Chapter 393: Not Coming Back, Going to Farewell
It snowed in the middle of the night.
The wind was so strong that the swing under the tree creaked. Chunyi looked over in a daze and saw Gu Nan swinging on the swing under the tree.
Junyi almost had a cardiac arrest. He used his hands and feet to crawl up and ran towards Gu Nan.
The new dark blue robe fluttered in the wind and snow at such a speed that the snowflakes were thrown out of rhythm.
Gu Nan looked over at the sound, a smile on his face, and teased, "You're so flustered, are you dreaming again?"
When Junyi heard this familiar accent, tears instantly fell from her eyes.
He stood in front of the swing in the wind and snow, not daring to get too close, nor too far away, and only asked: "Are you home?"
Gu Nan dangled her feet, and the braid beside her bun swayed along with them, smiling broadly, "I'm home."
"Are you happy?"
Gu Nan nodded heavily, his eyes shining, very serious, "Happy. Thank you, Chunyi."
Junyi's throat choked, and he lowered his head, tears rolling into the snow, burning spots and indentations. "Why don't you take me with you?"
"I'm sorry." Gu Nan said.
Junyi burst into tears, "I want to find you."
Gu Nan stopped shaking his feet and didn't say anything. He just looked at him with a pair of heavy and complicated eyes, which reflected the innocence on the ground and were surprisingly cold.
Junyi was hurt by her gaze, but became even more persistent. He took a step forward and repeated, "I'm going to find you."
Gu Nan raised his head, as if convinced by his firm tone, and his eyes softened, "Okay, I'll wait for you."
Junyi burst into tears again, but was speechless.
He knelt on Gu Nan's knees, his hot tears soaking Gu Nan's clothes, as if he wanted to show her all his longing and hesitation of the past few days.
"Junyi." A hand gently stroked his head, followed by a low laugh, "You should shave your hair. It pricks your hands."
Gu Nan touched her a few times lingeringly, then withdrew his hand and sighed softly, "Come see me soon, I miss you."
Junyi raised his head.
The next second, the swing was empty.
The body sank.
He woke up with a start.
There was no swing or heavy snow in front of him. He just lay on the coffin and dreamed of Gu Nan.
Junyi raised his hand and touched his face, which was wet.
Looking down, I saw a pool of cold tears accumulated in the coffin.
He was stunned for a moment, then he wiped his tears with his sleeves. As he wiped, he began to laugh, and tears fell from his eyes as he laughed.
More than two hundred years.
He finally dreamed of Gu Nan.
Whether it was a dream of Dharma obstacles or an ordinary dream, he didn't care, he wanted to find her.

After Junyi decided on his itinerary and removed the barrier, he realized that it was all a dream and more than a month had passed down the mountain.
Early April is the time when grass is green and birds are singing, and the spring scenery is beautiful.
Before leaving, he went to see Xuyun.
Xuyun was already too old to get up. When he saw him, he was so excited that he trembled and couldn't utter a complete sentence for a long time.
Chunyi said to Xuyun, just as he had said goodbye to Huiwu before, "I'm leaving now. Take care."
Chang Qing noticed that the barrier had dissipated and hurried over. Seeing Chunyi, he was stunned for a moment before bowing respectfully and asking, "Where are you going to travel, ancestor?"
Junyi: "I won't come back. No need to wait any longer."
Chang Qing had anticipated this, but he still couldn't help but feel sad. The spiritual energy was thinning, the monks were declining, and without Chunyi, perhaps within a hundred years, Fayuan Temple would be unable to find a successor who could enter the Dao.
He looked up at Chunyi, wanting to remember this Buddhist disciple who brought an end to the last era.
Those sharp, upward-slanting phoenix eyes looked down with the compassion of a Buddha looking down on the world, and also with an unprecedented gentleness.
What he saw was no longer just ordinary people, but the people standing in front of him, Xuyun and Changqing at this moment.
Chang Qing was startled, and a sense of foreboding coldness crept up the back of his neck. His gaze once again uncontrollably fell behind Chunyi. He mumbled, "Master Chunyi..."
Chunyi raised his palm, chanted a Buddhist verse, and turned to leave.
Chang Qing stood there and watched Chunyi's figure go away little by little.
All the sorrows and joys in the world are nothing but partings and reunions.
Junyi has moved on from separation and is heading towards reunion.

Junyi went to see Lin Jingchun.
