Chapter 103 She didn't ask him to repay her with his body.

Seeing that the man didn't speak, Song Ning scoffed, turned around, and left.

She needed to find the way quickly, otherwise Song Dahai and Liu Yuelan would be worried, and the team's journey would be delayed.

Song Ning carried her bag and walked down the valley, thinking she could find a way no matter what. But when she saw the mountain of rocks in front of her, she gave up.

The valley looked like it should have been passable, but rocks had fallen from the mountain and blocked the exit, telling her that the road was impassable.

Returning the way we came, it seems the only option is to try and find a solution from above.

When they returned to where they started, the food she had left on the ground was gone, and she lay there motionless.

Song Ning plopped down on the ground and sighed.

Hearing her sigh, Xie Linzhou turned around and saw Song Ning's face clearly.

His clothes were tattered, his face was so dirty that his features were unrecognizable, and his hair was more tangled than dry straw; he was clearly a refugee.

After a long silence, Song Ning asked, "Where did you come from?"

Xie Linzhou glanced at it.

Feelings can fall too, you know.

Song Ning looked up and observed the slope above them. It was better than where she had fallen from; at least there were still a few trees on it.

She took out her climbing rope, spotted the nearest tree, and started climbing.

The sand was just too soft; I climbed two steps and retreated three, and even after sweating profusely, I still couldn't reach it.

She was panting heavily from exhaustion, but Xie Linzhou, lying there, burst out laughing.

Song Ning said irritably, "What are you laughing at? If you're so capable, go up there yourself."

He can't even move himself, yet he's still laughing at her. What gives him the nerve?

"Heal me first. Once you've healed me, I'll take you up there."

Xie Linzhou's health has improved a lot, which he finds incredible.

His injuries would take at least six months to heal, but overnight he felt much better, and even the wounds didn't hurt as much.

You know, even with the best medicine, his injuries would take at least ten days to half a month to heal. And could her bag even hold that much stuff?

Thinking of this, his gaze toward Song Ning became scrutinizing.

"What if you don't get better in ten days or half a month? I don't want to stay here that long."

If she couldn't get up there, she just hoped the village chief and the others could bring back a message and come down to find her.

Looking at the man in front of her, Song Ning said irritably, "You don't think that taking me up here will erase the fact that you kicked me last night, do you?"

Xie Linzhou took a deep breath: "I didn't see clearly last night. Don't worry, I will repay you."

"Stop with empty words, tell me how you plan to repay me."

"What do you want?" Xie Linzhou asked calmly.

Song Ning looked the man up and down and laughed, "Of course, it's the most valuable thing you have."

Xie Linzhou frowned slightly, then suddenly realized and exclaimed incredulously, "You, you're so young, yet you're so shameless!"

Song Ning was taken aback. Now asking for money is considered shameless? She didn't ask him to repay her with his body.

"Hey bro, you don't want to spout any big words? Tch, stingy."

Xie Linzhou choked. Was this pettiness? This was a matter of dignity!

"I agree to everything except this."

She didn't care about anything else; all she wanted was money.

Song Ning remained silent, deciding to let it go and consider it an act of kindness.

As Song Ning threw firewood into the fire, she asked, "When will your injury finally heal?"

Given the previous conversation, Song Ning's question sounded somewhat ambiguous to Xie Linzhou.

This little girl was indeed after his body.

"It will take at least ten days to half a month."

Song Ning threw the wooden stick on the ground: "I've given you so much medicine, and you still need ten days or half a month?"

Song Ning stood up, tilted her head and looked at him: "If we wait ten days or half a month, there won't be any food left. Don't blame me for being heartless then."

She couldn't wait ten days or half a month; she had to find a way to climb up, and then she wouldn't care whether he lived or died.

These refugees were indeed vicious, Xie Linzhou thought, if he couldn't have him, he would eat him.

He can't walk around for long periods of time yet, so he can only respond for now.

"Let's wait two more days. Whether I'm feeling well or not isn't up to me."

Song Ning was not one to sit idly by and wait for death. He believed it was better to rely on himself than on others, and what if that person went back on their word later?

Song Ning couldn't sleep that night either. She took out her rope and tried again and again.

Xie Linzhou on the other end couldn't take it anymore: "Can you please shut up for a minute?"

Song Ning ignored it, found two sticks, stuck them in the ground, and slowly climbed up until she finally reached the tree above.

Song Ning clung to the sapling, stuck the torch in it, and looked up, knowing the task ahead was arduous and the road ahead long.

There was another tree not far away. Song Ning tied the rope to the tree and slid down.

Further up are rocks, but it's too steep, so we have to wait until dawn to go up.

"I already told you I would take you up there." Xie Linzhou was already able to sit up and sat by the fire, watching the flames.

"My parents are still waiting for me to come back."

Song Dahai and Liu Yuelan only have her as their child. If she were to die, how would they survive?

"Anyway, I'm definitely going to climb up tomorrow, so you'll have to figure it out yourself."

She was already very kind to save his life, she wouldn't wait with him for that long.

The next morning, Song Ning packed his things and started climbing. He used a rope to climb up the second tree and walked all the way to the bottom of the rock.

Song Ning tried, and the stones were fairly sturdy; he should be able to climb them slowly.

Just as she was struggling to climb, she lost her grip and let go, then felt someone drag her from behind.
