Chapter 109 Persuasion

Qin Wenyuan forced a smile, trying to hide his fatigue: "Mother, I'm fine, it's just that prison life makes me a little uncomfortable."

There was a flash of anger in Mrs. Qin's eyes, but she quickly suppressed her emotions and gently patted Qin Wenyuan's hand: "Yuan'er, you have suffered. But you must remember that no matter what happens, your mother will support you."

Qin Wenyuan looked at his mother with gratitude, and a warm feeling surged in his heart.

"Mother, I have something to tell you." Qin Wenyuan said in a deep voice.

Madam Qin nodded slightly, motioning for him to continue.

Qin Wenyuan took a deep breath and told the whole story of his escape from prison. He deliberately ignored the scars on his face and only said that he accidentally met a good friend in prison and was able to escape.

Madam Qin's face was serious. She was silent for a moment and said, "Yuan'er, now that you have escaped from prison, what are you going to do next?"

Qin Wenyuan's eyes flashed with determination: "Mother, I want to clear my father's name and restore his reputation."

Madam Qin's eyes flashed with approval, but then she said worriedly: "Yuan'er, you have to know that this road is not easy to walk. What can you do alone?"

Qin Wenyuan clenched his fists and said firmly: "Mother, I know this road is not easy, but I can't sit and watch my father die unjustly. Even if it is a road of no return, I will go on."

Madam Qin was silent for a moment, and a hint of determination flashed in her eyes: "In this case, then mother will accompany you."

Qin Wenyuan was shocked. He didn't expect his mother to support him so much. He held his mother's hand tightly, tears welling up in his eyes: "Mom, I don't deserve you to do this."

Madam Qin patted Qin Wenyuan's hand gently: "Silly child, mother is with you because you are my son and I trust you."

Qin Wenyuan and his mother, Madam Qin, began the difficult journey of clearing their name. They ran around looking for evidence, but to no avail. The scars on Qin Wenyuan's face became more and more obvious, and he had to wear a cloak from time to time to avoid being recognized.

However, their efforts were not in vain. By chance, they met a former court painter who had painted a portrait of Mrs. Qin's husband and therefore knew something about the Qin family's injustice.

The painter told them that the Qin family was framed because a palace maid found a bloodstained knife in front of the Qin family's door. And this palace maid was Qin Wenyuan's wet nurse.

Qin Wenyuan and his mother, Madam Qin, were shocked when they heard this. They immediately understood that this was a conspiracy.

They decided to find the palace maid at all costs and clear her name.

The landlord seemed to be thinking about something, but Old Lady Qin grabbed his hand and said, "Boss, tell me quickly, where is Master Sheng?"

Fang Shang was slightly stunned, with a complex emotion flashing in his eyes. He knew that this question could not be avoided after all. He gently pulled back his hand and showed a bitter smile on his face: "Madam Qin, Master Sheng...he is now in Zuiyue Tower."

Madam Qin's expression changed, and she couldn't help but increase the strength of her hands: "Zuiyue Tower? That notorious place? How could he go to that kind of place!"

The landlord was silent for a moment, then slowly spoke: "Mr. Sheng is in a bad mood and wants to go there to relax. Old Madam, you know that he has been under a lot of pressure recently."

A trace of helplessness flashed in Madam Qin's eyes. She knew that Sheng Hongxiao's recent situation was indeed difficult, but Zuiyue Tower was not the place for him to go after all. She sighed and said slowly: "Boss, take me to find him. I must explain it to him in person."

Fang Shang pondered for a moment, nodded, and turned to walk out. Old Madam Qin followed closely behind him, and the two of them walked through the corridor of the Qin Mansion and came to Zuiyue Tower.

Inside Zuiyue Tower, the lights were bright, and there was constant singing and laughter. Sheng Hongxiao sat alone in a corner, drinking glass after glass. When he saw Madam Qin and Fang Shang coming in, a flash of surprise flashed in his eyes, but he soon regained his composure.

Madam Qin walked straight to Sheng Hongxiao with a serious look on her face: "Mr. Sheng, how can you come here? Don't you know what kind of place this is?"

Sheng Hongxiao smiled slightly, with a hint of sarcasm in his eyes: "Old Madam, I know what kind of place this is, but I am upset and just want to find a place to drink quietly. Although this place is not good, it can at least let me forget my troubles temporarily."

Madam Qin frowned, she could see the pain in Sheng Hongxiao's heart, but she was more worried that he would sink into despair: "Mr. Sheng, you will only make things worse. You should cheer up and face reality."

Sheng Hongxiao's eyes darkened. He looked at Madam Qin and raised a bitter smile: "Madam, you are right. But there are some things that I can't cheer up just because I want to. I... I have tried my best."

Madam Qin's heart tightened, she took a deep breath, and slowly said: "Mr. Sheng, I know the pain in your heart. But you have to understand that there is no hurdle in this world that cannot be overcome. As long as you have confidence and determination, you will be able to get out of the predicament."

Sheng Hongxiao looked at Madam Qin, with a hint of gratitude in his eyes: "Madam, thank you for your concern. I will remember your words and try to cheer up."

As the night deepened, Madam Qin looked at Sheng Hongxiao with a satisfied smile on her face: "Mr. Sheng, it's late, I should go back. You should go to bed early, because you will face new challenges tomorrow."

Sheng Hongxiao nodded, with a hint of determination in his eyes: "Old Madam, I will remember your words and try to cheer up. Don't worry, I will definitely let you see a brand new Sheng Hongxiao."

Madam Qin patted Sheng Hongxiao's shoulder gently and turned to leave. Fang Shang followed her and they returned to the Qin Mansion together.

Back in the room, Madam Qin sat on the chair and breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at Fang Shang, a trace of gratitude flashed in her eyes: "Boss, thank you for your company tonight. Without you, I might not be able to convince Master Sheng."

Fang Shang smiled slightly: "Madam, this is what I should do. Master Sheng is a responsible person, I believe he will be able to get out of this predicament."

Old Madam Qin nodded, her eyes full of anticipation.

Madam Qin and Qin Wenyuan ran all the way through the bustling streets of Kowloon, their footsteps echoing on the cobblestones. Although old, Madam Qin's eyes were still sharp, and she held Qin Wenyuan's arm tightly, as if to tell him that no matter what difficulties lay ahead, they would face them together.

After running for a while, the two finally stopped in a relatively secluded corner, panting. Old Madam Qin wiped the sweat from her forehead and looked at Qin Wenyuan, her eyes showing both worry and determination.

"Wenyuan, why were you so impulsive just now?" Old Madam Qin's breath was weak, but her voice was unusually firm.

Qin Wenyuan panted and replied, "Mother, I... I really can't stand watching those bullies bullying innocent people. Our Qin family is a well-known figure in Kowloon Street, and we can't just sit back and watch."
