Chapter 6 Chapter 6 "How did you treat others in the past...

"How did you explain me to others in the past?" The system asked with its head tilted, like a sparrow on a branch in spring.

Li Baili picked up her cup of tea, a look of nostalgia appeared on her face, her eyes drifting, as if she had returned to the past, and she whispered, "At that time, I said you were a little pet that I raised, and you could only be seen by others when I agreed."

"Many people asked you to agree, but you didn't agree to any of them." The system also remembered the past and laughed.

"Yes, there's more." Li Baili smiled as she recalled the secret reports she had read.

"Indeed, there is more than that," the system nodded repeatedly, "They said that in fact, it is not necessary to agree to see it. They think that only the person you really like can see it, but you don't like anyone, so no one can see it."

Li Baili laughed: "Where do they get these wonderful ideas?"

The system suddenly became depressed: "In fact, you have not been here for long, and the rumors outside have changed. They say that you have been crazy for a long time and are just going crazy. No one will believe the ravings of a madman, so your previous words are no longer valid. This is a good thing for that guy now."

"At least," Li Baili sighed slightly, and said with some emotion, "He is also the only one sitting on the throne now. Why are you calling that guy that guy?"

The system chirped with a bit of sarcasm and a bit of leisurely watching the fun, and said with a smile: "You have sat on that chair before. I really can't help it. I take it too seriously. Even if you are not there now, I have a feeling that you will go back sooner or later."

Li Baihe shook his head slightly, took a sip of tea and said, "I won't go back. I'm too tired. I will definitely die of exhaustion."

After a pause, he said with a hint of reminiscence in his eyes: "I have committed enough sins at that time. I cannot continue."

The system looked at him for a long while, then chuckled and said, "Is it because you have committed too many sins and are too tired that you don't want to go up, or is it because you have gone crazy enough and don't want to go anymore, so you don't want to go?"

In fact, when the system said this, it already had the answer in its mind, and it thought it was the latter.

But this does not mean that what Li Baili said was completely untrue.

He did feel troubled and tired, and he did feel that he had committed too many sins, but when it came down to it, they were all superficial reasons, and accounted for a very small proportion of the total.

Li Baili was silent for a while and drank her tea silently.

As the system watched, it sank to the bottom of the teapot, making bubbling sounds as if there was a fire burning underneath.

Li Baili put down the teacup, looked at the tea that had been mostly drunk, and suddenly smiled and said, "You already knew it, why are you asking me?"

The system slowly emerged from the teapot again, revealing only a pair of eyes. It looked at him cautiously and said, "Should we save him or not?"

Li Baili took another sip of tea and said slowly: "Since you said that if you don't save them, they might be forced to leave here, then of course we have to save them."

The system suddenly emerged from the teapot in a big chunk, like a cup of boiling coffee, with white foam all over its head. It asked with wide eyes, "How can we save it?"

Li Baili smiled and said, "Didn't you say that already?"

The system nodded and shrank back: "That's right, then you can summon it now."

Li Baili called back the sword-wielding man in a vest who was strolling leisurely outside.

"If I hadn't been quick enough to put on the invisible cloak, I would have been discovered." The sword-wielding man appeared next to the table in the yard, paused for a moment, and immediately bared his teeth and claws like a crab, and said to Li Baili.

Li Baili could see that he was pretending to intimidate her, so she smiled and said, "Before I summoned you, you knew what happened to me. How could you not prepare in advance? I don't believe you can still go shopping peacefully."

"Why can't I just go shopping peacefully?" The sword-bearer held the sword in front of him, tilted his head back, and said without admitting it: "I go shopping every day, I feel at ease, I do this every day, why should I feel uneasy? I've never heard of anyone who is not having fun. Then what's the point of playing?"

Li Baili smiled slowly: "Then you go back?"

The sword-bearer slammed the sword on the table, sat down and said, "Come on, you must have something to ask me. Tell me again in detail."

Li Baili squinted at him for a while, as if she couldn't see clearly and was dazzled by the bright sun. She asked, "Don't you know what I'm thinking? That's weird."

The sword holder closed his eyes and said helplessly, "How can I know clearly from such a long distance? Knowing is one thing, confirming is another. It's very different when you say it yourself. I'm deepening my memory. Otherwise, what if I make a mistake?"

The system hid in the teapot and whispered, "If you want to deepen your memory, you can ask me. It's just one sentence, how could I get it wrong? Just be honest, you just want to get close to the original body."