Lin Jingchun and Lin Jingzhe left Kyoto and went to a small city called Xincheng.
This small city seems to have been forgotten by the high-tech of cyberpunk. There are no skyscrapers that block out the sun, nor are there ant nests of slum buildings. The sunshine in this city is very generous, and even the old houses from the last century are illuminated brightly.
The pace of this city is not as fast as Kyoto. The leisurely pedestrians, clean and tidy streets, and just the right amount of technology seem to be trying to get closer to every ordinary citizen.
Junyi found the Lin family and rang the doorbell.
But it was a long time before someone moved to the door and opened the peephole.
With a "click", the door lock opened.
Lin Jingzhe opened the door only a crack and asked Chunyi through the crack, "What are you doing here?"
"I have something to say to him, and I'll leave after I'm done."
Lin Jingzhe said, "I'll ask," closed the door and went to the master bedroom.
After a while, he returned, opened the door and said, "Come in."
Junyi ducked down and walked in.
Lin Jingzhe was forced to take a step back because of his overly tall stature, and then he discovered that Chunyi was carrying a huge coffin on his back.
He was stunned for two seconds before asking in a trembling voice, "Is it my sister?"
His voice was so low that it was almost inaudible, but as soon as he finished speaking, crackling sounds were heard from the master bedroom not far away.
Lin Jingzhe quickly came to his senses and jogged, bumping into Lin Jingchun who was walking out with the help of the wall.
Lin Jingzhe subconsciously avoided it, so Lin Jingchun saw Chunyi standing in the middle of the living room with the coffin on his back.
Lin Jingchun's eyes instantly turned red, "Sister..."
He had lost a lot of weight. The male model who used to look thin when dressed and muscular when undressed had become as thin as a skeleton. Perhaps because he was injured or because he was too weak, he could not stand steadily and would shiver if he walked a little faster.
His face was pale, his expression was listless, as if his roots had been pulled out, only in his eye sockets were there two clusters of unextinguished flames.
At first glance, he looked almost the same as before Gu Nan left.
There was even a hint of death between his pale eyebrows and eyes.
Junyi could see that he wouldn't live long.
Back in February, Chunyi had calculated that Lin Jingchun was doomed to a great disaster. He asked Lin Jingchun if he wanted to know, but Lin Jingchun said no, so he didn't tell her.
This time, Junyi didn't plan to say anything, and just said briefly: "She went home and won't come back again. Don't wait any longer."
Lin Jingchun, who had just stretched out his hand to touch the coffin, was stunned.
Tears gathered in his eyes, the glimmer of light that had just risen suddenly went out, and his hands suspended in mid-air trembled like mad.
"Y-Really?"
He paused twice after speaking just two words, and his voice was so trembling that it was almost inaudible.
"yes."
Chunyi smelled blood, lowered his head, and saw a line of gauze soaked with blood on Lin Jingchun's lower abdomen.
"Don't wait." Junyi said again.
Lin Jingchun was shaking more and more violently, not only his hands but his legs as well. He couldn't stand and fell down. Fortunately, Lin Jingzhe was quick to support him.
"She told you." Lin Jingchun asked.
Junyi: "I figured it out."
"Nonsense!" Lin Jingzhe interrupted, "Why did you come all the way here to tell us if you figured it out? You just wanted to keep my sister all to yourself!"
Chunyi's gaze flickered for a moment at Lin Jingchun's grief-stricken face. "You're right."
He had no reason to come to the new city. He just felt that they were destined to be together, and he knew the pain of waiting, so his poor empathy was at work.
But Lin Jingchun was dying, and Lin Jingzhe's face didn't look too good either.
Why be so self-righteous and give me advice this time?
If persuasion were useful, there wouldn't be so many idiots in this world.
Junyi turned around and tried to leave.
Lin Jingchun took two steps forward, tears streaming down her face, "Let me take one more look at my sister."
"This is my coffin." After saying that, he opened the door and bent down to go out.
Lin Jingchun refused to give up and chased after her. His skinny hands groped the wall, his pale fingertips almost blending into the wall. "Sister, do you have any words for me?"
"No." Junyi walked downstairs.
Lin Jingchun's voice choked with sobs, "Really? Not a single word?"
He chased after the coffin on Junyi's back as if he was chasing after the hope of survival.
Stumbling and screaming.
But Chun said without turning around: "No, not a single word."
