"I'll search for you." He said, placing his hands on Qiao Xia's shoulders and slowly moving them down.
"What are you doing?" Qiao Xia and her father, one forcefully slapped his hand away, and the other slapped him across the face.
At the same time, dozens of guns were pointed at Qiao Xia. Zhao Yuncheng instinctively drew his gun and stood in front of Qiao Xia.
Mu Xiaogui raised his hand, signaling the people behind him to put down their guns, but a hint of ruthlessness flashed in his eyes.
He rested his head on Qiao Xia's shoulder and whispered, "Guests are guests, I won't hold this slap against you."
Then, with lightning speed, he snatched the gun from Zhao Yuncheng's hand and held it to his head, saying, "But bringing this kind of thing onto my ship is against my rules."
Qiao Xia's eyes flashed, and she snatched the gun back, pressing it against his chest. "But I came here today to settle accounts."
Mu Xiaogui raised his hands, his calm tone tinged with a hint of madness, "Insurance's on, watch out for accidental discharge, hahaha..."
Qiao Xia's ears hurt from his laughter, and in her excitement, she shoved the gun barrel into his mouth, only to have him unload the bullets.
Mu Xiaogui moved Qiao Xia's hand away, then affectionately pressed her down in front of the card table, "Play with me, and I'll settle all your accounts if you have a good time."
After saying that, he swayed and sat down opposite Qiao Xia, calling out to the equally drunk men and women in the distance, "Look who I brought?"
Most of the people who hang out with Mu Xiaogui are collateral relatives of various aristocratic families, as well as some old gamblers who are immersed in gambling at the gambling table.
Qiao Xia had no prior interaction with them, and even though they put their faces right up to hers, she still couldn't figure them out.
Mu Xiaogui was clearly not satisfied with everyone's performance, so he swayed back to stand behind Qiao Xia, pointed at her and shouted, "This is the eldest daughter of the Qiao family, oh no, it should be the former eldest daughter of the Qiao family—Qiao Xia!"
The crowd immediately started discussing it. Although they were from the same family, they were in different circles. Everyone knew that when the Qiao family fell from grace, it was the Third Young Master Mu who was behind the scenes.
Many of them had never even met Mu San, so they were naturally unaware of the inside story, though they had heard their families boast about how much of the Qiao family's property they had divided up.
As a result, everyone started discussing it.
"Didn't the Qiao family fall from grace? Why is she able to get on the Mu family's side?"
"I heard the Qiao family owes a lot of money. Could it be that they plan to use the money they won gambling on the ship to pay off their debts?"
As soon as this speculation was made, many people nodded in agreement. They had seen many desperate gamblers on the ship, all thinking they could turn their fortunes around in the casino, but in the end they often lost everything.
The young men who had once ventured down into the ship's hold on a grand adventure couldn't help but shudder.
The three people who heard the keywords exchanged a secret glance.
The young master, swirling his wine glass, scoffed, "Even if you want to gamble, you need capital. When they first boarded the ship, they couldn't even come up with thirty million. Do they have the qualifications to gamble with Young Master Mu?"
Although he was able to board the ship thanks to his uncles, and although he himself couldn't come up with 30 million, it didn't stop him from using that as a starting point to praise Young Master Mu.
Mu Xiaogui cast a cold glance at him, and the man quickly covered his mouth, clearly having made a fool of himself by trying to flatter someone.
But aren't the Qiao and Mu families mortal enemies? He didn't say anything excessive, so why did Mu Xiaogui get angry?
Mu Xiaogui squatted down, her gaze towards Qiao Xia even softening slightly. "How about this? Ten million per round, double for the second round, and so on, capped at two hundred million. If you win, the money is yours. If you lose, you only need to answer one question for me. How about that?"
Qiao Xia: "I don't know how to play cards."
Mu Xiaogui persisted, "If you don't have any bargaining chips, I can lend them to you."
Qiao Xia crossed her arms and said, "If you really want to play, I can lend you my dad."
Mu Xiaogui took a deep breath and sat back down in the chair opposite him.
He waved his hand, and dozens of guns were simultaneously pressed against Zhao Yuncheng's head. "I didn't kill him just now to give Miss Qiao face, but since Miss Qiao doesn't give me face, then I can only do it my way."
Qiao Xia sighed and sat up straight. "I can play with you, but I'm here to get justice."
“That’s easy to do.” Mu Xiaogui took out ten million chips and pushed them forward. “Let’s add another clause. Whoever has more chips on the table at the end will get the justice you want if you win, and if you lose, I’ll smash his head in.”
Qiao Xia looked up and asked, "When will this game end?"
Mu Xiaogui laughed and said, "If you've run out of chips, then it's over. Do you need me to lend you some money?"
"No need." Qiao Xia handed the card to Zhao Yuncheng. "Take out ten million first."
“However, my dad is getting old, aren’t you going to treat him properly?” Qiao Xia raised an eyebrow at Mu Xiaogui.
His gaze swept back and forth between Qiao Xia and Qiao Zhaoxing, seemingly finding Qiao Zhaoxing to be no threat, and then waved for someone to take him away.
In the instant he brushed past Qiao Zhaoxing, Zhao Yuncheng swiftly clipped a pinhole camera to his chest.
Qiao Zhaoxing left with a mix of excitement and awkwardness.
At the gambling table, Mu Xiaogui shuffled the cards twice and threw them to the dealer. "For the first round, we'll play the simplest game, Big or Small."
Mu Xiaogui was the first to reveal her cards—8, 9, and 10.
Qiao Xia's hand consisted of 3, 6, and 8. Not only were they scattered cards, but the highest card she had was the same as Mu Xiaogui's lowest card.
The outcome was clear, and the dealer returned all of Qiao Xia's chips to Mu Xiaogui's table.
"You lost." Mu Xiaogui spread her hands. "First question, what is your relationship with Mu San?"
“Stranger,” Qiao Xia answered without the slightest hesitation.
She was telling the truth. Mu San was an illegitimate child who was only recognized by the Mu family when he was ten years old, and was sent abroad a few years later.
Even in China, the treatment of Mu San was very different from that of Qiao Xia, who was pampered by everyone. It could be said that Qiao Xia had only heard of Mu San's name but had never seen him in person.
But Mu Xiaogui clearly didn't believe this claim. "The next game is 20 million. Want to play?"
“Of course.” Qiao Xia gave Zhao Yuncheng a wink, and he cooperated by exchanging another 20 million in chips.
As expected, Qiao Xia lost again.
"My second question is, why did Mu San give you a car? What is your relationship with him?"
Qiao Xia slyly curled the corners of her lips. "These are two separate issues."
Mu Xiaogui shrugged. "Then let's answer the first one."
Qiao Xia said seriously, "It's not a gift, it's a purchase."
Mu Xiaogui nodded indifferently, but his expression still showed that he did not believe it.
Qiao Xia countered, "It seems you're really interested in Mu San?"
Mu Xiaogui said angrily, "I'm asking you, the third round is forty million."
Zhao Yuncheng cooperated by placing 40 million chips on the table.
By the third round, many people had come to their senses. They might not trust their elders, but they would never doubt Mu San's methods.
The Qiao family is clearly bankrupt, so why can Qiao Xia still come up with so much money?
On the contrary, Mu Xiaogui didn't seem surprised.