"I didn't touch him, why should I stick it? Don't talk nonsense!" The sword-bearer frowned slightly, picked up the scabbard on the table, and knocked it on the opened teapot.

The teapot cracked slightly.

The system hiding inside was trembling, but couldn't help but say: "Come on, don't I know you? If I didn't know why you are not keen on that kind of thing, with the characteristics of the vest, you would have made love in bed a long time ago. I'm afraid it can't be torn off or pulled apart."

The sword holder thrust the tip of the scabbard into the teapot opening and poked the system, as if poking a ball of soft marshmallow. He was a little disappointed and a little angry, and said, "What do you know? You are a system, not even a person, you don't understand anything. Don't speculate on other people's thoughts, okay? You can't figure it out. It's all wrong!"

The system was poked and quickly became turbulent, expanding into a marshmallow that cracked after being heated. The surface was slightly charred, and a sweet smell emanated from the inside. He raised his head from the teapot, tried to widen his eyes, pretending to be fierce, and asked: "All wrong? You have the guts to say to his face that you have never liked the original body and will never like it in the future. You have no intention of doing that kind of thing with him!"

The sword holder's face flushed, he gritted his teeth, knocked on the system, and said loudly: "I don't want to do that kind of thing with him at all!"

The system was hit hard and almost bit its tongue. After hearing what he said, it immediately laughed out loud, as if it had caught a handle, and couldn't wait to say: "You only said the last sentence, which means you are not completely indifferent. You just like him, right? You just like him!"

The first two sentences are fine and can be considered jokes, but the last sentence seems a bit like a gimmick.

Li Baili sighed, her face slightly red, but she looked calm. She smiled and said, "Have you guys had enough of the trouble?"

There was no harsh tone or momentum in his words, they were soft, even gentle, but the system and the sword holder immediately stopped fighting, looked at each other, and looked away.

The system said to Li Baili in a flattering way: "No more jokes."

The sword holder asked Li Baihe: "So how do we save her?"

He really knew what he was going to say.

Li Baili smiled slightly: "Wouldn't it be enough if you just get them out of the place where they are trapped?"

The sword-bearer frowned. "Where should we take them? If we take them too close, we might be discovered and caught again. If we take them too far, they won't know the way and it will be suspicious. It's easy for them to get into trouble."

"So, after rescuing them, we still have to find a way to resettle them. Can't they resettle themselves? They can just hide their identities and find a place to live, right? They don't look like they want to stand out." Li Baili frowned and asked, stroking the teacup in her hand.

"That being said, it's better to arrange it if possible, so as to avoid any problems that require going back and forth. Wouldn't that be more troublesome?" The swordsman shook his head slightly and said in a gentle tone.

Li Baili was surprised by his gentleness and said with a smile: "Then let's do as you say."

Li Baili drank the last of the tea in the cup: "Anyway, you are the one who goes out to do the work. You naturally have the right to make the decision."

The system looked at this and that, and muttered quietly: "Even if you find a place for them to stay, it doesn't mean nothing will happen. Things are unpredictable, so it's better to be cautious."

"I know what you mean. Aren't you saying that trouble may arise no matter what, so we shouldn't be too comfortable or too cautious? I just hope to avoid it as much as possible." Li Baili picked up the empty cup and put it down again.

"Anyway, I'll remind you if anything happens." The system said, curled up in the teacup.

"I understand." Li Baili nodded.

"Then I'll be out?" the sword bearer asked as he picked up the sword and stood up.

"Go away." Li Baili looked at him and said.

The swordsman nodded and turned away.

A gust of wind blew by, and Li Baili looked at the empty teacup and teapot in front of her. She felt that in the blink of an eye she was the only one left in the yard, so she picked up the kettle to boil water.

At the same time, the current emperor, who was reviewing memorials, was puzzled by the new secret report.

"He was talking to himself in the yard, as if there was a third person. He used to only talk to one person, but now he's talking to three. Has his illness gotten worse?" Current leader muttered to himself.

The subordinates knelt on the ground in silence.

The current emperor returned the secret report: "We already know what happened today."

The subordinate received the secret report and left.

The current emperor opened the next memorial: "There are people in the village near the villa halfway up the mountain who are suspected of intending to restore the old dynasty?"

The current emperor narrowed his eyes, frowned, and ordered: "Catch them all, leave no one alive, throw them all into the Dali Temple, and interrogate them until they confess everything. Otherwise, lock up all the people in the Dali Temple. I don't need any trash here."

The subordinate took the order and left.

The order soon reached the small mountain village.

The county magistrate surrounded the place with a group of people.
