya quickly bowed and said, "Greetings, Your Excellency the Governor."
The governor looked carefully at the girl in front of him. He had only given her a quick glance the last time and hadn't paid much attention to her.
"Miss San Ya, please stand up."
The governor said gently, "Sit down and talk. We are family now. There is no need to be so formal."
San Ya raised her head and secretly glanced at the governor. He looked quite kind, and she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Miss San Ya, thank you for taking care of Yuanyuan. You have been working hard during this period."
The governor got straight to the point and said, "I've spoiled this girl since she was a child. Has she caused you any trouble?"
"No, no."
Sanya quickly waved her hands, "Yuanyuan is a very nice person, and very smart. She learns things very quickly, but she is a bit overbearing."
Lin Yuanyuan listened from the side, her face full of smiles, and she couldn't help but praise herself, "Dad, I said Sanya is a good person!"
The governor smiled and nodded, then asked some more questions about the restaurant's operation. Both of them basically answered truthfully without hiding anything.
As they were chatting, the housekeeper came in to report, with his head slightly lowered.
"Master, the meal is ready."
"Okay, let's go eat."
The governor stood up and quickly entertained them, "Miss San Ya, don't be polite, just treat us like your own home."
The governor asked about some other things, and San Ya basically answered truthfully, and even told him about Er Ya.
As soon as San Ya finished speaking, the governor's face changed and his expression became very serious.
"What are you doing in Shangjing?"
San Ya lowered her head and didn't see any change in his expression. She subconsciously responded, "Be a doctor."
The governor frowned. Shangjing was a very complicated place. What good could come of it if a little girl practiced medicine there?
When he thought of this, he suddenly felt a little melancholy and couldn't help but sigh.
"What's her name?"
"Erya." Sanya answered honestly, raised her head slightly, met their eyes, and blinked gently.
Lin Yuanyuan was listening from the side, a little curious, and said innocently, "Sanya, your sister is really amazing. She can become a doctor at such a young age."
A faint light flashed across San Ya's eyes, and she forced a smile. "She has been interested in medicine since she was a child. It's good that she can finally learn it."
The governor did not ask any more questions, but he had already memorized the name in his heart. However, his expression was very serious. After the meal, he personally sent San Ya to the door.
"Miss San Ya, if you have any difficulties in the future, just come to me and I will definitely help you."
San Ya bowed and thanked Lin Yuanyuan, then left the governor's mansion with her. Only after the two of them left did they start chattering.
On the way, Lin Yuanyuan kept talking excitedly, with a faint smile in her eyes.
"My dad has a very good impression of you!"
"Really?" San Ya couldn't believe it and didn't know what to say.
"Of course! I can see that he admires you very much, so don't worry."
Lin Yuanyuan held Sanya's hand and said, "From now on, we will be real friends! Just tell me what you want to say when the time comes."
San Ya nodded, but she was still thinking about the stone. Her answers were intermittent and she didn't take it too seriously.
When they returned to their residence, Feng Lan was waiting for them in the yard. She saw the two of them from a distance.
"You're back? How's the governor? Will he give you any trouble?"
"I'm fine." San Ya said a few simple words and went back to her room to rest. She was in a bad mood.
Feng Lan looked at her daughter's tired back and felt more and more uncomfortable. She couldn't help but sigh and let out a breath.
At night, Feng Lan tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep. A slight sound came from the next room, as if someone was turning over.
"Okay, take a rest quickly. We can't persuade you to do anything about these things." Chen Kangbo said.
Feng Lan knew it and couldn't help shaking her head. She fell asleep unknowingly.
The next morning, San Ya went to the restaurant to work as usual. She immersed herself in various affairs, without stopping for a moment, and was extremely busy.
Feng Lan watched from the side and felt so distressed. San Ya had lost a lot of weight since she found out about getting on the bus.
At noon, Feng Lan found an excuse to call San Ya back home, intending to have a good talk with her about these things.
"Mom, there's still something going on at the restaurant." San Ya was a little impatient, but couldn't help but stand there.
"What's more important than your health? Are you unwilling to come back even though I asked you to?"
Feng Lan frowned, "Look at how much weight you've lost these past few days."
San Ya touched her face and didn't feel thinner. "No, I'm fine. Besides, I've been too busy these days."
"You still say no!"
Feng Lan looked at her daughter distressedly, "You have dark circles under your eyes, and you still say you're fine? You just know how to show off."
San Ya was silent, not knowing what to say for a moment, and couldn't help but lower her head slightly.
Feng Lan sighed, "Girl, you can't go on like this. You should take care of yourself."
"What's wrong with me? I'm fine, aren't I?" San Ya forced a smile and pretended to be very calm.
