Chapter 101 Luncheon Meat

During lunchtime.

Jiang Dai noticed that her third son, who usually ate a bowl and a half, had only eaten a little more than half a bowl today.

"Yun'an, are you not feeling well? Why did you only eat so little today?"

Bai Yun'an looked up at his mother and gave her a sweet smile: "I'm not very hungry today, and I don't feel unwell, so don't worry, Mother."

But I kept regretting it.

[It's just luncheon meat! How could I resist eating two extra cans!]

Now, I simply can't eat anything!

Juanjuan seemed about to speak but hesitated.

Although she didn't know what her third brother was talking about, it sounded delicious, and she wanted to eat it too.

But this was her third brother's secret, and she had overheard it secretly. She couldn't tell anyone; it would be terrible if she did!

But what Juanjuan didn't expect was...

In the afternoon, her third brother insisted on dragging her along to dig for wild vegetables.

Bai Yun'an squatted down under a big tree and removed the branches that were blocking the view.

"Juanjuan, your brother found something great, look!"

Curious, Juanjuan looked over and saw an oil paper package.

Bai Yun'an opened the oil paper package, revealing the luncheon meat inside.

Juanjuan looked at the square object inside the oil paper package.

"Third Brother, what is this?"

Bai Yun'an smiled and said, "It smells delicious, you should try it!"

The little guy, squatting on the ground, lowered his head and sniffed. It smelled a bit sweet, and Juanjuan swallowed a little, feeling a bit greedy.

"Brother, you can't eat these things! They'll kill you!"

Juanjuan suppressed her craving with her last shred of reason.

Bai Yun'an waved his hand: "Eat up! I've already eaten, it's delicious, and it won't kill you!"

When faced with his wary younger sister, Bai Yun'an could easily come up with lies to deceive children.

He beckoned Juanjuan closer, lowered his voice, and created a mysterious atmosphere: "Juanjuan, I'm telling you something, but you absolutely mustn't tell anyone else!"

Juanjuan breathed much softer and listened attentively to what her third brother was about to whisper.

Noticing Juanjuan's little tricks, Bai Yun'an couldn't help but smile, and then began to coax the child.

“I went out to pick wild vegetables today and met an old woman who said she had lost her axe and asked me to help her find it.”

"I helped her find the axe, and she gave me this as a thank you. I didn't eat a proper meal this morning because I ate two pieces of this!"

"Third Brother loves Juanjuan the most. That old woman wouldn't let Third Brother tell Father and Mother, she wanted to keep it a secret, but Third Brother just wanted to share it with Juanjuan. Third Brother, you're so good!"

After Bai Yun'an finished speaking, he sat down and waited for Juanjuan to praise him.

"Thank you, brother, but... you already promised the old woman, and now you're asking me to come again. That's going back on your word."

Bai Yun'an: ? Huh?

Is this child out of her mind? Shouldn't a normal little girl feel that her brother is nicer and favors her? Why is she lecturing her?

Juanjuan lowered her head.

She felt she had done nothing wrong; she had promised to keep her word.

Although her third brother meant for her to try it, he didn't keep his word.

"Okay, okay, Third Brother was wrong. I'll apologize to Grandma when I see her another day. Besides, my little sister is so cute and sensible, Grandma will like Juanjuan and won't blame you!"

Bai Yun'an hurriedly comforted the child, and then said:

"As long as Juanjuan keeps the secret, Grandma won't blame us two innocent and lovely children."

Bai Yun'an is now eager to unlock the favorability value as soon as possible, so that she can get all kinds of delicious food in the space, as well as soft and comfortable toilet paper and some very useful tools.

It's so tempting to look at those things every day but not be able to touch them!

Juanjuan looked at her brother: "Are you really not going to blame us?"

Bai Yun'an nodded helplessly: "No! As long as Juanjuan doesn't tell anyone else, Grandma won't blame us two kids."

"That……"

Under Bai Yun'an's gaze, Juanjuan extended her hand: "Pinky promise?"

"Pinky promise!"

Bai Yun'an skillfully made a pinky promise with the little guy.

"Pinky promise, a hundred years from now, only a dog would lie..."

Juanjuan recalled what her mother had said, and said it while making a pinky promise with her third brother.

"Alright, eat up!"

Bai Yun'an stuffed the luncheon meat into Juanjuan's hand.

Juanjuan looked down, then broke the luncheon meat in half and handed one large piece to Bai Yun'an.

"Brother, you eat too."

Baiyun settled in, not expecting that Juanjuan would share with him.

Looking into the little guy's determined eyes, Bai Yun'an reached out and took it.

Seeing her brother take the half, Juanjuan lowered her head and began to eat.

Then, the little guy's eyes lit up instantly, and the expression on his face became noticeably more vivid.

"Brother, it's really delicious!"

"Then eat more."

Bai Yun'an handed over the half piece he was holding.

Holding half a piece of luncheon meat in front of me, I ate it in small bites, as if it were a precious treasure.

Bai Yun'an found it both cute and ridiculous.

It's like raising a puppy who had a very poor life before. After bringing her home, you give her a handful of dog food that other puppies wouldn't eat, and she thinks it's a good thing.

I secretly wondered what kind of reaction this little guy would have if I fed him other good things.

[Will it try to rub against my pants leg?]

This thought popped into Bai Yun'an's mind in an instant.
