Chapter 25 Seeking Help from Concubine Zhen

"For the sake of our childhood friendship, please help me this time."

Zhen Fei's eyes flickered, and as she recalled the past, her expression was no longer defensive. She pointed casually and said, "Put it here. The table in the kitchen is missing a leg, so it's just right for padding the corner."

"Thank you." Concubine Yi thanked him and left Changning Palace.

It was still dark, as if it would never get light.

Ning Shuyi was lying on the hospital bed, her body bent, her whole body like a taut bowstring, her teeth chattering, her hands clenched into fists, and black energy wrapped around her wrists.

The medicine boy guarding the gate took pity on her and handed her a bowl of painkillers. Ning Heyu seemed to have grasped a life-saving straw and begged, "Please help me pass on a message. I need to see someone."

The medicine boy looked panicked and quickly pulled his hand back. People from Qiwu Palace and Chunxi Palace had sent a message saying that they would not see her.

Ning Heyu guessed the reason why the medicine boy refused to deliver the letter for her from his dilemma. She took off a red gold bracelet from her wrist and stuffed it into the medicine boy's hand.

"Young Doctor, please go to Cangzhu Palace and ask Gu Gengyi to come see me."

The medicine boy hesitated, and Ning Heyu said, "After the task is completed, there will be a generous reward."

The medicine boy touched the gold bracelet in his hand and nodded secretly.

"Here comes a medicine boy. He didn't bring his medicine box and wasn't accompanied by anyone. He said he was delivering a message for Ning Shuyi."

Chuchu finished speaking and bent down to change Gu Yinwei's shoes. "Master, it's so late, do we have to go?"

"I have to go and see her, in case she has something important to ask me."

Chuchu wanted to persuade her again, but Biantao gently pulled her sleeve and she immediately shut up.

"You don't have to follow me. I'll go alone."

Gu Yinwei walked out of Cangzhu Hall carrying a lantern, and the medicine boy walked in front to lead the way.

Gu Yinwei took a shortcut and avoided the guards, and met Ning Heyu.

She looked decadent and poisonous, like a flower about to wither. No matter how dazzling she was at the banquet in the Waterside Pavilion, she looked just as miserable now.

"Did you know this already?"

Gu Yinwei slowly sat down next to a white oil lamp, "Know what?"
