Chapter 11 The Abused Deng Guan

Sheng Yunrong suddenly remembered that the old lady of the Deng family had said last time that their Deng family was now secretly planning to assist Prince Jing in his rebellion.

She couldn't help but feel nervous, as the words of the old lady of the Deng family last time seemed to still echo in her ears. She knew very well that this matter was no small matter. If it was true, it would be a serious crime that would result in the execution of the entire family.

Sheng Yunrong decided to find out the truth, so she took Xiang Zhu and left Qin's house quietly.

As soon as she walked out of the house, Sheng Yunrong heard a familiar scolding voice. She looked up and saw Old Madam Qin standing at the door, her face livid, pointing her finger at her and cursing: "Sheng Yunrong, you are so bold! The house is in a mess, and you still go out to show off! What are you going to do? Don't you think our Qin family is not embarrassed enough?"

Sheng Yunrong laughed, pretended not to hear anything, quickly got into the carriage and drove away.

Old Madam Qin choked on the dust kicked up by the carriage and stamped her feet with her hands on her hips in anger.

After Sheng Yunrong left without looking back, the furious Old Madam Qin hurried to her grandson Qin Fengyun's yard, her face full of anxiety and worry.

She pushed the door open and saw Qin Fengyun sitting at the table with a gloomy face. He slammed the teacup in his hand onto the table with a bang.

"Feng Yun, what's wrong with you?" Old Madam Qin asked softly, her eyes full of worry.

Qin Fengyun raised his head, his eyes flashing with anger and hatred, "Grandma, I was betrayed by that bitch Ziying!" After he said that, his face became even gloomier.

Madam Qin was stunned for a moment, then sat opposite Qin Fengyun and gently held his hand, "Fengyun, don't be angry first, there is always a way to solve the problem."

Qin Fengyun looked at his grandmother. The anger in his eyes eased a little, but he still couldn't hide his heartache and disappointment. "Grandma, you know how much I like Ziying, but she...she actually..."

Old Madam Qin sighed. Qin Fengyun was a deeply affectionate man, and this betrayal was undoubtedly a huge blow to him.

"Feng Yun, there will always be many disappointments in life, but we can't give up just because of one setback. Ziying's betrayal may be a test for you. You must learn to face it and learn to be strong."

After Qin Fengyun heard what his grandmother said, the anger in his eyes gradually dissipated, replaced by a kind of determination, "Grandma, I will, I will be strong, I will not let Ziying succeed! Anyway, she has been beaten to death by me! Only when she dies can I vent the hatred in my heart!"

Old Madam Qin was shocked when she heard this. She had not expected that her grandson would be so cruel and violent!

I don’t know, is it good or bad?

Sheng Yunrong, wearing a veil, tiptoed to the back door of Deng's house.

She hid in the dark, staring closely at the evil act that was being played out. She saw a vicious woman holding a wooden stick, beating the little girl hard, cursing at her.

Sheng Yunrong took a closer look and recognized that the little girl was Deng Wan, the eldest daughter of the Deng family.

Deng Wan huddled on the ground, tears streaming down her face, but she dared not utter a word.

Sheng Yunrong couldn't help but take a few steps closer, wanting to see more clearly. She was confused and wondered, when did the Deng family become so cruel that they would do such a cruel thing to the eldest daughter?

She took a deep breath and was about to help, but she heard the voice of the ferocious woman.

"Deng Wan, you little bitch, if you can't find the lost jade pendant today, forget about going home!" the woman said viciously, waving the wooden stick in her hand again.

Deng Wan was trembling with fear. She looked up at the woman with fear in her eyes: "I... I really don't know where the jade pendant is. Please, stop hitting me."

"Stop!" Sheng Yunrong couldn't bear to watch it anymore, and she walked over with big strides.

The woman was stunned for a moment, then turned to Sheng Yunrong angrily: "Who are you? How dare you interfere in my business!"

Sheng Yunrong looked at her coldly: "I am Madam Qin's wife Sheng Yunrong. Deng Wan is my friend's child. I will naturally take care of her affairs!"

The woman's eyes widened, obviously she didn't expect that the woman in front of her wearing a veil was actually the wife of the Qin family. She restrained her expression, but still asked unwillingly: "Madam Qin, why do you have to meddle in other people's business? This jade pendant that Deng Wan lost is my family's heirloom. If she can't find it back, I will make her pay!"

Sheng Yunrong frowned. She looked Deng Wan up and down. She saw that Deng Wan was in tattered clothes and had tears on his face. She couldn't help but feel distressed. She spoke slowly, "The heirloom is important, but the child's life is more important. Deng Wan is just a child. How could she know the whereabouts of the jade pendant? If you treat her like this, aren't you afraid that she will be resentful and retaliate against you in the future?"

The woman's face changed when she heard this, but she still said stubbornly: "She is my girl. It is my business to discipline her. As an outsider, what qualifications do you have to interfere?"

Sheng Yunrong smiled slightly. She walked to Deng Wan and gently touched her head. "Deng Wan, don't be afraid. I will help you find the jade pendant. First, tell me where you lost the jade pendant."

Deng Wan looked at Sheng Yunrong, a trace of gratitude flashed in her eyes, and she whispered: "Madam, the jade pendant was lost in the back garden. I was picking flowers at that time and accidentally lost it."

Sheng Yunrong nodded and turned to the woman: "In that case, let's go to the back garden and look for it. Maybe we can find the jade pendant."

The woman hesitated for a moment, but finally agreed.

The group came to the back garden of Deng's house, and Sheng Yunrong carefully looked for the trace of the jade pendant. The woman stared at Deng Wan closely, fearing that she would run away.

In a corner of the garden, Sheng Yunrong found a trace of loose soil. She squatted down, dug gently a few times, and actually found the lost jade pendant.

She picked up the jade pendant and handed it to Deng Wan: "Look, I found it. Deng Wan, you should be more careful in the future and don't lose such important things again."

Deng Wan took the jade pendant, tears welled up in his eyes again: "Thank you, Madam. I will be more careful next time."

The woman looked at this scene and couldn't help but sigh. She glared at Deng Wan, then whispered, "Since the jade pendant has been found, you can go back. But in the future, if you make a mistake again, don't blame me for being rude!"

Deng Wan nodded and held the jade pendant tightly, fearing that it would be lost again.

Sheng Yunrong looked at her, sighed, and advised the woman: "No matter who you are to Deng Wan, you should be gentler to her in the future. Children's hearts are very fragile."

The woman snorted and walked away with a swagger.

Sheng Yunrong called Deng Wan to her side. Seeing that she was beaten all over, she felt a pang of pain in her heart and decided to take her to the clinic to treat her wounds first.

Sheng Yunrong gently held Deng Wan's hand, her eyes revealing endless pity.

Deng Wan trembled slightly, but tried hard not to let the tears fall. Sheng Yunrong sighed, took Deng Wan through the back door of the Deng residence, and went straight to the nearby clinic.
