Chapter 29: Qin Huaiyu's Rage

Qin Moyuan took the basin from Xiang Zhu, soaked the towel in the hot water, then wrung out the water and wiped the face of Sheng Yunrong who was resting on the bed.

Qin Moyuan gently wiped his mother Sheng Yunrong's face and carefully tucked in the quilt for her. At this moment, the noise outside the door seemed particularly abrupt. He frowned and said to the maid Xiang Zhu, "Xiang Zhu, go and see what happened outside the door. Why is it so noisy?"

Xiang Zhu agreed and hurried out of the room. After a while, she came back, looking a little embarrassed, and said to Qin Moyuan: "Master, it was the second young lady who threw things outside the door, and threw tomatoes in front of Madam Sheng's door. She seemed quite annoyed."

Qin Moyuan's face darkened when he heard this, and he turned and walked out the door.

As soon as I walked out of my mother's room, I saw my sister Qin Huaiyu standing in the corridor, holding a few tomatoes in her hands and looking impatient.

"Huai Yu, what are you doing?" Qin Moyuan asked in a deep voice.

Qin Huaiyu rolled his eyes at him, curled his lips, and roared: "What do you care? I'm just venting my frustration. It's all that stinky woman's fault. The old lady has banned all of us, and I can't even go out to see my dear little wife! I really can't stand it anymore!"

Qin Moyuan frowned and said in a serious tone: "Mother is seriously ill. As children, we should do our best to take care of her. How can you be so willful? Throwing tomatoes in front of mother's door, how can you be so disrespectful?"

Qin Huaiyu was embarrassed when he heard this, but he still said stubbornly: "I just threw a few tomatoes, I didn't do anything excessive. Besides, I did this to vent, otherwise I would be crazy."

As he spoke, Qin Huaiyu suddenly picked up a fist-sized tomato from the ground and smashed it towards Qin Moyuan's face with lightning speed.

Tomato juice splashed everywhere, covering Qin Moyuan's face and clothes. He widened his eyes and looked at the sister in front of him in astonishment.

Qin Huaiyu had a sneer on his face, his eyes full of provocation: "What do you think, Qin Moyuan, do you still dare to teach me a lesson?"

Qin Moyuan wiped the tomato juice off his face, suppressed his anger, and said calmly, "Huai Yu, I know you are unhappy, but my mother has already recognized me as her son. This is an unchangeable fact. Why can't you put aside your prejudice and accept this reality?"

Qin Huaiyu snorted and said disdainfully: "How could I, the second young lady of the Qin family, have a brother like you who was born a beggar? Qin Moyuan, who do you think you are? You are just an orphan adopted by your mother. What qualifications do you have to teach me?"

Qin Moyuan frowned, feeling a little sad. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down: "Huai Yu, I know you are resentful, but the Qin Mansion is your home, and I am your relative. You should understand that the relationship between us is unchangeable."

Qin Huaiyu's eyes widened, his face full of disdain: "Family affection? Ha, what a joke! You are just an adopted son, what qualifications do you have to talk to me about family affection? Qin Moyuan, I tell you, from now on, you are no longer a member of the Qin family. You must call me 'Miss', otherwise don't blame me for being rude!"

Qin Moyuan's face became increasingly heavy. He knew Qin Huaiyu's temper and also knew that any explanation would be futile at this moment.

It suddenly dawned on him that the reason his mother asked him to stay with her in her room these days was because she was worried that Qin Huaiyu would do something extreme and hurt him!

At this moment, Xiang Zhu, the maid in Sheng Yunrong's room, came out and couldn't help but stepped forward to dissuade them: "Master Mo Yuan, Miss Huai Yu, do you know that the Madam is resting at the moment? Please restrain yourself a little, so as not to affect the efficacy of the Madam's medicine."

Qin Moyuan frowned slightly when he heard this. He stopped and turned to look at Xiang Zhu, with a hint of apology in his eyes: "Sister Xiang Zhu, I did lose my composure, but..."

Xiang Zhu shook his head gently and interrupted him: "Master, I know you are suffering, but the eldest lady is not feeling well and needs to rest. If you and the young lady have something on your mind, you may as well talk about it later."

Qin Huaiyu interrupted Xiang Zhu impatiently: "Xiang Zhu, you are just a maid, you have no right to speak here! My position as a young lady was taken away by that vixen Sheng Yunrong, how can I not feel resentment?"

Xiang Zhu's face changed slightly, but he remained calm: "Miss, don't say anything careless. If Madam Sheng Yunrong heard it, I'm afraid she would be disappointed. Please restrain yourself and don't let the Madam and the Young Master worry about you."

Qin Moyuan regained his composure at this time. He gently rebuked Qin Huaiyu: "Huaiyu, how can you speak like that? Mother has always doted on you, how can you be so rude?"

"Xiang Zhu!"

At this moment, Sheng Yunrong woke up slowly, rubbed her temples, and immediately called Xiang Zhu.

When Xiang Zhu heard Madam calling her, she immediately ran into the room and saw Sheng Yunrong lying on the bed, her face pale but her eyes still clear. Her heart tightened, and she hurried forward and asked softly, "Madam, are you feeling unwell?"

Sheng Yunrong smiled slightly and said, "It's okay, just a minor injury, it's okay. Xiang Zhu, do you know how the old lady is doing?"

Xiang Zhu nodded gently and said, "Madam, the old lady was in a bad mood because of the quarrel with the master. She just took medicine and went to bed. However, the old lady's disgust for Miss Lingmeng seems to be getting more and more obvious."

Sheng Yunrong pondered for a moment and said, "It will take time to develop this feeling of disgust. At present, she is just a little annoyed with Ling Meng. Where is Mo Yuan now?"

Xiang Zhu replied somewhat awkwardly: "The Second Young Master is arguing with the Young Miss outside the door right now..."

Sheng Yunrong sighed softly and said, "Please ask the second young master to come over. I have something to discuss with him."

Xiang Zhu took the order and left. After a while, Qin Moyuan hurried to Sheng Yunrong's room.

Seeing Sheng Yunrong's pale face, he couldn't help but worry and asked hurriedly, "Mother, are you feeling better?"

Sheng Yunrong smiled and said, "It's nothing, just a minor injury. Mo Yuan, do you know how much the old lady hates Ling Meng?"

Qin Moyuan nodded slightly and said, "Grandmother is indeed a little dissatisfied with Miss Lingmeng, but I don't know the specific reason."

Sheng Yunrong frowned and said, "It will take time to develop this feeling of disgust. At present, she is just a little annoyed with Ling Meng. Mo Yuan, how do you think we should deal with this matter?"

Qin Moyuan pondered for a moment and said, "Mother, I think we might as well observe for a while to see if the old lady's attitude has changed. If she really hates Miss Lingmeng, we will make plans then."

Sheng Yunrong agreed, nodded slightly, and said, "You are right. Let's observe for now and don't alert the enemy."

Qin Moyuan said: "Mother, I will go outside to persuade Sister Huaiyu first. If you need anything, you can call me at any time."

Sheng Yunrong nodded gently and waved, "Go ahead."
